The birth of the Demon Buddha truly disgusted the Western Two Saints. Whatever wicked deeds it carried out, it always tied back to the Western Sect. Moreover, so many disciples of the Western Sect had fallen into corruption.

They were inevitably bound to share the imnse karmic consequences of attacking the Heavenly Court.

At this mont, in the Western Spirit Mountain, the two Saints—Jieyin and Zhunti—were seated by the Eight Treasures rit Pool. One sat with closed eyes, cultivating, while the other held a bamboo rod teasing a turtle in the pool.

"Senior brother, it seems we can’t wait any longer."

Jieyin actually didn’t care much about the matter of the Demon Buddha or the debts owed to the Heavenly Dao. Slow repaynt was fine by him—repay bit by bit, eventually it should be paid in full.

However, he respected his junior brother’s decision.

"Junior brother, do as you wish; as brothers, we advance and retreat together."

Jieyin wore a faint smile.

At present, the Western Sect was too deeply entangled with the Demon Dao. The only solution was to completely sever ties with the Mystic Sect.

To establish a new sect, one that directly countered the Demon Dao and corresponded with Buddhism instead. This, in a subtle way, was also the intention of the Daoist Ancestor.

As for what type of sect to establish, they had already gained so insight—that it would be Buddhism.

No great undertaking can be rushed impulsively, and this applies even to Saints.

Saint Zhunti abandoned his seclusion and began calculating the details of establishing Buddhism, while his subordinates started frequent communication with so Great Experts of the Primordial era.

The Primordial world was uncharacteristically quiet for a ti.

Without wars, the Tang Dynasty in the Mortal World began developing rapidly.

In the triangle region of Nanchang and Qinyang, after thirty years of growth under Nantang, the resources were abundant. Coupled with the labor provided by high-level cultivators, Divine Land soon restored its prosperity within a matter of years.

As ti passed, the new pillars of Great Tang shifted to the next generation. The elders, represented by Nezha’s two brothers-in-law Deng Xiu and Su Quanzhong, alongside Bo Yikao, led the older generation.

The mid-generation was represented by mbers of the Huang Family—Huang Tianlu and Huang Tianxiang.

The rising stars of the younger generation were led by Jiang Ming.

From his youth, Jiang Ming had been a protégé under Jiang Ziya, who hoped he would excel in cultivation. But perhaps due to overly strict upbringing or his deep admiration for his father, he ultimately chose the path of governance.

Old Jiang trembled with frustration, but there was nothing he could do. Youth always cos with rebellion.

anwhile, the Tang Imperial Family remained under the Li Family. However, few of the main lineage of the Li Family stayed in the Mortal World.

Lady Yin had already achieved the rank of Earth Immortal and remained in the Mortal World primarily due to Old Li’s presence.

Jinzha and Muzha had returned to their master to focus on cultivation.

King Ji and Deng Chanyu had to cover themselves with heavy curtains during outings. Despite being forty years old, they still appeared as eighteen-year-olds, which was inappropriate.

Old Li resided in Qinyang. Having sent a group of his old brothers to the heavens, his current subordinates were largely descendants of these old comrades.

As the world gradually stabilizes, Old Li began contemplating whether it was ti to relinquish power and enjoy his retirent.

On this particular day, Old Li perford his daily ritual of paying homage to the Linglong Pagoda. After waiting quietly for a mont, he stood to leave, when the pagoda suddenly emitted a gentle golden light enveloping Li Jing.

Monts later, when Li Jing ca to his senses, he found himself bewildered.

He had received guidance from his ancestral teacher, but the instructions were absurdly peculiar.

...

In the blink of an eye, ten years passed.

The Sealing God Tribulation lasted a re thirty-odd years—an exceptionally brief period for immortals.

On this day, dazzling golden light burst forth from the West, golden lotuses rained down, and Buddhist chants echoed in reverence.

The voice speaking out belonged to Zhunti. He proclaid that all matters have their destined course. Once, they made a great vow to attain sainthood; today, they must bear the grand karma of resisting the Demon Dao.

