Chapter 178 - First And Last Love!
Javier was totally dumbfounded by the comnt.
His eyes widened just like that of saucers with an unexpected answer from his side, "You.. an to say that today was your anniversary with her and that is why you drank so much?"
"Obviously... Sotis.. drinking is the only solution to.. heal the wound in my heart, Javier's."
A light chuckle passed through his lips when Charles spoke politely.
Yet it didn't make much of a difference since Javier was now understanding the entire scene.
'Looks like he isn't aware of Siera's current position and her future plans.'
If that was the case, it was his responsibility to tell his brother about the sa.. and apprise him about the future too.
Otherwise, it will already prove to be a shock.
Taking a deep breath, Javier continued his ssage on Charles's forehead, caressing his hair, "You still miss her right?"
A faint smile ranging on his face when he answered back, "I.. do. There Isn't a single day when my thoughts aren't remixed all our past mories.."
The deep words were very much solid and Javier rembered the ti when his brother was so much in love.
He, as his younger sibling, used to idolize them as the most perfect couple. But when the circumstances changed, so did the relationship with the passage of ti..
"It may be hard to let go of soone you deeply love and see her getting married to soone in front of your eyes."
"Indeed. Especially when the person is your first and last love.. gosh… am I talking about my life.. life to.. with soone like you?" The move was clear but Javier didn't feel offended.
Instead of taking it in a better manner, he teased with a slight smirk, "At least I have been trying to get my lady by my side, and stopped her marriage. Unlike you."
"I would have done the sa if she was willing to be with . Forcing never helped , and forced marriages don't go well. Didn't you hear? I heard.. she got a divorce from her husband.. but they reconciled very soon and now.. married again.."
It never ca as a shock as Javwir also kept a track of her actions after she left their estate.
It was known to him that the lady beca pregnant very soon and later on, gave birth to twins.. or a son, which is still a mystery, to begin with.
However, he never turned around to look back, neither did his brother.
They carried their life gracefully although their heart might crave for sothing else at least his brother's heart does.
"Would you like to et her, brother? If she soday she shows in front of you?" Javier kept the conversation going.
Charles didn't reply instantly, instead, he was in a daze.
Probably thinking how will he react if he sees the sa face once again with soone else's children and not.. as his wife?
But later on, he finally answered, "I don't know. Might freak out or will go away from her life to not disturb her anymore. You Know my actions very well Javier."
"I do know about that but still, would you et her? Soday.. in your life ahead? at any stage?" Javier was first of all, interested to know if his brother got the sa chance, will he realize it?
But this was nice to know the impact of the words he will further say."What are you trying to say sothing, my little brother? As far as I know, you are not talkative about anyone... until it cos to Jennifer. What is the secret."
"Maybe you have seen through but I would like to know... your wish to.." was all that Javier asked but in return, he got puzzled smiled, and replied, "No. I don't have any heart to et her after what happened in the past."
Because if I do.. it will create a blunder and I will not be able to stop myself from having an affair with her.. but Charles kept these words in his mouth.
"Then you should be a ready brother."
Javier's words were a bit confusional to Charles who was still trying to overco his alcohol effect.
When he was currently facing the ceiling, his eyes shined with a mist but then his gaze shifted toward the brother who was still beside him.
"Sierra?"
Nodding his head, he answered with much softer yet serious in his voice, "Brother… Siera is coming back to go states with her child.. at least that is why I have been told."
"NONSENSE! NO!" Charles imnsely stood from the bed and stared at Javier with unwillingness written all over.
As if, a cold bucket of ice has been poured over his entire body which made him thunderstruck from head to toe.
"Please..please tell... please say this is.. a joke."
"Unfortunately, no.... this isn't' any joke. Siera is returning back."
Receiving a negative answer from Javier too, he felt a sudden squeeze that brought unspeakable sentints in Charles's mind.
Constantly, his heart was hamring against his chest which made him feel dizzy.
With the amount of alcohol consud, he needed a peaceful sleep but sohow, he knew it was enough to keep him awake for a good few days.
"Javier.. this.. can't be true."
Noting his brother's changed behavior and actions, how he answered with the sleepy tone, Javier helped him once again lay on the bed comfortably
Keeping the pillow under his head and bringing the blanket back to cover his body, he lowered the temperature of the air conditioner.
His eyes averted to his brother's figure who is now asleep, due to the lack of energy.
Slow snores can be heard too but weren't as disturbing.
The relaxed expressions on his face showed how much he worked hard to just escape the mories of Siera.
Staring at his face for a few more minutes, he switched the entire lights of the room and closed the curtains to not let the moon's light fall on his brother's face.
With a last glance at the sleeping figure, his thoughts started with only one prayer to God, 'Please keep my brother safe from all the heartbreaks..'
