Taiyi pondered back and forth, weighing his resources. As the founder of the Qingwei Sect, he was indeed wealthy, but most of that wealth was tied up in fixed assets, which he couldn’t just liquidate willy-nilly.

Finally, looking at Lei Zhenzi’s pleading gaze, he shouted internally, "Max out the configuration! Just max it out for !"

There was no choice but to let the Qingwei Sect’s followers endure so hardship once again!

After asking Taiyi Zhenren and Lei Zhenzi about their requirents, Nezha got to work. Having perused his master’s ’Study Notes,’ he wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with the Way of Creation. Though he hadn’t fully mastered it yet, he didn’t need to craft Lei Zhenzi’s body entirely from scratch.

While Nezha was highly skilled in artifact refining and alchemy, this would be his first ti refining a body.

First, he used the Tears of Ten Thousand Spirits to put Lei Zhenzi into a deep sleep and then began the procedure.

Yun Zhongzi acted as an assistant to help out during the process.

The first step was constructing the body. Nezha took a lotus seed from a Ninth-Grade Pure World White Lotus, supplented it with so Three Lights Divine Water as auxiliary materials, and placed them into the Qiankun Cauldron for refinent. Once the mixture reached an ideal state of fusion, Taiyi Zhenren began shaping the body.

Nezha severed the molted wings of the Feathered Immortal and sewed them onto the body. He refined it for several additional days so the wings would fully integrate with the flesh.

Finally, he embedded a sharp eagle eye from the Feathered Immortal onto Lei Zhenzi’s forehead, stitching the head and body together with threads made from White Lotus fiber. With this, Lei Zhenzi’s new body was fully completed.

Next ca the slow simr process, which took forty-nine days in total. And just like that, the newly upgraded version of Lei Zhenzi was unveiled fresh out of the cauldron!

In his previous lotus-form incarnation, Lei Zhenzi appeared youthful, almost child-like. Now, in his reconstructed form, he looked like a young adult. Master Taiyi’s craftsmanship was superb; Lei Zhenzi stood tall and upright, with a handso and distinguished face that radiated charisma. However, the two bald wings on his back slightly detracted from his image.

That being said, they would grow back over ti, though they would never match the original wings of the Feathered Immortal.

Oh, and there was also one minor issue: Lei Zhenzi seed to have lost his gender...

Lei Zhenzi wobbled as he climbed out of the Qiankun Cauldron, then knelt down and bowed deeply to Taiyi Zhenren. "Disciple Lei Zhenzi offers my profound gratitude to Master for granting new life!"

Taiyi Zhenren scrutinized Lei Zhenzi from head to toe, becoming more satisfied the longer he looked. Not only had this ordeal avoided causing a significant drop in Lei Zhenzi’s cultivation, but once he beca attuned to his new body, his cultivation recovery would accelerate. Additionally, with the new eagle wings and eye of the Golden Winged Great Peng, his combat prowess wasn’t just intact—it had skyrocketed.

Of course, it ca at the cost of Taiyi Zhenren’s wallet.

The financial pain was real, but for the sake of his disciple, it was all worth it!

Having fulfilled his mission, Taiyi Zhenren watched as Yun Zhongzi returned the latest-model Immortal Armor to Lei Zhenzi, after which Taiyi Zhenren departed for West Zhou with Yang Ren and Lei Zhenzi.

Yun Zhongzi, having passed through his tribulation, no longer felt the need to rush back to a place he didn’t care for anyway. Instead, he seized the opportunity to rope Nezha into helping him complete an academic project.

Nezha answered Yun Zhongzi’s questions in detail, even borrowing terminology from a certain ani protagonist’s imperial arms when explaining things in Primordial terms. Yun Zhongzi was dazzled, his eyes practically glowing.

"A living armor?"

"What if the armor could self-repair, possess self-awareness, assist its owner in battle, and—on top of everything—cultivate itself? The implications are simply mind-blowing!"

Yun Zhongzi wasn’t forcing Nezha to research with him; he just wanted Nezha to provide him with so bold, unorthodox ideas. Thus, he settled down in Nanchang. While Nezha occasionally joined him in studying artifact refining and armor refinent, most of his ti was devoted to restoring his cultivation. He would also occasionally ’advise’ Daji and Deng Chanyu on their cultivation journeys.

The land was replete with Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, and Nezha wasn’t particularly picky about his surroundings given his current middling cultivation level. Of course, finding an Immortal Blessed Land was always preferable.

