"Madam Qin, do you recognize this item?"
Su Yunjin stared at Madam Qin, replying with a question rather than an answer.
Madam Qin didn’t respond, but instead looked at Su Yunjin and asked, "Su sister, could it be that you are also...?" She didn’t finish her sentence, but Su Yunjin had already confird her suspicion.
"That’s right, I am!" Su Yunjin looked directly at Madam Qin and nodded.
Madam Qin looked at Su Yunjin with surprise, first shocked, then delighted, "Su sister, wonderful, wonderful, I didn’t expect you to also be... I thought I was the only one different in this place! Now with you, sister, we’ll have an easier ti talking in the future."
"Madam Qin, to be frank, ever since I first saw you, I’ve felt a special closeness to you. At the ti, I didn’t know why I had such feelings, but now I think it’s because we co from the sa place, so when I see you, I have that kind of reaction!" Su Yunjin said with a smile.
Madam Qin suddenly grabbed Su Yunjin’s hands, "Su sister, let’s refer to each other as sisters from now on. Don’t call Madam Qin, it sounds too formal. I’m a few years older than you, so you can call elder sister, and I’ll call you younger sister!"
"Alright!" Su Yunjin had the sa intention, smiled at Madam Qin, nodded, and called out, "Elder sister!"
"Younger sister!" Madam Qin looked at Su Yunjin, her tone sowhat excited. She hadn’t expected to et another modern person here. In fact, Madam Qin had previously suspected Su Yunjin’s identity. The many things Su Yunjin knew made Madam Qin suspect she too was a modern person, especially when she saw Su Yunjin make tomato sauce, sothing she’d only had in the modern world — how did Su Yunjin know how to make it?
At the ti, Madam Qin voiced her doubts, and Su Yunjin casually explained a few things, which didn’t completely dispel Madam Qin’s doubts but kept her from dwelling on the matter. Thus, the tomato sauce incident passed, and Madam Qin didn’t think much more about it.
Later, once at the Qin Residence, Su Yunjin’s reaction to hot pot again raised Madam Qin’s suspicions. But suspicion was all she had, and she didn’t ask Su Yunjin about it, until today when she saw the cake Su Yunjin made, confirming her guess.
Su Yunjin made a delicate cake in a food box, exactly like the ones sold in modern stores, with cream and chocolate; such a cake was impossible for people in ancient tis to make, even Madam Qin herself couldn’t.
Seeing the cake, Madam Qin’s first reaction was surprise. She had been here for five or six years; though in modern tis she often saw cakes and sotis bought a piece to eat, in ancient tis, it was her first ti seeing a modern-style cake.
Suddenly seeing the cake on the table, Madam Qin couldn’t help but feel very excited. After arriving in this place, Madam Qin seldom ca into contact with modern things. Though she had a husband and children here, her husband cared for her, and the children were beautiful and smart, Madam Qin was content living here. But occasionally, when bored and daydreaming, she couldn’t help but think of the era she used to live in.
Thinking about everything connected to her from that ti. She wondered what had happened there after she ca here?
