Chapter 161: Admitted to the Hospital
After taking the dicine, Rachel Royce did indeed feel much more relaxed.
She took a short nap in the car, then returned to the office to continue working.
But that afternoon, Rachel Royce still ended up in the hospital.
The intense stress had caused her period to start early, and the abdominal pain was so severe that she simply couldn’t continue working.
Her only option was to go to the hospital for an IV drip.
June Jennings heard the news from Joanna Sutton. Joanna was too busy with work to go take care of her, so she could only call June, the "idle" one.
June Jennings picked up the kids and then went to the hospital.
When lissa learned that Aunt Evelynn was sick, she was incredibly worried and imdiately called Rachel Royce.
"Auntie’s fine, lissa. Don’t worry."

June Jennings arrived at the hospital room with Stella and lissa.
Rachel Royce was currently on an IV drip.
"Aunt Evelynn!"
lissa ran to the bedside, staring at Rachel Royce with wide, teary eyes on the verge of crying. Rachel reached out, stroking her little head and comforting her, "Aunt Evelynn is fine, lissa. Don’t worry."
"What kind of sickness do you have, Aunt Evelynn?" lissa asked.
Rachel Royce replied, "Just a normal sickness. I’ll be able to leave the hospital tomorrow."
lissa wanted to climb onto the bed to be next to Rachel Royce.
June Jennings quickly stepped forward to help lissa, took off her shoes, and lifted her onto the bed beside Rachel Royce. lissa wrapped her small hands tightly around Rachel.
Rachel felt a sense of fond helplessness. Holding lissa with one arm and slling the sweet fragrance from the little girl, she felt all her nerves begin to relax.
Watching this scene, June Jennings smiled and said, "lissa is even clingier than Stella."
Rachel Royce gently brushed the hair from the side of lissa’s cheek, her eyes full of tenderness. "But it doesn’t matter," she said.
June Jennings stayed at the hospital to keep Rachel Royce company.
"By the way, has Peter Preston not co back today?"
Rachel Royce said, "I asked Thomas today. He’s on an early flight tomorrow morning."
As for the details of the situation, she hadn’t asked yet.
She would have to wait until they returned tomorrow to find out.
June Jennings nodded.
「Dinnerti.」
Florence Preston brought dinner to the hospital. Knowing that June Jennings and the children were there, she had brought extra food.
After June Jennings and Stella finished their dinner and stayed for a while longer, they prepared to leave.
June Jennings told Rachel Royce to get so good rest.
Rachel Royce said, "I know, I’m fine. You guys head back, and be careful on the way."
"Okay."
lissa and Stella said goodbye to each other.
Florence Preston saw them off.
When she returned to the hospital room, Florence Preston looked at Rachel Royce and asked, "The person standing guard outside the door is lissa’s nanny, right?"
Rachel Royce replied, "I believe so."
"Then is lissa going ho today?"
Before Rachel Royce could answer, lissa piped up, "Grandma Preston, I’m not going ho today. I want to stay at the hospital and keep Aunt Evelynn company."
Rachel Royce said, "lissa, you still have to go ho later. Have you forgotten that you got sick last ti after going ho from the hospital? If lissa gets sick, Aunt Evelynn will feel even worse, and then Aunt Evelynn’s sickness won’t get better at all."
Hearing Rachel Royce say this, lissa pouted and hesitated.
Just then, a figure appeared at the doorway of the hospital room.
"Daddy!"
lissa cried out.
Rachel Royce looked up and saw the man who had just walked in, and her entire mood instantly soured.
Tristan Sterling’s gaze fell upon the woman, and he naturally noticed the change in her expression.
Florence Preston looked at the man but made no move to greet him.
