Aside from the rivers in the east and south, surrounding the Qing Clan, the only noteworthy land feature is the vast fertile land, suitable for cultivation. If one follows the eastern river, they can reach the Hundred-Mile City. Of course, this path won’t directly take you into the Hundred-Mile City, as there are many small villages and towns on the road leading to the city.
The Qing Clan holds absolute authority within a 100 Li radius, and many small sects nearby live by farming or hunting under the protection of the Qing Clan.
Qing Shui left Qing Village, heading west. To the west of the village lies mountains and green forests. In front of him is the Greenwood Forest, where he encountered the golden-haired werewolf. Qing Shui decided to continue climbing west, crossing the West Mountain to reach the Million Li Mountain. He chose this path to train himself, thereby benefiting his cultivation.
Qing Shui, with a small bag on his back, seed unprepared as he left the Qing Clan. He only brought four books, two sets of clean clothes, and so dried provisions. As he walked towards the Western Mountain Area, he continually complained to himself, "The sa old backpack, stupid backpack, where is my storage ring? Damn this dirty backpack!"
The complaints lasted about the ti it takes an incense stick to burn[1]. Qing Shui finally reached deep into the Western Mountains! Qing Shui had a detachable backpack on his back and searched the nearby ground for two pebble-sized stones and equipped them in his hand before choosing a small path up the mountain.
The nearby mountainous area is full of danger. Beasts do not pose a threat to him, but if he encounters beasts of the fierce or desolate rank, it would be a completely different matter. After all, he roams the wilderness, and it would be safer if he were adequately ard.
In this world of 9 provinces, beasts can be divided into 4 different ranks: beasts, fierce beasts, desolate beasts, and demon beasts. The weakest in attack would be classified as beasts. Demon beasts are those that have ford a demon core within them. Their power can be directly inferred from their age, the longer their lifespan, the more terrifying their power level! It is said that even an Innate Cultivator cannot defeat a demon beast of the sa rank! It seems that the golden werewolf Qing Shui encountered was only of the fierce rank.
Qing Shui knew that cultivators only chose a safe and stable life, while tread cultivators would take risks; comparing them with stones is like comparing them with eggs. Those who do not engage in battle will not go far in the long run! That’s why Qing Shui decided to head to the Million Li Mountain! He wanted to gain battle experience, while also training his state of mind and finding an opportunity to break through!
Only in the wilderness do people begin to strive to understand heaven and earth. By contemplating the spiritual aning of the five elents in nature to understand the aning of life!
Each day, besides spending ti learning ancient enhancent techniques, Qing Shui would also briefly study the contents of the four books he carried with him. Presently, the only book he was fully imrsed in understanding was the "[Continental dical Annal]." Qing Shui couldn’t help but fuss, finding the knowledge of the ancients at least on par with, and even considered superior to, modern dicine in his previous world!
It is said that excellent martial artists would also be half dical scholars. A good martial artist should possess dical knowledge related to injuries and wounds, as well as the human body’s ridians and acupoints. Qing Shui continued reading and was not surprised to find that the facts recorded in the book actually aligned with the information he unraveled with "ancient enhancent techniques."

It was only when Qing Shui reached the foot of the Million Li Mountain that he truly understood the aning of the word "spacious." In his line of sight, mountains and peaks towered majestically all around, seemingly endless.
"Xuuuu" At this mont, a mountain breeze began to rise, lightly blowing across Qing Shui. Since it was sumr, the gentle mountain breeze was a welco change to relieve the sumr sun. Qing Shui began to execute Ghost Steps across the mountain path! He hoped to cultivate it to the extent that each step could be unconsciously perford with minimal intensity.
A week passed, and during this ti, Qing Shui was completely unaware of how far he had traveled. He only knew he’d climbed five mountains and killed over 300 wild and fierce beasts. Among these 300 beasts, a special fight with an earthbound giant elephant filled him with excitent.
