This calculation quickly clarified the ins and outs: the whole matter was still No-Life Old Mother targeting the Queen Mother. First, it was to prove that the Turquoise Pool Queen Mother was just her avatar; second, it was to sway more believers with the idea that if you worship the Old Mother, she can arrange for you to marry a fairy!
To destitute young n, this was an unparalleled temptation!
So she orchestrated this grand drama, but at the last Turquoise Pool gathering, it was evident the Queen Mother knew Little Seven Fairy still harbored mortal desires—so she had already set preventive asures in place with Nezha over at Tushan.
Falling in love was fine, but it had to go through approval!
At the ti, the Queen Mother didn’t do much other than removing all the filters Niu Lang had on him, letting the Weaver see the truest version of Niu Lang. The result was that now she’s so frightened she doesn’t even dare step outside.
The widespread retelling of the Niu Lang and Weaver story, of course, couldn’t have happened without the White Lotus Sect’s vigorous promotion. All one could say was that No-Life Old Mother really bore grudges; she was determined to fight the Queen Mother to the bitter end.
"Co on, let’s go see Little Qi."
Long Ji happily followed; as long as she could be with Nezha, she didn’t care where they went.
After arriving at the Turquoise Pool, Nezha first paid his respects to the elders. The Queen Mother was much the sa as always; fifteen years to her was no different than fifteen days.
She glanced twice at Nezha and felt, "Hmm?"
After a second look, she noticed he had already beco a Daluo Golden Immortal. At this level of cultivation, he was considered top-tier in the Primordial realm; even Guang Chengzi of the Chan Sect’s early days only had this level of attainnt.
She couldn’t help but think of earlier rumors that Nezha was a reincarnation of so ancient Great Expert. But when she used to guard the gates of Zixiao Palace, she had never seen him there?
Though puzzling internally, she didn’t let any of it show outwardly. After exchanging a few pleasantries with Nezha and confirming that his foundation was solid, her mind was set at ease. Whoever he might have been in the past, he was now her son-in-law.
After a few more exchanges, Nezha asked about the Weaver. The Queen Mother didn’t seem too concerned and casually remarked, "Little Qi still harbors mortal desires. This incident provides her an opportunity to temper herself—better that than fixating on all that love nonsense. Compared to the carefree life we enjoy now, what is that worth?
Still, that old hag is increasingly pushing her luck. Her previous arrangents should be just about complete."
Nezha seriously agreed and understood the Queen Mother’s intentions. After he expressed his purpose, the Queen Mother showed so interest.
"Is Senior Sister planning to take on disciples? The Seven Fairies have been idling in the Turquoise Pool lately. Perhaps they could undergo so training as well?"
Nezha dared not make decisions on his teacher’s behalf when it ca to accepting disciples, so he consulted with Nuwa. Nuwa didn’t mind; since she wouldn’t be the one teaching them anyway, and they’d only be auditing students, it wasn’t a big deal.
"I’ve asked my teacher already. If the Goddess agrees, they can go audit for a while."
The Queen Mother was delighted; the Seven Fairies being publicly affiliated with her ant their accomplishnts also reflected on her. If they gained so skills, it would boost her reputation. Moreover, staying at Lishan ant No-Life Old Mother wouldn’t dare lay a finger on them again.
She waved her hand broadly and declared, "I’ll cover the fabric for the Lishan Academy uniforms!"
"Feiqiong, take the Emperor and Long Ji to the internal treasury to select the materials."
"Yes."
Nezha enjoyed dealing with forthright people like this. After bidding farewell to the Queen Mother, he followed Xu Feiqiong to the Turquoise Pool’s private vaults. Though not a bumpkin, Nezha was still left wide-eyed.
The place was filled with all kinds of silk, jewels, immortal-weave fabrics, and countless accessories—a female immortal’s paradise, in short.
Xu Feiqiong led the two to the fabric section and introduced everything one by one: "Emperor, this batch is woven from light of the Sun Star, crafted by the Third Princess herself."
"This one is woven from Ten-thousand-year-old Cold Mist from the North State. It provides heat resistance and immunity against ice and water-based spells."
"And this one is woven from the first ray of sunlight at dawn each day, crafted by the hands of the Seven Princess—the most skilled artisan among them."
