Perhaps it was Madam Qin’s personal instruction; the dishes ca quickly—spicy crab, stead bass, salt and pepper roasted shrimp, garlic snails. Each and every dish was a tempting seafood delight, making Su Yunjin’s stomach growl as soon as she saw them.
Eager to taste the delicacies on the table, Little Tangtang wanted shrimp. Madam Qin peeled shrimp for Little Tangtang while cheerfully urging Su Yunjin and Gu Ya to eat.
"Sister Su, Young Master Gu, the fish and shrimp on the table are best eaten hot. Please eat up, don’t be shy."
Gu Ya had already noticed his young wife’s desire to eat crab, so he picked one up with his chopsticks and placed it in her bowl.
Su Yunjin indeed wanted to try the spicy crab first. Seeing that Gu Ya had given her one, she set down her chopsticks, which she had been about to use, and started to peel the crab in her bowl.
The spicy crab was incredibly well-prepared—fragrant and spicy, with particularly plump crabs filled with rich roe. The especially abundant crab roe brought Su Yunjin great satisfaction with each bite.
As she finished one crab, a waiter from the restaurant brought over more dishes.

"Aunt Su, Tangtang loves chicken wings and braised eggs the most." Little Tangtang’s mouth was still stuffed with the shrimp at Madam Qin had fed her, causing her cheeks to puff adorably as she spoke.
Su Yunjin smiled as she watched the waiter place a dish of sesa chicken wings and a plate of braised tiger-skin eggs on the table.
Then more dishes were brought over one after another: honey-barbecued ribs, lemon-pickled spicy chicken feet, olette rice, at-filled buns, and shredded chicken cold noodles, gradually filling up the table.
As the dishes covered the table, Su Yunjin was left wide-eyed and astonished to see that so of these dishes were ones she had eaten in the modern era.
Especially the olette rice; apart from having it in modern tis, this was her first ti eating it in ancient tis.
Instinctively, Su Yunjin turned her gaze to Madam Qin. Could it be that Madam Qin was from the sa place as she was?
Su Yunjin had considered this possibility before. The last ti she ate a hot pot at Madam Qin’s house, she had the sa suspicion.
The hot pot at Madam Qin’s table was exactly like the hot pot she had eaten in modern tis. What’s more, the dipping sauces and chili dishes Madam Qin prepared were exactly as she had tasted in the modern age and even more complete than what she had before.
The broth was also delicious, with options for both spicy and non-spicy. The non-spicy one used old hen stock and was very fresh, while the spicy one was extraordinarily hot, packed with plenty of dried red chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns, making just one bite turn your face red.
Back then, Su Yunjin, although suspicious, didn’t think much of it; she figured it might just be a coincidence and soon forgot about it due to her busy schedule. Now, seeing the olette rice on the table, her doubts resurfaced.
Madam Qin, noticing Su Yunjin staring at her blankly, smiled while spooning soup to Little Tangtang and casually asked.
"Sister Su, what’s the matter? Is there sothing you want to ask ?"
Snapping back to reality, Su Yunjin hurriedly replied, "No... nothing."
Since she wasn’t sure, Su Yunjin didn’t dare to ask Madam Qin rashly.
Madam Qin smiled again and invited Su Yunjin and Gu Ya to eat, while Su Yunjin enjoyed the delicious dishes on the table, her doubts growing ever larger.
