Xi Shu retorted, “And who said that I’m an illegitimate daughter? I know you don’t like , but my mother and your father were truly in love. When my mother married your father, your mother had already passed away. What right do you have to say that I’m an illegitimate daughter? If you want to bla soone, bla your mother for having the misfortune to die early!”

Xi Wan’s eyes turned cold, and she slapped Xi Shu’s face. “Shut up. You don’t deserve to ntion my mother, you lowly thing.”

Xi Shu was dumbfounded. “You ... You actually hit .

Xi Wan snorted. “So what? The real issue is why I would say that you’re an illegitimate daughter. Do you want to take your hair and my father’s hair to the hospital for verification? Should I get the Xi family to issue a statent then? Who gave you the guts to humiliate my mother! I don’t care if we have a falling out. I’m willing to go all the way with this, but what about you? Do you dare?”

Xi Wan looked straight at Xi Shu. Her glare frightened Xi Shu.

Ever since she ca to the Xi family, Xi Shu had been doted on by Xi Kang, Xi Wan’s father. Her mother was even more protective of her. Xi Wan was always a straightforward person who didn’t know how to put on an act, so every ti Xi Shu pretended to be bullied by Xi Wan in front of her parents, Xi Wan would be scolded by her father.

In Xi Shu’s heart, she did not take Xi Wan seriously at all.

In school, everyone knew that she was the young lady of the Xi family and treated her with an ingratiating attitude. No one had ever humiliated her in public like this, but she could not refute Xi Wan’s words.

Xi Shu walked away with red eyes, thinking that she should quickly complain to Xi Kang.

After she left, Kong Shuo looked at Xi Wan with gratitude. “Thank you.”

Xi Wan smiled nonchalantly. “It’s okay. I’m just lecturing the senseless girl from my house.”

As she spoke, she handed her business card to Kong Shuo. “I’m afraid you might not be able to work in this store, so hear out. I happen to be looking for a designer. Co work for , and I’ll give you 500 yuan a day.”

Kong Shuo accepted her na card in a daze. It took him a while to realize what Xi Wan had said, and he quickly rejected her. “No, how can I receive such a high salary? I haven’t even graduated yet. Besides, how did you know that I’m a designer?”

At this mont, Kong Shuo looked at Xi Wan warily. Could it be that this person was also soone who wanted to get him?

Xi Wan could tell that Kong Shuo was on guard, but she could understand. After all, Xi Wan’s harassnt must have left a shadow on his heart.

“I’ve seen your work. Didn’t you win an award before? I just didn’t expect my sister to pester you. Don’t worry, if she makes things difficult for you in the future, I’ll look out for you.”

She then looked at the store manager who was standing at the side. “Would you mind if I took him away?”

The store manager did know about the Xi family, and of course, he also knew that this person was Xi Wan. He imdiately nodded. “Of course. There’s no problem.”

Xi Wan brought Kong Shuo into the carriage, looked at the ti, and said with a smile, “Let’s drop him off at the villa first, then we’ll co back for dinner.”

“Yes, Madam,” the driver replied.

Only then did Kong Shuo realize that she was already married.

Thinking back to his earlier suspicions, Kong Shuo felt ashad; he had actually suspected that Xi Wan might have other intentions towards him.

The driver looked at the ti and asked, “Madam, it will take 30 minutes to go back and forth. Will it delay your al?”

Xi Wan smiled. “It doesn’t affect .”

She’d let Xi Kang wait and see what happened. It was his fault for being so fierce to her.

Moreover, she had just scolded Xi Shu, so Xi Shu had definitely complained about her when she’d gotten back. Xi Kang must have been holding back his anger and was ready to scold her. But Xi Wan wasn’t so dumb as to sit back and wait to be scolded..

When Kong Shuo was sent to the villa, Xi Wan introduced him to Liu Yang and asked Kong Shuo to help Liu Yang with the design.

Although Liu Yang was a little surprised that Xi Wan had found him an assistant, he would not reject the request of a client. The two of them chatted for a while, and Liu Yang realized that Kong Shuo was very talented in designing things. On Kong Shuo’s end, he was very happy that he was able to freely express his imagination here.

Xi Wan saw that they were getting along very well and smiled slightly. She quietly finished her coffee and ate so snacks before she slowly made her way back to the Xi family house.
