A whole chest full of treasures, impossible to fit into one backpack. I managed to fill four backpacks before realizing it was too conspicuous to take everything.

So I put two bags back, then took Qinghan inside, hiding him in the chest.

The chest’s material was the sa as that of the silver coffin, probably very sturdy, perfect for preserving fragile ’items’.

Having found a safe hiding place for Qinghan, I could now act freely.

As I was about to seize their weapons, two people suddenly moved, glaring and cursing each other for their greed. Before long, they started fighting.

These two led the charge; others soon joined the fray, shouting ’Don’t grab, it’s all mine,’ ’Dare to grab my stuff, I’ll kill you,’ clearly bewitched.

I glanced at the large pearl in the silver coffin; that must be what drove Lord Qi and them mad.

The people fought fiercely, leaving no room for rcy. They choked, poked eyes, and even drew their weapons. Seeing things go awry, I quickly climbed into the chest, throwing out all the teapots and wine cups to make space, then shut the lid.

Soon, the sound of gunfire erupted outside. Although I wasn’t afraid of bullets, I felt sorry for my new clothes, since it’d be a pity if they got ruined.

One ruthless person, possibly feeling unsatisfied with the handgun, fired away with a submachine gun, bullets hitting the chest in a corner, startling .

I quickly pushed Qinghan against the wall. If this chest wasn’t bulletproof, Professor Chen would die unfairly.

Luckily, the chest withstood the bullet assault, only getting a dozen dents but not penetrated.

"Die, all of you die, it’s mine, all mine!" the person shouted wildly, then suddenly shrieked, and the gunfire ceased.

"Don’t look at the light, quickly put the coffin lid back on—hurry!" Lord Qi, who had woken up at so point, instructed his n to close the coffin lid.

I felt a bit disappointed; I had hoped they’d tear each other apart to extinction. But soone waking up early ssed that plan up, and I hadn’t even grabbed a gun yet, how troubleso...

"Stop hiding, co out and help." Lord Qi walked towards the chest.

I pushed open the lid and peeked out. Only twelve people were left in the tomb chamber, including two from Sakura.

"Why are you unhard?" Lord Qi looked at with a aningful gaze.

"It’s the Leng Family’s secret technique." I figured I couldn’t use the Leng Family’s na lightly; I had to bring it out at any opportunity to cover myself, or the lies I’d told before wouldn’t hold up.

"Are you a Leng Family mber?" Lord Qi raised an eyebrow, possibly assuming before that I was a freelancer without a fixed group or organization, because it was uncommon in the industry to see a two-person team like and Qinghan.

"Um...?" Just as I was about to nod, Qinghan elbowed , "Is it or is it not?"

"Stop joking, are you or aren’t you a Leng Family mber?" Lord Qi’s tone was harsh, suggesting animosity with the Leng Family.

"No, I stole the skills from them." I promptly changed my tune.

"Little girl, you got so skills, but—" Lord Qi raised his pistol, eyes flashing coldly, when there was a ’bang’, and the coffin lid behind him sprung open again.

This spring wasn’t light; it flung the two n trying to close it against the wall, causing moans and spray of blood.

The pearl is large, and the silver coffin that houses it is even larger. The lid was like a double bed’s board, twice as thick as a normal door. A bullet hitting it only leaves a small dent; you can imagine how solid it is.

"You go close it!" Lord Qi gestured with his pistol, signaling to shut the coffin lid.

I calculated silently; they had twelve people, it would take at least five minutes to handle them all. If they used Qinghan to threaten , I wasn’t absolutely sure I could save him.

Sigh~ carrying a living person is indeed troubleso.

Following instructions, I walked towards the silver coffin, pushing the sprung lid down while mumbling, "Stop ssing around, playing rough and killing, you seem to have not killed anyone in a while, huh."

"Lord Qi, there, there... there can’t be a zombie in that coffin, right?" a cherry-blossom countryman with a slightly longer chin approached Lord Qi, speaking in awkward Chinese.

"No, not enough space, there shouldn’t be a corpse." Lord Qi was the backbone of their team; his n and the two Sakura people followed his words unquestioningly.

"Oh my!" Hearing the word ’zombie’ from the Sakura guy, I knew he was an outsider. No wonder he believed Lord Qi’s judgnt without a second thought.

"What’s the matter? Don’t act spooky. Girl, as soone in this field, you should have heard of my na, Master Zhong. Master Zhong never believed in evil."

Due to Lord Qi’s orders, the others avoided looking at the pearl in the coffin, leaving the only one able to stare at it. As I pushed the coffin lid back, I naturally glanced at the pearl a few tis, unsure if I was seeing things, but it seed sothing inside moved.

Perhaps it’s a fellow of ours not fully dead; a blonde beauty’s face flashed in my mind, though I couldn’t let Lord Qi and them know.

"It’s nothing, the coffin lid is too heavy, pushing it is strenuous."

"Once we finish checking the tomb chamber and head out, smash it into pieces inside, pack it tightly." Lord Qi stood by the chest, pointing a gun at Qinghan hidden within, "Try any tricks, and I’ll blow this pretty boy’s head off."

I suddenly thought of giving Qinghan a new head, one that wouldn’t break. Movies often show people bitten by zombies turning into zombies; I wonder if I should bite him later?

"Got it." I replied helplessly, while pressing the coffin lid back down.

Lord Qi’s subordinates rarely spoke, at least not in his presence. They didn’t even have private conversations.

It was evident they feared him greatly, doing as instructed without asking questions.

Bang bang, two shots, Lord Qi personally ended the life of the injured man. This must be why his subordinates feared him, not even offering an explanation, likely having done this many tis before— dealing with what couldn’t be taken, without batting an eye.

"Begin." Seeing the coffin lid restored and the wounded dealt with, Lord Qi ordered.

His subordinates imdiately began groping around the tomb chamber, knocking and stepping on surfaces as if searching for a hidden passage.

Just after the chaotic fight, their diving equipnt was severely damaged, leaving only a few usable items. If they didn’t take anything, it wouldn’t be a big issue, but they clearly didn’t want to leave empty-handed. If they carried chests and pearls, they could only use the land route.

Intuition told there was a hidden passage exit here, most likely beneath the coffin.

This isn’t a wild guess, it’s what I heard from those tomb robbers before. But Lord Qi’s subordinates avoided the base beneath the coffin, knocking on every inch of the walls instead.
