Chapter 988: Chapter 988: Lost in the East Corner, Gained under the Mulberry Tree Chapter 988: Chapter 988: Lost in the East Corner, Gained under the Mulberry Tree Leaving the Governor’s Office, no one spoke. Mrs. Shen and Su Ningxiu felt indignant that Su Yunjin’s shop had been burned down, but when they saw the pitiful sight of the whole family, they also felt so reluctance.

Although Su Yunjin and Gu Ya initially suspected that the burning of Zuixiang Restaurant was a calculated act of sabotage, now all the evidence proved that the fire was indeed an accident.

The County Magistrate closed the case.

And that was the resolution of the Zuixiang Restaurant incident.

Originally, Su Ningxiu had said she would stay at Su Yunjin’s ho for a few more days, but after leaving the court, Su Ningxiu changed her mind on the spot.

Together with Mrs. Shen.

Su Ningxiu still returned to the Su Family.

Su Yunjin and Gu Ya went back to the Gu Family village, where Gu Ya poured a glass of water for his young wife. Suddenly, Su Yunjin felt nauseous and craved sothing sour. Gu Ya then grabbed a handful of sour plums for his young wife.

After eating two sour plums, Su Yunjin’s nausea noticeably eased, and after tending to his wife, Gu Ya poured a glass of water for himself to drink.

Su Yunjin took a property deed out of her bosom and placed it on the table. That was the deed the couple from the Oil Shop had compensated her with today at her request in the court.

Staring at the deed.

Su Yunjin pondered.

This ti, the fire at Zuixiang Restaurant made Su Yunjin think the shop was too small anyway, and she had been planning to find a larger one after the New Year.

Now it was just a matter of moving up the tiline for changing shops.

It wasn’t a big deal.

When it ca down to it, her losses weren’t too great; the valuable fruit wines in the shop were only left in small amounts.

As for other types of fruit wine, like loquat wine, green plum wine, and grape wine, which were priced low, they really couldn’t sell for much silver.

If one were to calculate the losses, the real loss was the plaque personally bestowed by the old Princess Consort, which had been burned. When it was first granted, the shop’s business improved by more than half because of that plaque. Now that it had been destroyed, Su Yunjin regretted it. If only the plaque given by Princess Rui had survived the fire.

As Su Yunjin thought about the plaque, as the saying goes, speak of the devil and he appears; just as she was contemplating the plaque, Princess Rui sent Lingling to the ho of the couple, Gu Ya and his wife.

Su Yunjin was delighted.

“Miss Lingling, how co you’re here?” Su Yunjin smiled and invited Lingling to sit inside the house. Lingling followed Su Yunjin into the main room. Su Yunjin offered to make tea for Lingling.

Yet Lingling smiled and declined, “Mrs. Su, please don’t bother yourself, I’ve co specifically to deliver a ssage from our Family Head.” After the plaque of Zuixiang Restaurant was burned, Gu Ya reported it to the Wang Residence. Upon learning of the fire and the destruction of the plaque, Princess Rui specially arranged for Lingling to co to Su Yunjin as a gesture of comfort.

“Mrs. Su, our Princess didn’t send with any special affairs today, just to let you know that whenever your Zuixiang Restaurant is rebuilt, go find her at the Prince Qi Residence. Then our Princess will personally bestow upon you a new plaque for Zuixiang Restaurant.”

Just as Su Yunjin was lanting the loss of the plaque, she had not expected that Princess Rui would especially send Lingling to tell her they would be given a new plaque for Zuixiang Restaurant.

This news was incredibly good for Su Yunjin.

It was wonderful!

With the plaque granted by Princess Rui to them, the losses from the fire at their shop were even less significant. Su Yunjin was overjoyed; this incident could be considered a blessing in disguise.