Initially, Qing Shui was nervous facing such an opponent. The Earth Giant Elephant stood 5m high and stretched 15m in length! How would he contend with that? Directly confronting it was pure madness! In terms of strength and size, Qing Shui could not compare, so he had no choice but to retreat temporarily.
Despite the enormous size of the elephant, and its hide possessing the toughness of steel plates, it moved without impedint! The elephant jumped towards Qing Shui at an astonishing speed, its muscles flowed in perfect coordination and harmony, causing tremors with each step, shaking the ground.
Considering the powers of his opponent and himself, Qing Shui knew he currently lacked the capability to harm this fierce beast. To achieve victory, he would have to use his wits! Qing Shui advanced using Ghostly Steps as cover, leading the Earth Giant Elephant in a series of wilderness dances, and then strategically luring it near a cliff. Relying on his agility and nimbleness, Qing Shui executed Ghostly Steps to dodge the unleashed killing strike. Monts later, he appeared behind the elephant and with full burst power, aid his fist at one of the elephant’s massive hind legs, successfully pushing the elephant off the cliff.
"Kacha〜" The elephant beast fell violently, a scream of fury and pain erupted, the sound of bones breaking resounded!
Gazing at the enormous corpse at the base of the mountain, Qing Shui stared at his hands dazedly, for despite his power of 13,000 jin, he still exerted all his effort to deliver the fatal blow. His heart was filled with signs of savage victory, and a smile erged on his face. This is what it feels like to be the ruler of the wilderness. By employing his strength and wisdom, he had crushed the Earth Giant Elephant into fragnts, beyond recognition!
This round made Qing Shui even more appreciative of the ancient enhancent techniques...If he cultivated using conventional thods, compared to ancient enhancent techniques, the power gained from them would be pale, and his defeat would be undoubtedly certain. The ancient enhancent technique is undoubtedly the most powerful enhancent technique, and when cultivated to its peak, his body refinent can even rival that of the gods and demons!
Despite his satisfaction with the victory, a more pressing issue lay before him. Qing Shui had run out of drinking water! In the past three days, he had not encountered any water source or beasts either.
"Damn, I’m in trouble. Without a water source, naturally, there won’t be any beasts around, no wonder I haven’t had any other encounters in the past three days." Qing Shui moistened his lips with saliva, furrowing his brows. Suddenly, a massive shadow covered the sunlight. "Hmm?" Qing Shui was surprised as he looked up, after which his expression drastically changed for the worse. The gigantic shadow enlarged rapidly towards him, shading the sun and sky. The wind power generated by the flapping of its gigantic wings was so formidable that even huge rocks weighing several hundred jin on the nearby ground rolled chaotically, as if they had lost gravity.
Qing Shui imdiately guided his Inner Qi to his feet, rooting himself to the ground. The stone hidden in his right hand also brought Qi from the ancient enhancent techniques to the edge.
Qing Shui lightly flicked the stone towards the enormous body of the flying beast, and at the sa mont, executed Ghost Steps, quickly retreating a distance.
Qing Shui aid for the heart of the flying beast. He knew that using a small stone as a weapon, he couldn’t cause enormous damage to the beast. At most, he could only slightly harm it. The only remaining solution was to target a critical weak spot.
"X!" The stone made a terrifying sound as it soared through the air; its speed was so fast, it nearly broke the sound barrier.
"eEeeEKK!" A sharp cry echoed as the enormous creature retreated back into the sky, undisguised hints of humiliation and anger perating its cry.
Qing Shui knew he missed the beast’s heart, but seeing the blood flow like a fountain, he at least knew he had inflicted a wound.
Currently, it took Qing Shui so ti to find the soaring beast in the sky, which had withdrawn to a safe distance. Upon close observation, Qing Shui was always amazed! This bird’s wingspan was about 30-40m wide. Its head resembled that of an eagle and vulture. Its entire body was covered with jet black feathers, with only a small patch of white on its head.
