Chapter 529: Chapter 529: Wedding Banquet Chapter 529: Chapter 529: Wedding Banquet Su Yunjin didn’t know that Gu Ya had gone out last night to take care of the matter for her, but she had a good night’s sleep regardless.

She slept comfortably until noon.

Gu Ya, on the other hand, woke up early as he always did at dawn, but he didn’t wake his little wife who was still asleep in the room.

Since his little wife had gone to bed late last night, he decided to let her sleep in a bit longer today to catch up on so rest. Besides, these past couple of days his little wife hadn’t had a good al because of the rumors.

Gu Ya planned to simr a pot of chicken soup, so when his little wife woke up, he could nourish her with it. Su Yunjin slled the fragrance of chicken soup.

As she opened her eyes, she saw Gu Ya coming in with the chicken soup. Gu Ya first placed the chicken soup on the table before turning to his still-lying, not-yet-roused little wife.

“Yunjin, I’ve simred so chicken soup for you. Co and eat it,” Gu Ya said. Having slept all night long, Su Yunjin was already hungry and, slling the aroma of the chicken soup, couldn’t wait to eat it.

Touching her belly, Su Yunjin looked expectantly at Gu Ya. “Husband, bring the chicken soup. I’ll eat it now,” she said. She would get up after eating.

The eagerness of his little wife amused Gu Ya. “Yunjin, the chicken soup has just been made and it’s still hot. You should get up first. It’ll cool down in a bit and won’t be too hot then.”

“Husband, I want to eat it now,” Su Yunjin whined, rubbing her small face. “Look, I’m so hungry I don’t have the energy to move. I can’t get up unless I have so chicken soup.”

Knowing full well that the little thing was pretending.

Gu Ya still went to get the chicken soup for his little wife. Su Yunjin lowered her hand and chuckled. “Husband, you just can’t bear to see hungry, can you?”

Gu Ya did not respond.

He scooped a spoonful of chicken soup and tasted it, finding it too hot, so he blew on it before feeding it to his little wife.

Su Yunjin stared at Gu Ya, dumbfounded.

How could she eat it after he had?

When the little wife didn’t eat, Gu Ya raised an eyebrow. “What’s the matter? Are you disgusted?” Last ti, she accidentally splashed him with foot-washing water, and he wasn’t disgusted by her. Yet, she dared to be disgusted by him?

Su Yunjin felt a twinge of guilt.

Not daring to admit, for fear of missing out on the chicken soup, Su Yunjin hurriedly ate the spoonful Gu Ya fed her. Gu Ya had made the chicken soup with pheasant.

The soup was exceptionally fragrant. After tasting it, Su Yunjin who was enjoying it asked Gu Ya for the bowl. “Husband, give it to . I’ll eat it myself.”

Gu Ya didn’t pass the bowl to his little wife yet, as the soup inside was still too hot. Seeing the little thing’s impatience, he thought she might burn herself if she were to drink it so eagerly.

Unhurriedly, Gu Ya scooped another spoonful of soup and brought it to his little wife. “Yunjin, when my leg wasn’t healed, you were always taking care of . Today, let take care of you for once.”

What was happening?

Gu Ya said he would take care of her?

Su Yunjin was a bit stunned.

“Yunjin, I will feed you the chicken soup,” Gu Ya stated quite clearly. Reluctantly, Su Yunjin agreed to let Gu Ya feed her.

It was a relief that after tasting the first spoonful for its flavor, Gu Ya didn’t sample the soup anymore when feeding her afterwards. He would just blow on the soup to cool it and then feed it to Su Yunjin.

While Su Yunjin was enjoying the chicken soup fed to her by Gu Ya, over at the Gu Family’s old house they were celebrating a joyous occasion. Gu Changshun was getting married, and the Gu Family had hosted over a dozen banquet tables. During the wedding ceremony, Wan Ruyan secretly lifted her head cover to look around the hall for Gu Ya.
