September 30th.

Lin Entertainnt’s anniversary celebration.

A celebration held every three years, essentially a gathering for the entire entertainnt industry, and even more so, a gathering for the elite.

The Lin Family holds a very high status in the Capital City.

Moreover, Lin Huai Shu and Gu Yanjing are close friends, and Mr. Gu always attends the celebration, which is a rare chance for many to see Gu Yanjing.

At 7:30 in the evening, celebrities walked the red carpet.

At 8 o’clock, Qiao Yuxian entered the venue low-key with her invitation.

A little past 8:20, she was leisurely eating fruit in a corner, watching people inside socializing, when out of the corner of her eye she suddenly saw a shadow.

As soon as she saw it, the figure rushed over and hugged her, "My Yu Xian!"

Qiao Yuxian’s fingers pinched a grape, which fell to the ground when she was pounced on, and she didn’t know where it rolled off to.

She tightened her grip and turned her head to look at the person hugging her.

"Qin Xia."

Qin Xia is her actor friend.

At twenty-two, she won the Best Actress Award for her first movie, becoming a film queen.

It can be said she peaked as soon as she debuted.

She’s been highly popular in recent years and holds a high status in the entertainnt industry.

She’s very pretty, with a pure and fresh look.

She has been crowned as the "National Pure Goddess."

Initially, she was marketed as following the youthful icon route. But that image lasted only a month because she ended it by pointing at black fans at the airport, saying, "Get lost." in front of so many caras.

After that, her agent let loose, allowing her to do the sa.

No persona marketing was done for her, letting her grow wildly in the entertainnt circle.

Qin Xia let go of her and imdiately pulled her up, "Let see if the dress I picked is unbelievably stunning."

Qiao Yuxian was wearing a black rmaid dress today. A spaghetti strap, backless design, perfectly accentuating her figure.

Elegant yet sexy.

Qin Xia circled around her, marveling, "Yu Xian, really, you should enter the entertainnt industry. Or at least walk the red carpet. Your figure is absolutely incredible. It’s a huge loss if they don’t get to capture you today."

Qiao Yuxian didn’t take her words to heart and wanted to sit down again, but Qin Xia wouldn’t let her sit, "What are you doing, sitting down? Sitting down won’t fully showcase your beauty."

Qiao Yuxian: "......."

Qin Xia straightened her dress, saying, "The mont I saw this dress, I knew it should be on you."

"So, you insisted I co tonight just to have wear this dress?" Qiao Yuxian asked.

"Exactly." Qin Xia replied confidently.

Qiao Yuxian: "......"

"Of course, you could also find a man." Qin Xia perked up at this, "I checked the schedule. Many people from the entertainnt world are here today. A lot of noble gentlen too, all quite handso. Lin Huai Shu is pretty good. You should et them; if you fancy soone, I’ll tackle them for you."

Qiao Yuxian looked at her.

"Good sisters, say it, do it." Qin Xia, in a pink and white long-tailing dress, with vintage short hair, tender and gentle, yet like a buddy, slung her arm around Qiao Yuxian’s shoulder, "Honestly, tonight, no matter who you fancy, except Gu Yanjing, I’ll help you handle it."

Qiao Yuxian slightly raised her brow, "Why except Gu Yanjing?"

Qin Xia frowned, looking shocked, "Are you crazy? You want to think about Gu Yanjing too. Do you find your life too peaceful, or do you want to blow up the Capital City?"

Qiao Yuxian looked at her without speaking.

"What’s with that look?" Qin Xia patted her fair shoulder with the hand around her, feeling a nice texture, she stroked it again, "Oh, last ti, how co there was a man beside you so late at night?"

Qiao Yuxian looked at her again, after a mont said, "I’ll introduce you to him when there’s ti."

"Huh?!" Qin Xia widened her eyes, a flicker in her eyes, "What do you an? What do you an introduce him to ?!"

Qiao Yuxian picked another grape, speaking leisurely, "Hurry and get busy with your work, don’t hang around here."

"No, what did you an just now?" Qin Xia hooked her arm around her neck, "Am I not your best friend anymore, you actually have a little secret."

Qiao Yuxian removed her hand, "I’ll tell you after you’re done, go now. Your assistant can’t find you and will start circling again."

Qin Xia looked at her, after a while said, "Then when I co back you must tell ."

"Hmm."

Qin Xia left, and Qiao Yuxian sat back on the sofa, eating fruit.

Her appearance was too eye-catching, even sitting in a corner, many people still looked over, and quite a few even wanted to approach.

But not a single one managed to get close.

Qiao Yuxian sat quietly on the sofa, and whenever she sensed soone approaching, she’d look over.

The cold, aloof gaze was enough to drive people away instantly.

So she sat for another half hour, enjoying so peace.

Once again sensing soone approaching, Qiao Yuxian looked up, the coldness lasted only a second, then she raised her brow and smiled, switching to a gentle deanor, "Finished your work?"

The man t her gaze, smiling warmly too, and walked over, "My schedule was quicker."

Qiao Yuxian chuckled, looked to the side, and gestured for him to sit, "How’s everything lately?"

"Everything’s fine, I’ve been in seclusion writing songs." The man sat down and said.

...

Gu Yanjing and Chu Zhengran arrived together and went straight upstairs.

The place they went upstairs had floor-to-ceiling windows made of one-way glass.

They could see straight down, but from below nothing could be seen up.

Lin Huai Shu almost finished with his tasks, ca over to see them.

Seeing Gu Yanjing, he looked around and, noticing he was alone, asked, "Where’s your better half? Why didn’t you bring her along?"

Gu Yanjing sat on the sofa, ignoring him.

Lin Huai Shu looked at Chu Zhengran, then back at Gu Yanjing.

This person... seems a little low on mood.

What to do when a good brother is in a bad mood?

Of course, take the chance to provoke him further.

Lin Huai Shu suddenly had an ’aha’ mont, curling his lips in a smile, "I get it, she didn’t want to co with you."

Gu Yanjing said nothing.

Since he took her to school in the morning, he hadn’t seen her.

After work, he specifically went back to Fenglin Villa. But found she hadn’t returned and had left Shang Chen behind and went on her own.

He still doesn’t know where she is now.

"You must be too fierce." Lin Huai Shu said teasingly, "She doesn’t want to play with you."

Gu Yanjing took a sip of his drink nonchalantly, still silent, but silently calculated how to give Lin Entertainnt a "grand gift."

"Yanjing, I’m not just saying this. I think the person sitting on the corner sofa looks a lot like Miss Qiao." Wearing an all-white suit, gentle as jade, Chu Zhengran stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, watching below.

Hearing his words, Gu Yanjing looked up at him.

Chu Zhengran t his gaze, raised an eyebrow with a smile.

Gu Yanjing sat silently for two seconds, then got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.

He followed Chu Zhengran’s line of sight.

Just happened to see that little girl who claid it was too crowded and was socially anxious not coming.

And there was a random man beside her.

Their hands reaching out, heads almost touching, talking about who knows what.
