Chapter 122: A Tyrannical Kiss

Rachel Royce listened to the man’s utterly shaless words, rage surging in her beautiful eyes. She raised her hand to slap him.

"You’re shaless!"

But before her palm could connect with his cheek, a large, powerful hand caught her wrist.

Rachel Royce struggled, trying to pull her hand back.

The disparity in strength between a man and a woman was imnse.

No matter how much she struggled, he didn’t budge.

"Tristan Sterling, you bastard, let go!"

Tristan Sterling’s dark eyes narrowed as he looked at her—at her eyes filled with anger and resentnt, her fair cheeks flushed from the emotional turmoil, her red lips slightly parted.

The next second,

before Rachel Royce could react,

he grabbed the back of her head, and his forceful, overwhelming kiss ca crashing down.

Rachel Royce’s eyes flew wide open. Her back was pressed hard against the French window, and a wave of dizziness washed over her.

By the ti she ca to her senses and began to struggle, he had already pinned both of her hands above her head.

He was like a mountain pressing down on her.

The man’s kiss grew more and more tyrannical, a sort of aggressive punishnt completely devoid of any tenderness.

Rain pattered against the window outside.

The air inside the room grew scorching hot.

The strength was slowly draining from Rachel Royce’s body.

Just then,

the nanny ca out of the bathroom with lissa.

Tristan Sterling slowly released Rachel Royce. The fiery passion in his eyes vanished in an instant, leaving behind only his usual cool indifference.

lissa ran happily toward her father, giggling. "Daddy, Aunt Evelynn, were you two kissing? I want a kiss, too."

Tristan Sterling crouched down. Rachel Royce turned away, gasping for air as she wiped her lips with the back of her hand, her eyes full of disgust.

Tristan Sterling kissed his daughter on the forehead.

lissa lifted her little head to kiss her dad on the cheek, giggling happily and revealing her little white teeth.

Then she ran over to Rachel Royce. "Aunt Evelynn."

Rachel Royce crouched down and swept her daughter into her arms. lissa wrapped her arms around Rachel’s neck and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Looking at her daughter, Rachel Royce composed herself and gave her a soft smile before carrying her out of the room and downstairs.

The rain in the mountains continued to fall.

The nanny had already prepared dinner.

"Daddy, it’s raining outside. Are we still going ho tonight?" lissa asked, chewing her food.

Tristan Sterling said, "We’ll go back tomorrow."

lissa was, of course, delighted. This ant she could sleep with Aunt Evelynn tonight. She turned her head, looking up at Rachel Royce, and explained, "Aunt Evelynn, it’s dangerous to go ho when it’s raining at night. Can we just stay here tonight, please?"

Rachel Royce put so food on her daughter’s plate, smiled faintly, and humd in agreent.

lissa put so food on Rachel Royce’s plate, and then on her dad’s plate.

Her little face was the picture of happiness.

After dinner,

lissa had them watch cartoons with her, and then she sang along with the characters for her dad and Aunt Evelynn.

Rachel Royce’s gaze was fixed on her daughter, the tenderness in her eyes tinged with an indescribable sadness.

Tristan Sterling sat back in the armchair to the side. As he watched his daughter, his gaze would inadvertently sweep over the woman.

Just then,

Rachel Royce’s phone vibrated. She picked it up from the coffee table and said to lissa, "Auntie has to take a call."

"Okay."

Rachel Royce took her phone over to the French window to answer it.

"Hello, Brother."

"Rachel, why aren’t you ho yet?"

Rachel Royce said, "I’m out tonight. I can’t get back for now."

"Are you alone? Or with soone?"

"I’m with my daughter."

Peter Preston asked, "Did you go talk to him?"

Rachel Royce humd in affirmation.

"Alright, we’ll talk when you get back."

"Okay."

Rachel Royce put her phone down and turned to see lissa playing with Tristan Sterling. She didn’t know what he had said to make her laugh, but lissa was leaning against her father, suddenly bursting into loud, clear laughter that echoed through the living room.

Rachel Royce stood where she was, watching them quietly for a mont.

Tristan Sterling suddenly looked up at her. The loving, doting smile he had for lissa gradually faded as his eyes t Rachel’s.

lissa looked at Rachel Royce. "Aunt Evelynn."

Rachel Royce walked over, and lissa ran to her. "Aunt Evelynn, why are fish so smart?"

Rachel Royce pulled lissa down to sit with her and asked gently, "Why?"

"Because they live in schools!"

lissa couldn’t help but giggle again.

Rachel Royce stroked lissa’s head and laughed along with her.

The two of them stayed in the living room with lissa. The little girl had a cheerful personality, and at a glance, the atmosphere seed harmonious.

Before nine o’clock,

lissa started yawning.

lissa wanted to sleep next to Rachel Royce tonight.

The nanny had already prepared a guest bedroom, and Rachel Royce had intended to sleep there with lissa.

Just as they went upstairs,

they ran into Tristan Sterling coming out of his shower.

The man was wearing a navy blue silk robe, the belt tied at his waist accentuating his broad shoulders and narrow waist. The V-neck offered a glimpse of his strong, powerful chest, and the tips of his short hair were still damp.

"Daddy, I’m sleeping with Aunt Evelynn tonight," lissa told her father.

Tristan Sterling looked at lissa without saying anything, then turned to Rachel Royce and said in a business-like tone, "lissa has trouble sleeping in unfamiliar beds. You can take her to the master bedroom."

In the past, whenever they were here, Tristan Sterling would always sleep with lissa in the master bedroom.

But deep down, Rachel Royce wanted nothing to do with his territory.

「Five years ago.」

Aside from that one accidental night of intimacy, after they got their marriage certificate, they had never been close. She certainly would never have slept in his bed.

And now, it was even more impossible for Rachel Royce to sleep in the bedroom he used.

Rachel Royce picked up lissa, ignoring the man. She said to lissa, "Honey, how about you and Auntie sleep in the guest room first?"

lissa’s soft voice replied, "I can sleep anywhere with Aunt Evelynn."

Rachel Royce smiled, not sparing the man another glance, and took lissa straight into the guest room, which was right next to the master bedroom.

Once back in the room,

Rachel Royce shut the door.

The man stood frozen, staring at the closed door. He let out a derisive scoff, then turned and went back to his bedroom.

Rachel Royce put lissa on the bed and went to take a shower first.

The nanny had already prepared a clean robe for her.

"I’ll co back after you’re done with your shower, Aunt Evelynn," lissa said. "I’m going to Daddy’s room first. I haven’t said goodnight to him yet."

Rachel Royce said, "Okay, you go ahead, sweetie. Just rember to co back."

"Okay, I’ll be right back."

Tristan Sterling was sitting on the sofa, his expression focused as he scrolled through docunts on a tablet.

lissa opened the door and ca in.

"Daddy."

Tristan Sterling looked at his daughter, his stern features softening. He put down his tablet. "What are you doing here?"

lissa walked up to her dad. "Aunt Evelynn is taking a shower. I’ll go back when she’s done. I have sothing to tell you, Daddy."

Tristan Sterling picked up his daughter and sat her on his lap. "What do you want to tell ?"

lissa looked at Tristan Sterling and mumbled, "I feel like Aunt Evelynn doesn’t want to talk to you, Daddy. What did you do to bully Aunt Evelynn?"

Tristan Sterling stroked his daughter’s little head and smiled. "So lissa knows how to question her daddy now, huh?"

"Well, you’re not allowed to bully Aunt Evelynn anyway! I want you and Aunt Evelynn to be together."

lissa said with a very serious expression on her little face.
