Chapter 229 - Kick You Out!

"Well, I'll try my best, if I can. Unfortunately, my contacts are limited and this thing seems to be confidential. None is opening their mouth to say." Charles was honest.

But to her dismay, if he tried his best and didn't find any lead which ans that if he is unsuccessful, then no one will be able to go ahead and find it.

Nodding her head in understanding, she sohow felt sad. 'If Charles also doesn't know then who will know? Only Javier and Mr. Shawn? That will be too much to ask them..'

She isn't even intending to go and ask straightforwardly because, in the back of her mind, it was very well known to her that she will only get a negative response from either side.

"Anyways, Ms.. Shirley is so happy with the engagent, so it must be sothing to do with Shawn and Shirley Too. It must be her idea or sothing which she spoke to Mr. Shawn otherwise she won't have curved expressions..."Charles once again spoke to tell her the news.

Looking into his eyes, she asked in a deeper voice, "So, Mr. Shawn? is simply a puppet to her talks?"

"No he isn't." Why!? Just now he said that. Jennifer's eyes once again narrowed with the spark, "How does Shirley do the work then? How can she mani…" her words were cut short in the middle when sothing struck her mind.

Her eyes widened at the realization, "So the one who brought the offer is Shirley. Who adds the idea in Mr. Shawn's brain. Or at least bring it to his notice." Finding the catch, Charles gave her a big thumbs up.

It was pretty much complicated, to begin with, yet they are making sense to her sohow.

Moreover, Shirley's hatred towards her is no less a joke. With Emily as her close ally, all her offers must be against them.

Jennifer simply felt things need to be settled as soon as possible. She brought her hand near her mind to rub it slightly.

It was hard to absorb all at once but sohow she knew that Charles's words were too long to deny. 'So, Javier has sothing to gain from this engagent.' This was the conclusion she reached in the end.

At last, Jennifer knew that stopping Charles would be wrong now. "Alright, I hope if you dig it out, you can tell too. Although I'm not your family mber.. at least.."

Instead of her, Charles competed for her sentence by himself, "..at last soone on whom we can rely and, as far as I know, you will not hurt my brother intentionally.."

So much trust over her? Jennifer was impressed yet she confidently nodded in return.

"I will take your leave now. Hopefully, Javier will turn up anyti soon."

"Will see you around. And.. don't do anything stupid just like before. If there is one door closed, I believe any other door will open very soon for you too." Hearing his encouraging words only gave her a boost.

Using her legs in the direction back in the house, she climbed the stairs and was ready to go back to her room yet stopped in the middle corridor when she felt her shoulder being crashed against another figure. "Ouch! Jennifer!"

The person who yelled was none other than Emily herself. At this rate, as Jennifer was absorbed in a daze she failed to notice soone's presence here.

But the shrill had already bought her out of the daze when he saw that the lady's clutch fell on the ground. "I'm sorry... I was just thinking.."

"Yeah, all you know is to think and attract other people's n. Gosh... I don't know how you are even allowed to live under this roof.."

The word was solidly personal which made Jennifer shocked. "I already told you sorry. Why are you getting so hyped up?"

"? Yelled at you? Hah!" Sarcastic scoff left Emily's mouth when she stood on her toes after taking her clutch back in her hand and gazing at Jennfier with extre eyes, "When a lady is an open threat to my fiance, you wanna take it to act calm?"

"If you feel that I'm a threat then rember that it is your fiance who is willing to let be a threat to you with this. Why don't you tell your dear Fiance who you have always favored and kept with him? Under one roof?"

Jennifer refused to step down, as she is residing in this mansion because Javier gave her the right to be. If not, then at least no one can insult her with her character in between.

Emily's eyes burst in anger when she wasn't able to digest her talking back too easily either, "Just like how I expect a slut to be.."

"Slut? That Is your work since you are the one who upgrades your position from a re friend to fiance. I heard that you had even requested your fiance to let you climb his bed, is that true?"

Jennifer wasn't less sarcastic in her speech since she knew this won't be as easy as wanted this to be. Emily's nails were digging into her flesh, and Jennifer already took the notice of the sa.

Not only that, the amount of anger that Emily was resting herself with, wasn't new to her. "Emily, why don't you talk on this, with Javier himself?"

"I can talk with him whenever I wish to. You are no one to tell , when I should converse with my fiance and when I shouldn't." Emily's gaze glared at her from head to toe.

She stepped ahead, closer to Jennifer's body without tearing her gaze off. "You… are literally nothing Jennifer Taylor."

The coldness she used was of the next level. Whereas Jennifer's chin lifted itself, both the ladies had absolute silence of anger between them.

"You know what Jennifer?" Emily said to which Jennifer's eyebrows were raised.

"Once I get married to Javier, you would be the third woman in this. Trust ..you will be the first one I kick off from this mansion, with the proper rights in my hand!"
