Hearing his voice, Bai Xiashuang slowly opened her eyes. When she could see his face, tears coursed down her cheeks uncontrollably. She said, choking, “Darling, you are finally here. I, I thought I couldn’t see you again.”

Lu Li patted her hand gently and said with determination, “Shuang-er, trust , I will kill all of the people who had hurt you to avenge you.”

Bai Xiashuang put her hands around his waist. She could not stop crying. Lu Li comforted her until she fell asleep out of weakness.
After she was soundly asleep, Lu Li ca out. He had let the young lady and the two maids go back in and wait on her. Looking at the two Earth Immortal Realm soul slaves, he said coldly, “Tell . What happened?”
Both were Earth Immortal Realm warriors from the Feng Family of the Mage Imperial Universe. An old man with grey hair answered, “Young Master, we were going to the mine but surprisingly, there was an illusion formation. As soon as we approached the mine, the formation was activated. Lu Li took the central seat. He showed no emotion. He did not tell Lu Fengyun to get up. Instead, he said angrily, “Lu Fengyun, why have you disobeyed my sister? You led the troop into the depth with no back-up. Why did you not send scouts to check for formations?”