...
As Xu Feiqiong showcased fabrics as though reciting treasured verses, Nezha was nearly overwheld. Long Ji, far less interested in clothing than collecting flying swords, was also struggling to keep up.
Faced with the endless inventory, Nezha hurriedly called a halt and explained his needs to Xu Feiqiong. As a close attendant of the Queen Mother, Xu Feiqiong’s abilities were indeed exceptional.
Soon, she categorized the fabrics into three grades: high-grade, mid-grade, and low-grade. The high-grade materials were too exquisite; turning them into uniforms would make them heirloom treasures and appear greedy—so they were ruled out.
The low-grade choices were actually excellent but might make it seem like he was too easily satisfied—also ruled out.
Eventually, Nezha selected fabrics in three colors—white, blue, and purple—from the mid-grade category. Auditors would wear white, Outer Disciples blue, and Inner Sect mbers purple. It was akin to a card ga hierarchy—it just made sense.
Once the materials were chosen, Xu Feiqiong bowed and left to report back to the Queen Mother. Nezha, anwhile, escorted Long Ji to the Weaver’s palace, where the Seven Fairies, knowing about the Queen Mother’s arrangent, had already gathered.
"Hello, Brother-in-law!" *7
As soon as Nezha and Long Ji arrived, the Seven Fairies greeted him with playful teasing.
Nezha was thick-skinned, but Long Ji clearly wasn’t, blushing as she went forward to silence them. After so playful scuffles among the sisters, they cald down.
Their work began as they followed Nezha’s specifications for crafting the Lishan Academy uniforms, modeled after a ruqun design. Certain details were added, such as cuff embroidery representing simplified depictions of Lishan to signify identity.
Though not deeply familiar with Nezha, the Seven Fairies weren’t strangers either. They had decent relationships with Long Ji, their eldest sister, and seeing Nezha’s affable nature, they quickly relaxed.
As they worked, they gossiped with Nezha about Niu Lang—especially Little Seven Weaver.
"Brother-in-law, let tell you—at that ti, that Niu Lang was clutching my clothes, shouting for to marry him. I was stunned, and he slled entirely like cow dung. When I got the clothes back, I imdiately burned them."
Their eldest sister, Hong’er, was slightly more composed and voiced concerns: "Brother-in-law, Zi’er is the most obedient here with us. How could soone have sched against her for no reason?"
Nezha did not elaborate on the details and instead offered a subtle hint: "Do you recall that white-robed female immortal who attended your last gathering? This matter has so links to her."
The Seven Fairies rembered well. In their understanding, apart from Saint Queen Mother, the most powerful female immortal was the Supre Mother. Although she had been defeated, the re fact she escaped intact spoke volus of her prowess.
Nezha, seeing their worried expressions, quickly reassured them: "No worries. The Goddess has agreed to send you to Lishan for training. By the ti you graduate, this matter will have surely blown over."
With this assurance, the Fairies finally set their worries aside. Diligent in their craft, they created the attire as Nezha refined the finished pieces, adding various functionalities. The final products were high-quality Magical Treasures.
The purple uniforms took slightly more effort since they were modeled after the Purple Ribbon Immortal Robe, with the others gradually decreasing in quality.
After half a month, all the uniforms were completed. After bidding farewell to Long Ji, Nezha brought the Seven Fairies back to Lishan, where Shi Ji was already leading a construction crew to build the Academy.
Nezha scanned the site with his Divine Sense and assessed his disciples’ learning progress. The fastest learners were Hecate and Nyx, followed by Athena, Artemis, and Hestia, with Hebe lagging behind.
It wasn’t that Hebe wasn’t trying; in Primordial terms, her comprehension was simply inferior to the first four.
Artemis studied while also bringing Apollo along. The Daoist Heavenly Book curriculum was such that females undeniably had a significant advantage in learning it.
Few males had the patience to sit and study properly; so even ran off to watch the Heavenly Court’s construction crew build houses.
Nezha refrained from disturbing the others and instead summoned the five disciples personally selected by Lishan Old Mother, along with Nyx. In unfamiliar environnts, people tend to feel anxious, and seeing Nezha, a familiar face, brightened their spirits considerably.