The flourishing of the Western Sect had been predetermined before they beca Saints. Back then, Zhunti road the East, recruiting disciples and scraping resources, as long as he didn’t provoke the Three Pure Ones, he was seldom interfered with.

This endeavor ca with significant costs, and now was the ti for the brothers to step forward.

Since the appearance of the Demon Buddha, the violent tendencies within the hearts of Primordial beings had been on the rise. Such phenona were not sothing that Nezha, as the Deity of the Sun, could suppress.

He could only dispel external disturbances, but was powerless to prevent the spread of dark thoughts within the Holy Spirit’s heart.

At this mont, the Jieyin Saint continued to pray to the Heavenly Dao with a weary expression.

"Primordial beings, heed my words. Now that I see all beings in suffering, their spirit platforms clouded and their true hearts obscured... Today, I vow to attain Supre Bodhi Fruit. When I beco a Buddha, in all ten directions of the world, may all beings who are born in my domain possess true golden bodies of purple polish and the thirty-two majestic features. Pure and flawless, resembling one another. If there remain differences in appearance, or beauty and ugliness, I will not attain enlightennt... When I beco a Buddha, may my boundless light illuminate all realms, surpassing the brightness of the sun and moon by thousands upon millions of folds. If any beings see my light and feel it touch their bodies, they shall not fail to experience peace and joy, develop compassion, and act virtuously, ultimately arriving in my domain. If they do not, I will not attain enlightennt."

Jieyin Saint recited his grand vow at length, finally concluding with:

"Henceforth, I establish the Buddhist doctrine and Buddhism itself. I shall be known as the Jieyin Buddha."

After Jieyin concluded, Saint Zhunti imdiately followed suit, reciting an extensive declaration before concluding: "I respectfully follow the Buddha Amitabha. From this day forward, I shall be known as Zhunti Buddha Mother."

The sect’s keystone treasure was already prepared—it was the Twelve-Grade rit Golden Lotus.

Subsequently, the disciples of the Saints, including Dashizhi, the Pharmacist, Maitreya, Ksitigarbha, and others, began their prayers and declarations.

The Pharmacist and Maitreya achieved Buddhahood on the spot, while Ksitigarbha and Dashizhi attained Great Bodhisattva positions.

Other disciples with high cultivation levels gained the rank of Bodhisattva, while those with lower cultivation levels were relegated to Arhat status.

Apart from disciples of the Western Sect, ssengers sent by Zhunti Saint over the years reached various cultivators, with so agreeing and others refusing.

Among the notable departures were mbers of the Rashamon Clan from the Blood Sea, the Dragon Clan, and even the Demon Clan.

Regarding Great Experts with distinguished nas, the first to join was Lu Ya.

Lu Ya, having long wandered in the West, imdiately gained the position of Great Sun Tathagata Buddha, officially joining the Western Sect in repaying its debts.

Nezha’s older brother Zhen Yuanzi had also been invited but declined.

In truth, most immortals of the Primordial era rejected the invitation, as everyone knew the West was impoverished.

Regardless, Buddhism was founded in such a hasty manner.

The significance of this event was profound. The Demon Dao, which had always directly countered the Mystic Sect, was finally severed by the Daoist Ancestor through these two registered disciples. While the division might not be entirely thorough, it was far better than before.

Jieyin and Zhunti’s Buddhism beca the frontline defense against the Demon Dao.

Though Buddhism was established, it ca with a mountain of issues.

The teacher-disciple relationship within Buddhism differed from that in the East. It was more akin to public lectures—you could attend if you wanted, or opt-out—thus, despite calling each other senior and junior brothers, actual emotional bonds were weak.

The personnel within the Western Sect had beco excessively complicated, and conflicts began to escalate sharply!

The West was already poor; previously, resources barely sufficed for the disciples of the Western Sect. With the sudden influx of newcors, how could cultivation even continue?

The Rashamon Clan from the Blood Sea were far from easy to deal with. At their core, they remained Asuras, fighters by nature who, upon encountering good treasures, simply snatched them away. What’s the issue? You don’t want to give? Oh, so you look down upon Primordial Female Immortals? We’re just borrowing so of your stuff—why so stingy?

Truly disgraceful!
