Now it grabbed my hand again, refusing to let go no matter what.

I sighed internally, why did it grab and not soone else?

"It has no pulse." I checked the pulse of the high-tech humanoid for Doctor Du.

"Why is it holding onto you?" Doctor Du asked puzzled.

"I don’t know, as soon as it opened its eyes, it grabbed . I managed to get free, then it caught again, and I can’t shake it off." I tried shaking it off with force, but to no avail, the hand holding mine wouldn’t let go.

The strength of a non-human entity is not in the sa class as a human, even for , I can’t resist so forces, like the sand wind outside.

Doctor Du gradually regained her strength, perhaps due to the dication. We chatted for a while, and she ntioned that this underground space doesn’t seem like a tomb.

The passage outside also doesn’t look like a burial pathway. She was entangled with the humanoid in the water and didn’t have the ti to closely examine the carvings on the rocks, only knowing that those were artificially treated stones.

I carefully described the passage, stones, and patterns I observed to her. In ancient tombs, carvings usually depict natural images, such as flora and fauna, birds and beasts, or daily life scenes, and sotis scenes of large events.

The ’room’ and corridor of the high-tech humanoid only had patterns, like photomontage borders.

The box it was stored in was very simple in design, looking back it highly resembles a minimalist ’gift box’.

So this place is rely a storage room for high-tech humanoid... robots.

Doctor Du said this space shouldn’t exist independently, like a storage room should be within a house.

"Do you think there are more passages outside? Leading to a larger building?" I asked.

"It’s possible there was an earthquake here, and what we’re seeing might not be the whole picture." Doctor Du said.

"You’re not suggesting that..."

"Exactly, the Ancient City that appeared in the desert might initially be much larger than what the locals discovered."

"If that’s true, we wouldn’t need to hide during the day and co out at night, going through the underground would be so much better."

"Actually, don’t get your hopes up too high, if there was an earthquake, the roads leading into the city might have long since been blocked."

"Might as well try, oh, you rest here first, I’ll go call them down and tell Wang Le and Huang Zaijiang how to cure the disease."

We were so engrossed in chatting that we almost forgot about the two ’patients’.

I got up and checked on the two living corpses that were no longer a threat, and tossed them into the stone box, covering it properly.

Then, placing Doctor Du to sit on the cover, pressing down the coffin lid, then... then pulled the high-tech chanical Girl back to the Scorpion Cave.

The rope around my waist ca off when entering this stone chamber. I pulled the rope to send a signal to the top, but since the distance was quite far, I wasn’t sure if they received it.

Anyway, the rope wasn’t pulled back by them and was still at the entrance. I thought since the two living corpses were ’contained’, there should be no more surprises in the water passage, thus I didn’t tie the rope back.

Leaving that strange Waterproof Door, I originally thought dragging a robot up would be difficult but to my surprise, the robot was very light in the water, having almost no weight. Although it couldn’t swim, dragging it felt like towing a piece of seaweed, it wasn’t difficult at all.

Returning inside the Scorpion Cave, Qinghan stood on the rock by the water, seeing erge, imdiately bent down to pull up.

He then saw the chanical Girl holding onto tightly, I said as my head erged from the water: "Don’t hit it, it’s not a monster."

Climbing onto the rock by the water, I imdiately waved to Wang Le and Huang Zaijiang, "Co quickly, this water can heal diseases, Doctor Du’s petrification is already cured."

At this mont, Wang Le was still fine, but half of Huang Zaijiang’s face had turned to stone. Upon hearing this, Wang Le imdiately ran over and jumped into the spring.

Huang Zaijiang, with Mike’s help, also walked over and slowly sank into the water.

I didn’t know how long they needed to soak for it to be effective, so I could only let them stay in the spring and see.

Wang Le didn’t need to subrge his head, he gripped the rock with one hand, imrsing everything below his shoulders in the water.

Huang Zaijiang, however, needed to subrge his entire head. The two of them soaking in the spring made it look especially narrow, two people back to back, tightly pressed together.

At this mont, Qinghan asked how Doctor Du was, I said she was fine, just suffered from subrsion but was okay now, resting below.

ntioning ’below’, I continued, "There’s a stone chamber down there, with air inside, and a magical Waterproof Door too."

"Who is she?" Mike’s gaze fell on the chanical Girl, with a hint of wariness.

"It’s... soone I picked up, trapped down there—a ’tourist’?" I thought of several identities, but none seed reliable.

The main issue was whether I should tell Mike about the chanical Girl. After all, he and we each had different objectives, and we couldn’t possibly share everything with him.
