Upon entering the grand hall, Lady Nuwa sat solemnly on the cloud bed, her expression dignified. Nezha felt that no words could better describe perfection than those used to depict his teacher.
"Disciple Nezha pays respects to the teacher."
Their bond had grown closer, so such formalities were no longer necessary as before.
Nuwa nodded slightly.
"Are you aware of Hao Tian’s plea for aid?"
Nezha nodded. During the preparation phase, he had already heard Long Ji and the others discussing it. He also heard about Randeng’s escape and how Huang Long had chased him into the Chaos.
Nezha was honestly more shocked by Huang Long’s story than Hao Tian’s plea. In the Primordial realm, there were very few Immortals with such high moral standards.
Things like ’sacrificing one’s entire family for Cultivation’ were far too common.
Such was the barbarism of the Primordial tis.
"Teacher, do I need to go too?"
"As long as you still recognize the Daoist Ancestor as your grandmaster, you must go."
After speaking, Lady Nuwa made a beckoning motion, and shattered fragnts of the River Map and Luo Book, along with the Chaos Bell, flew out from Nezha’s sleeve into her hand. She then pointed her finger, and countless streams of information began intertwining around the Chaos Bell.
Truthfully, while Fu Xi was reputed to be the foremost diviner in the Primordial realm, this excluded the Saints. Without invoking their authority, no Saint’s divination could necessarily outclass Fu Xi’s.
Previously, Nuwa had kept visiting Fire Cloud Cave to have Fu Xi’s assistance. One reason was to see her older brother; the other was to preserve his dignity.
Otherwise, if she used the River Map and Luo Book herself, her calculations would be both faster and more accurate than his.
When it ca to matters within the Primordial realm, Nuwa typically didn’t bother with divination. Not only because she possessed the authority of a Saint, but also because the Primordial realm was orderly.
Chaos, being disorderly outside of the Primordial realm, required terrifying levels of deduction and computation to arrive at even a vague answer.
It took a full five breaths before Nuwa opened her eyes.
"That should do it."
...
The last ti Nezha ventured into Chaos to seek the Taiyi Dao Palace, Nuwa had appeared unconcerned, but her real body had secretly followed him for a ti. This ti, with the master-disciple pair harboring secrets and under the watchful eyes of other Saints, she could no longer make another trip with him.
Thus, full preparation was indispensable. Apart from the original Mountain and River Map, Qiankun Cauldron, and Golden Gourd (Evil Summoning Banner), she also gifted Nezha the Demon Refining Pot, Infinite Umbrella, Heavenly Stabilizing Hairpin, and Seven Stars Moon Retaining Whip.
Additionally, the box of low-grade Innate Treasures once used to arm Qingluan was entirely poured into the Golden Gourd.
In truth, Nezha didn’t need so many Magical Treasures. For offense, he had the God Slaying Spear, Sun-shooting Bow, Xuanyuan Sword, Mountain Opening Axe, Destroying Immortal Sword, and Sun and Moon Golden Wheel. For defense, he had the Twelve-Grade Karma Fire Red Lotus and the Western Pure Cloud Realm Flag sponsored by his mother-in-law, along with nurous unnad Magical Treasures.
As for functional treasures, there were even more—Ling Jiu Palace Lantern, Treasure Copper Coin, and many others.
Simply put, if he were not ard to the teeth, it would be an insult to Nezha!
He figured that if he perished in Chaos, it would surely cause a massive loss of fixed assets for the Primordial realm.
After bidding farewell to his teacher, Nezha chose not to use the Chaos Pearl this ti. Instead, he boarded the Taiyi Dao Palace. With so many people heading from the Primordial realm, a collision with soone else would be troubleso.
The Taiyi Dao Palace was a well-equipped vessel. It ca with a built-in conversion function for Chaotic Spiritual Energy, allowing Nezha to cultivate. Its innate Great Sun Golden Fla could continuously repair the damage caused by Chaos. All in all, it was an excellent mode of transportation.
As for where to find Hao Tian, he had no idea.
