Su Yunjin sat in Gu Ya’s embrace while looking toward the yard, “My dear, I think I heard soone knocking outside.” Gu Ya heard it too.
He raised an eyebrow.
The knocking outside sounded again.
“Knock knock knock!”
Certain that there was soone outside, Gu Ya let go of his little wife and planned to go see, “Yunjin, wait here for . I’ll go and have a look.”
“My dear, I’ll co with you.” Su Yunjin was also curious who it could be. Who would visit them so late at night? She followed behind Gu Ya.

Upon opening the door,

“Borrow money?” Su Yunjin was sowhat surprised.
Before Su Yunjin could finish, Gu Jianghai hurriedly interjected, “Of course, Sister-in-law, if you and Big Brother are tight on money then forget about it!”
“Yes, yes, yes, we’ll think of another way.” Mrs. Chu nodded in agreent.
After her initial surprise, Su Yunjin asked Gu Jianghai and Mrs. Chu, “Fifth Brother, sister-in-law, may I know how much you intend to borrow from and my husband?” Su Yunjin was not short of money at the mont.
If Mrs. Chu and Gu Jianghai didn’t want to borrow much, then she had enough; if they wanted to borrow a large amount, Su Yunjin would have to consider what it was for.
She would decide depending on the circumstances.
“Three taels!”
Mrs. Chu needed a total of five taels of silver to rent the shop they had in mind; she and her husband had only two.
They were short of three taels.
Their visit to Su Yunjin today was to borrow those remaining three taels, “Sister-in-law, we’ve found a decent shop, my husband and I plan to rent it, but we are short of funds, lacking three taels.”

Her silver was locked in the room.
Upon hearing that Su Yunjin could lend them the money, Mrs. Chu and Gu Jianghai were both excited, “That’s great, that’s great; thank you so much, Big Brother and Sister-in-law.”