The Nantang region basked in tranquil prosperity.

The West Zhou region, however, was embroiled in fiery combat.

First was the diminutive giant Wu Wenhua. As his na implied, he wasn’t exactly literate and had clearly dumped all his skill points into physical constitution and strength, leaving nothing for intelligence.

Previously, West Zhou had avoided confronting him in battle, which led to him taking his colossal sledgehamr—over dozens of ters long—and pounding away at West Zhou’s city walls. This terrified King Wu and Ji Fa to no end; after all, if you were breaking through my city walls, it was tantamount to taking my life!

Ji Fa sent troops to intercept him, but it always ended the sa way: wave after wave got wiped out.

Nevertheless, Wu Wenhua was just an ordinary man. He still needed to eat and sleep.

This led to a farcical situation: by day, Wu Wenhua would demolish the wall, while by night, Ji Fa would hastily rebuild it.

The battle for the city walls turned into a protracted tug-of-war.

Strategies ranged from ambushes to digging traps, setting fires, and catapulting giant boulders—both sides sparing no effort to disrupt the other’s plans.

The military commanders on both sides ended up looking utterly disheveled, covered in dust and soot, as if they had just returned from a coal mine. It was an amusing sight.

Still, West Zhou was clearly at a disadvantage. With one section of the city wall on the verge of being breached by Wu Wenhua, the critical mont arrived: Master Huang Long appeared in the nick of ti to hold him off.

No matter how strong Wu Wenhua’s physical constitution was, he couldn’t surpass a being like Master Huang Long, whose true form belonged to the Dragon Clan—especially after undergoing rigorous military training with the Asura Clan.

Now, not only was Huang Long highly resilient and tanky, but his martial arts were also astounding. Wielding a treasure sword, he easily suppressed five enemy generals at once. If it weren’t for his concern about incurring karmic consequences, he would’ve already sent them straight to the rankings of the dead.

Wei Hu, seeing that Uncle Huang Long had arrived, stopped slacking off as blatantly. Whereas before, he could barely hold his own against Ma Zhong, he now seed totally at ease handling both Ma Zhong and Xu Fang, as well as Long Anji.

When Master Taiyi finally arrived on the battlefield with Yang Ren and Lei Zhenzi, the tide of battle completely shifted.

Lei Zhenzi still needed ti to restore his cultivation and adjust to his new body, so he didn’t participate in the initial skirmishes. Yang Ren, however, was a whole different story. With his already broken mind, he believed that the Shang Army were Netherworld Demons in disguise, and thus he showed no hesitation in slaughtering them rcilessly.

On the first day, red beams of light shot from his eyes, mowing down enemies like crops in a harvest.

Among the four Shang generals—Deng, Tao, Xin, and Zhang—Tao Rong imdiately stepped forward to face Yang Ren in combat.

Though Tao Rong was a bandit by origin and lacked cultivation prowess, his martial skills were exceptional. He also possessed a Magical Treasure called the Gathering Wind Banner, which he had stumbled upon in his early years. When waved, the banner summoned fierce gales of sand and stone, filling the sky with swirling debris and creating an oppressive darkness.

But just from the na of the treasure, one could tell it wasn’t particularly fearso. And in practice, it indeed lived up to its lackluster na.

Tao Rong waved the Gathering Wind Banner, and black cyclones surged toward Yang Ren.

Yang Ren shouted, "Armor Warrior, fusion activate!"

Fire burst from beneath his feet as he charged headlong into the gusting black wind created by the banner.

Tao Rong, believing Yang Ren had been caught by the storm, couldn’t contain his glee—until a burst of light pierced through the cyclones. Twin red beams glared straight at him, and in the next instant, the light flared and he knew nothing more.

"Fourth Brother!"

"Old Tao!"

"Fourth!"

With Tao Rong’s death, the Gathering Wind Banner lost its power. The black winds dissipated, revealing Yang Ren within, clad in Purple Ribbon Immortal Armor with blazing crimson eyes.

The remaining three generals imdiately moved to avenge Tao Rong.

Yang Ren, unfazed, swept his glowing red eyes over them. Their mounts wailed in anguish as the heat from his gaze lted their joints, rendering them immobile.

While the three generals, being highly skilled, sustained no injuries themselves, they found themselves temporarily shaken and unwilling to advance further.
