Gu Ya nodded, “Mother, it’s true! That is exactly what happened.”
After her astonishnt, Mrs. An looked toward her much-loved eldest grandson, Gu Changshun, and like Gu Ya, she was extrely infuriated, repeatedly muttering, “Scoundrel, sinner, oh dear, this is truly sinful!”
“Mother, don’t listen to the nonsense of my Third Brother and his wife! Don’t you know what kind of person Changshun is? How could he possibly commit such a shaless act?” Mrs. Zhang still defended her son, staunchly disbelieving he would behave improperly toward Su Yunjin. She insisted that it was Gu Ya and his wife who had wronged her son.