The thing Nezha lacked most was ti, yet Chaos had an abundance of it. Regardless of how long Nezha cultivated in Chaos, the Saints could pull him back into the Primordial realm at the exact sa mont he had left.
So even if Nuwa hadn’t asked him, Nezha would still have co.
No one can stop from saving my dear father-in-law! (And finding the Chaos Bell along the way!)
Then, Nezha activated the Taiyi Dao Palace’s free-floating mode and resud his secluded cultivation. As his cultivation level continued to climb, his Divine Skills, Spells, and others needed further refinent.
Standing at different heights allows one to see more.
Ti in Chaos flowed unpredictably, but Taiyi Dao Palace, as a product of the Primordial era, was governed by the Five Elents Yin Yang Law in its perfect form, so its sense of ti remained relatively normal.
In the fifty-so years that passed within the Dao Palace, the Mountain and River Map beside Nezha suddenly activated and unfurled, and a hazy figure of Lady Nuwa erged from within.
"Teacher, is there news about the Chaos Bell?"
"Roughly nearby. Let’s set out imdiately."
Nezha nodded, stowed away the Taiyi Dao Palace, and allowed Nuwa’s incarnation to carry him as they rushed into the Chaos.
Hmm, hiding inside the Dao Palace was entirely different from directly confronting Chaos. Back in the Primordial realm, everything had seed fine, but now there was a peculiar feeling of complete liberation.
It was common knowledge that Immortals in the Primordial realm were subject to suppression. For those below the Quasi-Saint Realm, this wasn’t even worth ntioning. Yet in the Quasi-Saint Realm, their strength in the Primordial realm was limited to just a fraction of its full potential, and even then, the Heavenly Dao constantly monitored them, fearing any disturbances.
"Teacher, why do I only feel that my usual power has increased dramatically, but when I invoke the Twelve Duterrestrial Gods Evil Formation, its might doesn’t seem to scale exponentially?"
Despite this incarnation of Nuwa holding only thirty percent of her true mana, she moved effortlessly in Chaos and, being far from the Primordial realm, felt far fewer constraints.
At this mont, she began explaining many sensitive matters to Nezha.
"The Primordial realm is order born from the extre evolution of chaotic Chaos. Hence, Chaos gave rise to Pangu God. When Pangu perford the Heavenly Creation, though his body transford into all things, his level of authority was higher than that of the Daoist Ancestor and Heavenly Dao. Thus, your Twelve Duterrestrial Gods Evil Formation faces minimal restrictions from the Daoist Ancestor’s rules."
"As for the governance of the Primordial realm, you can think of it as Pangu being greater than the Daoist Ancestor, who in turn is greater than the Heavenly Dao and the Six Saints. How far the Daoist Ancestor has progressed past the Chaos Origin level, even I and the other Five Saints cannot estimate. Similarly, how he compares to Pangu remains uncertain, although it seems he still falls sowhat short."
Nezha nodded in understanding. A sumr insect cannot discuss ice. He wouldn’t even dare to attempt describing how powerful his teacher truly was.
Ti and space had no clear reference points in Chaos, so Nezha had no idea how long Nuwa had been carrying him when she finally halted.
In the distance, an endless vortex of black and silver spun relentlessly, devouring everything around it.
"If my deductions are correct, the Chaos Bell has already been consud by this Chaos Mother Cave."
"Teacher, is this thing alive?"
Nezha scrutinized it from all angles, feeling that this entity, resembling a nebula, seed closer to a ’phenonon’ than a living creature.
Nuwa shook her head. "Your cultivation is still shallow, and your understanding of Chaos remains superficial. Life and death in Chaos are no longer as distinct as in the Primordial realm. This thing before us might be the corpse of so Chaos Creature from ages past. The original creature perished, but its body continues to exist, devouring other Chaos beings to strengthen itself, hoping it may eventually grasp so Great Dao to evolve into a new Chaos Demon God."
After speaking, she waved her hand, and a giant sword radiating seven-colored brilliance appeared in her grasp. The sword’s tip pointed directly at the vortex.
"Hand over the Chaos Bell!"
