Chapter 407: Haunted By Nightmares
Su Wan’s eyes widened when she heard what Jiang Xuecheng said.
This man was asking even though he knew the answer!
“Who told you to ss around? Otherwise, I wouldn’t have to use ‘making soup’ as an excuse!”
Su Wan rolled her eyes. She wanted to stand up, but Jiang Xuecheng’s legs were pressed on her body. His hands were also pressing on Su Wan’s shoulders, making her unable to move.
Jiang Xuecheng caressed Su Wan’s face. It was as if he was sketching a work of art as his fingertips slowly rubbed around Su Wan’s face.
Jiang Xuecheng’s pair of slender hands were quite to the taste of people who loved slender hands.
His skin was fairer than that of an average man’s. His nails were very clean. They were trimd short and his joints were distinct. It was a pity that he did not play musical instrunts like the piano.
However, these hands were now moving on her face.
Su Wan looked at him in a daze. Seeing that his handso features were getting closer and closer, her body quivered, and a layer of misty Jiangnan haze appeared in her eyes.

Jiang Xuecheng leaned forward beside Su Wan’s ear, and his low voice carried an inexplicable bewitchnt.
When Su Wan heard Jiang Xuecheng’s words, her face instantly turned red and redness spread to the tip of her ears. She looked into Jiang Xuecheng’s faintly smiling eyes and could not help but feel a little embarrassed.
This man actually repeated what she had said earlier!
Sure enough, she had dug a hole and now, no matter what, she had to fill up that hole!
Su Wan blinked her watery eyes. She stretched out her slender arm and wrapped it around Jiang Xuecheng’s neck.
“Carry back.”
Jiang Xuecheng narrowed his long and narrow eyes. His laughter ca from his thin lips, and it was very seductive.
He stretched out his long arm and lifted Su Wan up by her waist. He carried her into the bedroom with big strides.
He turned off the lights, and the bedroom was unusually dark.
However, Su Wan could alertly feel the pair of eyes staring at her from above. They were like a wolf locking onto its prey, ready to attack.
Su Wan’s face felt as if it had been burned by fire, and it kept burning.
Soon, the curtain was pulled down, and a few pieces of clothing flew around carelessly.
The two of them were very close to one another. They had rged into one, as if they had resonated in the depths of their souls.
Jiang Xuecheng interlocked his fingers with hers tightly, and like a violent wave on the sea, drowned Su Wan instantly.

The next morning, the cool morning wind blew past the windowsill, making the silk curtains rustle.
Su Wan opened her sleepy eyes and massaged her sore waist. In an instant, the scene from yesterday replayed in her mind.
That man had actually heard what she had said during the few days she was unconscious!
That day, she had said, “If you die, I’ll remarry the next day.” She had only wanted to agitate Jiang Xuecheng to get better as soon as possible.

Suddenly, she felt the man next to her move slightly. A slender hand was placed on her waist.
“Xuecheng?”
Su Wan was stunned. She turned to look at Jiang Xuecheng. The man seed to be very deep asleep and did not hear her at all.
The man’s eyes were slightly closed. His thick eyelashes covered his cold eyes. His entire person was less cold and more youthful.
It was rare that he was still sleeping soundly when she woke up.
In order to test whether the man was pretending to be asleep, Su Wan suddenly thought of sothing. She raised her hand and gestured a few tis above Jiang Xuecheng’s face, but the man’s eyes were still quietly closed.
The corner of Su Wan’s lips curved into an arc. She examined Jiang Xuecheng’s unusually peaceful sleeping face, and her hand could not help but fall on his face, outlining the man’s handso eyebrows and brows.
These were his eyes, nose, and mouth...
The more Su Wan described him, the more she felt that the heaven treated this man too well. It was as if there was not a single part of his facial features that was not perfect. Even if she looked at him from such a close distance, she could not find a single flaw in him.
Su Wan’s hand stopped at Jiang Xuecheng’s chin. She smiled slightly and decided to wait until she had done cleaning herself before she woke this lazy guy up.

After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Su Wan changed into a simple long dress and returned to her bedroom.
Before she went in, she suddenly heard one or two rapid gasps. It sounded like pain, with a bit of struggle.
Su Wan’s eyes widened, and her expression could not help but change. She quickened her pace and pushed open the bedroom door.
From afar, she saw Jiang Xuecheng still lying under the blanket. He bit his thin lips tightly, and his brows were knitted together. It was as if he was in a dream, and he was undergoing so cruel trial.
Was he having a nightmare?
Su Wan was startled and quickly walked toward Jiang Xuecheng.
She sat beside Jiang Xuecheng and seized his palm. She realized that this man’s hand was unusually cold and his palm was covered in a few drops of cold sweat.
What’s wrong with him...?
Su Wan was traumatized due to the event that happened a few days ago when Jiang Xuecheng was unconscious. She quickly stretched out her finger to check his breath.
He was breathing...
That shouldn’t be the strange illness he had a few days ago.
Su Wan pursed her lips, and her worried heart relaxed a little. She guessed that Jiang Xuecheng must have fallen into a nightmare.
Su Wan lowered her eyes and reached out to pick up Jiang Xuecheng. She whispered his na beside his ear.
“Xuecheng, wake up.”
The color on his face faded, and his facial features were a little distorted. Sweat kept oozing out of his forehead, and his hand, which was held by Su Wan, trembled uncontrollably.
“I...won’t go with you...”
His voice was weak. Su Wan could barely tell what Jiang Xuecheng had said.
What kind of strange dream was this? Could it be that Jiang Xuecheng was not happy with soone who wanted to take him away in the dream?
Su Wan was stunned. She hugged Jiang Xuecheng’s head and gently patted his face.
“Xuecheng, it’s all a dream. It’s not real. Wake up quickly.”

This was the second ti Jiang Xuecheng had had such a dream.
A blood-red moon in the sky was glowing with an evil light, observing his every move.
Jiang Xuecheng felt as if he was imrsed in a dark space. He slowly moved his feet, feeling as if he was weightless.
“Ti is almost up. Co back.”
A strange voice that was neither male nor female sounded. It seed to co from all directions, and it was impossible to tell where the speaker was standing.
What shocked Jiang Xuecheng the most was that he had never learned this language, but he could understand it.
It was neither Chinese nor any common foreign language.
