Chapter 43: Registered For Marriage
Su Wan cried out in alarm but Jiang Xuecheng closed the door very quickly and carried her downstairs.
“The Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs is closed. Jiang Xuecheng...”
“Don’t worry, I’ve ordered soone to prepare everything.” Jiang Xuecheng’s smile was charming. “We’ll go over to take a photograph and can officially register our marriage.”
How did she forget that Jiang Xuecheng was not an ordinary person...
That mont, Su Wan strongly believed that Jiang Xuecheng truly loved her.
Otherwise, Jiang Xuecheng wouldn’t have hastily arranged to register their marriage. It was as if he was afraid she would regret it and wished to tie her down with this.
Not wanting to ruin Jiang Xuecheng’s good mood, Su Wan did not resist and allowed him to carry her. Jiang Xuecheng’s chest was broad and warm. Suddenly, Su Wan felt at ease.
She could probably try to fall in love with this man. No matter what the result would be, she would learn how to be a good wife.
As Lin Fei’er’s apartnt was on the sixth floor, most of the residents were used to taking the elevator. Thus, not many people noticed Jiang Xuecheng carrying Su Wan down the stairs.
When they arrived at the lobby, Su Wan felt embarrassed and requested for Jiang Xuecheng to put her down.
Jiang Xuecheng had carried Su Wan the whole way down but he seed to have endless energy and if Su Wan hadn’t insisted, he would not have put her down.
Su Wan blushed when she got down from Jiang Xuecheng’s arms. He curved his lips into a charming beam. The luster in his eyes could steal many souls.
“You’re shy now. What about our wedding night...?”
Upon hearing this, Su Wan rembered the thing she had to face. She looked down and didn’t dare look at Jiang Xuecheng. She opened the car door and entered the car.
Jiang Xuecheng started the engine and Su Wan frowned while she requested softly, “Mr. Jiang, can you promise several things about our marriage?”
This woman wanted to specify so terms...
Jiang Xuecheng glanced at Su Wan. His brows raised slightly but he firstly corrected how Su Wan was addressing him. “You’ll be my wife soon. You must call Xuecheng, or Cheng.”
His magnetic and deep voice was like a spell in Su Wan’s ears.
She stared blankly for a while. Then, her ear turned pink and shyness grew from deep within her eyes.
“Xuecheng...”
It was just a na but Su Wan said it very softly. If the two of them had not been sitting so close to each other, Jiang Xuecheng would have barely heard it.
Jiang Xuecheng caught Su Wan’s awkwardness and inadaptability. He teased her cheekily, “Didn’t you have dinner just now? I could barely hear you. Louder, please.”
Being stared at by Jiang Xuecheng was like being drawn into a bottomless ocean and constantly sinking.
Su Wan’s blank look had a sense of innocence. Jiang Xuecheng couldn’t help but pinch her nose. “Why did you space out?”
The man’s warm breath imprinted on Su Wan’s face. Unconsciously, she wanted to dodge but she controlled herself not to turn her head.
Although Jiang Xuecheng removed his hand pretty quickly, it still made her heart beat chaotically.
Su Wan bit her lips and recovered from her nervousness. She raised her voice a little and voiced out seriously.
“Xue...Xuecheng, with regards to our marriage, let’s set a few rules to be observed by both of us.”
“Go on.”
Jiang Xuecheng held the steering wheel tightly. He narrowed his eyes and his lips remained curled into a flawless smile.
“First, let’s not announce our marriage to the public yet. It ans we’ll hold our wedding ceremony later. Second, after marriage, if you’re bored with , you must tell earlier. I cannot accept derailnt of marriage and at the sa ti, I promise to be loyal to you. Third...”
While listening, Jiang Xuecheng nodded. His marriage with Su Wan had been discussed in a hurry. If they were to have a wedding ceremony hastily, it would be a grievance to Su Wan.
He was a person who hated those who were fickle-minded and believed that when he married a person whom he loves, he would never part with her till the day he died. His views concurred with Su Wan’s first two points.
However, why did Su Wan start to stutter and blush?
Su Wan t Jiang Xuecheng’s mischievous eyes and felt unsure of how to directly voice the thing she wanted to say. Finally, she made an ambiguous statent.
“Third, with respect to a husband and wife’s rights and duties, if one partner is unwilling, the other cannot force it and will have to wait for the other partner to accept.”
Jiang Xuecheng sniggered at Su Wan’s naivety. His forehead creased and he pretended he didn’t understand. “The third term is too broad and includes too many things. Are you referring to sothing in particular or are you making a general reference?”
Su Wan’s face was burning. She looked down and replied unwillingly, “I was making a general reference.”
She couldn’t admit that she was not ready to perform her duty as Jiang Xuecheng’s wife, could she? This was sothing unavoidable after a marriage.
Just when Su Wan was making disorderly conjectures, they arrived at the Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. Both of them got down from the car and there were so staff mbers waiting for them at the door.
Very quickly, a young man ca up and greeted Jiang Xuecheng respectfully.
“Hello, Master Jiang!”
Both of them were led into a room and the marriage agreent was shoved into Su Wan’s hand.
Su Wan browsed through the words on the agreent and found that only her signature and Jiang Xuecheng’s signature were required to complete the marriage registration. She didn’t expect a marriage registration to be so simple. There weren’t that many trifling things as she had imagined.
Jiang Xuecheng put his signature to it first and his stokes were still as elegant as calligraphy, just like his handso and eye-catching appearance.
Su Wan took the pen from Jiang Xuecheng and pursed her lips faintly. Her heart, which was finally calm, began to thump wildly again.
Once she laid her signature down on the sheet of paper, she would be tied to Jiang Xuecheng forever.
Jiang Xuecheng had a faint smile on his face and he looked at Su Wan. “Why? Are you regretting already?”
Su Wan’s body froze and she quickly denied. “Of course not...”
Su Wan imdiately signed her na beside Jiang Xuecheng’s on the piece of paper. Her handwriting was beautiful and refined. When both their signatures were put together, the two different styles had a strange sense of beauty.
The staff mber took over the marriage agreent and glanced at Su Wan. Curiosity killed the cat! When he was inford that Young Master Jiang wanted to register his marriage with a woman, he was shocked!
This woman did not possess any uniqueness. Pretty girls wanting to be the young master’s wife were in abundance. Which part of this woman did Jiang Xuecheng like?
After that, Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng took a photograph and both of them received their red marriage certificate booklet. Su Wan opened the little booklet and what ca into her vision was their group photograph.
The picture showed a handso man and a pretty woman. They looked like a matching couple, but Su Wan’s smile was unnatural and the intimacy between couples was lacking.
That was how she stepped into marriage life. The world was full of impermanence.
Just when Su Wan was lanting with a tinge of emotion, her mobile phone vibrated. She took out her mobile phone and Lin Fei’er’s na flashed across the screen!
