Nezha first checked his physical condition; as expected, his mana was completely gone, and his Dao Qi had lost its effect. He stood up and glanced at the half-body mirror on the wall. In the reflection was a lean, pale, ordinary young man.

Nezha picked up the travel bag by his bed and walked towards the door. Outside was a familiar scene: Father Li lounging on the sofa, watching TV.

anwhile, Mother Li was busy in the kitchen.

Father Li glanced at him as he stepped out and casually said, "You brat, don’t tell you really believe there’s gonna be a teor shower tonight? If you still have energy to dream, better find a job quick. You’re not young anymore, and you don’t even have a girlfriend. It’s really worrying."

Despite the bitterness in his heart, Nezha smiled and said, "I’m just going to check it out. If there’s really a teor shower, I’ll wish for a stable and respectable job to make you proud."

Father Li clicked his tongue and said, "Well, eat before you go. If you happen to encounter the teor shower and your wish fails because you were too hungry to make one, don’t co blaming hunger. Don’t rely on a bag of junk food; it won’t fill you up."

After hesitating slightly, Nezha nodded and agreed: "Alright."

Sitting at the family dining table once again, Nezha felt a fleeting sense of nostalgia. After eating, he took the initiative to help in the kitchen with washing the dishes.

Mother Li teased him, "Oh my, our college-educated boy is finally washing dishes himself today."

"Well, I just didn’t want to ss things up for you!"

After helping Mother Li clean up the dishes, Nezha grabbed his backpack again. Mother Li, looking worried, said, "Son, why don’t you just stay ho? There are so many bugs outside at this ti of year, and you’re the one who’s most afraid of bugs."

Nezha didn’t stop. With his bag over his shoulder, he walked away without looking back and said, "I’m just trying to find a job. At ho, you two are practically ready to get rid of ."

He walked down the old hallway to the ground floor and looked up towards the familiar yet strange scene outside.

Suddenly, the third-floor window opened. Mother Li stuck her head out and called down, "Son, what ti are you coming back for dinner tomorrow? If it’s too late, just grab a bite downstairs. Don’t go hungry."

Nezha waved with a smile, "I’m not coming back! So you two can keep on subconsciously insulting !"

Later, he reached the mountain where the teor had struck, set up his tent, and sat waiting for the distant teors.

However, no teors appeared that night. Nezha pulled out his phone and angrily reported the public account that had announced the teor shower, then munched on spicy snacks, sitting idly.

The next day, Nezha didn’t return ho but continued waiting in vain.

On the third day, Father Li ca.

"Brat, you were fooled, weren’t you? Co on, go back with . I asked a friend to help you find a job. The pay’s not much, but it’s not tiring."

"No, I’m going to keep waiting."

Father Li cursed angrily, "Then just wait here till you die!"

Then he turned and left.

That afternoon, Mother Li arrived.

"Son, stop waiting. There won’t be any teors. Co back ho. Even if you don’t want to work, your dad and I will support you. Just don’t do this, okay?"

"No, there will be teors. I’m going to keep waiting."

Mother Li wiped her tears and walked away.

From then on, Father Li and Mother Li ca every day to deliver food to him.

Thirty years passed in the blink of an eye.

Mother Li, now with a full head of white hair and a hunched back, placed the food down and said, "Son, I can’t walk anymore. From now on, I’ll ask your nephew to bring you your als."

"Thanks, Mom."

As she’d said, Nezha’s nephew, whom he still had so impression of, started coming to deliver food. At first, the nephew would try to persuade him, but eventually, all that remained was disdain.

Until one day: "Uncle, sothing terrible has happened. Third Grandpa and Third Aunt are not going to make it. You need to co with to pay your respects."

"I’m waiting for the teor shower."

The nephew stared at Nezha in disbelief and exclaid, "How can you be so heartless!"

After speaking, the nephew turned and descended the mountain, never to return.

Nezha continued waiting. Despite having no food, he was still alive as though he were determined to wait until the end of ti itself. Until, after countless years, a spell of dizziness overtook him.

When he regained consciousness, he was no longer on the mountain where he had stayed for decades but instead found himself on a pitch-black lake. Looking down, the surface of the water reflected a young man with an immortal-like elegance, clean and handso.

In the distance, an inexplicable darkness began surging, forming a strange, blurry shadow.

"Hey, Old Luo, we et again!"

Luo Hou: "..."

Can you at least give demons the respect they deserve?

Luo Hou didn’t respond to Nezha’s greeting but instead asked, "You’ve always longed to return, haven’t you? So why, after going back, would you stubbornly set foot on the road of cultivation again?"

Nezha’s playful grin faded. Without answering Luo Hou’s question, he leaned back, letting his hands, rear, and feet touch the ground, relaxing as he sat.

Then he countered with a question: "Over there, I studied hard for over ten years and still achieved nothing. My parents continued to provide for .

Here, I am Nuwa Lady’s direct disciple among the Six Saints. I am a true god in the Thunder Departnt of the Heavenly Court, a Ghost Emperor registered in the underworld. I’ve got money, status, and won.

If it were you, would you choose to go back to being that useless wretch?"

Luo Hou, despite being reduced to his current state by Hong Jun, continued to struggle, which reflected the sheer determination of his seek-demon heart. Asking him to return as a useless failure—or even as a world’s richest man—was sothing he wouldn’t hesitate to reject.

However, as a demon from countless Yuan Hui, he continued questioning: "The thing you can’t let go of is your family, isn’t it? Across the billions of small worlds, would you really be able to abandon them?"

"The fact that I can’t return only proves my power isn’t strong enough yet. Moving forward gives the opportunity to resolve those regrets.

If I stop, I might truly never see them again.

As long as my power is sufficient, I can accomplish anything."

Luo Hou burst into laughter: "That’s nothing but pure, demonic obsession!"

Nezha did not move an inch. What’s demonic obsession?

It’s nothing but an unwavering Dao-seeking heart!

At this point, the Heart Demon Tribulation was essentially over, but Nezha didn’t awaken imdiately. Since he was already here, he figured he’d chat a bit more.

"Old Luo, look at you now. You used to rival the Daoist Ancestor, but now you can’t even compete with the Six Saints, let alone the Daoist Ancestor’s disciples. Recently, your avatar got slaughtered by a bunch of the Daoist Ancestor’s grand-disciples. And here you are pestering —the youngest of Daoist Ancestor’s grand-disciples. How embarrassing is that?"

Luo Hou: "..."

The already-dimming Demon Shadow fluctuated and finally dissipated completely on its own.

Was the Demon Ancestor’s heart really this fragile? I had only spoken a few blunt truths.

With the Demon Shadow’s dispersal, Nezha’s spirit platform was once again bathed in golden light, regaining its clarity and purity.

Having gained a foundation that could carry the Great Dao, the Dao Nezha understood finally began to materialize instead of relying solely on Nezha’s whims to activate.

Currently, Nezha excelled in mimicking Pangu’s Heavenly Creation, a Power Dao strengthened through his studies in Pangu Hall; the False Dao inherited from the Creation Jade Scroll Fragnt; and the Space Dao comprehended through the Chaos Bell Fragnt.

The Power Dao, pioneered by Pangu, is the most challenging to cultivate and has the highest ceiling among all Daos.

The False Dao is the easiest to cultivate and, since no Great Expert has claid it, offers a smooth path.

The Space Dao, however, is Nezha’s weakest comprehension; moreover, the Space Dao has already been claid by Yang i Ancestor. Having attained Chaos Origin Great Luo Golden Immortal status, Yang i Ancestor has wandered deep into Chaos, leaving this path completely blocked.

Nezha’s cultivation in the Space Dao stems chiefly from its imnse practicality, as it is indispensable for travel, storage, and partitioning.

This Dao has significantly improved Nezha’s quality of life.
