Chapter 2029: Chapter 2029: Returning to the Old Pasture

Su Yunjin stood by and laughed, never expecting her daughter would sit on Gu Ya’s face.

Gu Ya also didn’t expect to wake up with his daughter sitting on his face.

The little wife next to him laughed happily, while Gu Ya first lifted Little Tiangua off his face, then turned his gaze to the little wife.

“Yun Niang, co over!” Gu Ya’s voice was a bit lazy, still hoarse after just waking up; his expression didn’t seem angry, but Su Yunjin, having done sothing wrong, didn’t dare to approach him imdiately.

Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya without moving, as Gu Ya repeated himself.

“Yun Niang, co here.” As Gu Ya spoke he was already sitting up, holding Little Tiangua in his arms.

Little Tiangua squird on her father’s body, while Gu Ya protectively held her to prevent her from falling, and beckoned with his other hand for Su Yunjin to co over.

Su Yunjin certainly wouldn’t approach Gu Ya right now, pretending to laugh excessively, “Hubby, I’m a bit thirsty, I’ll go pour a cup of water. By the way, are you thirsty? Shall I pour you a cup too?”

“No need!” Gu Ya’s voice was nearly squeezed out from between his teeth. His handso face darkened.

Knowing Gu Ya was angry, Su Yunjin noticed the change in his expression and secretly felt glad she hadn’t gone over earlier.

Even though she was acting, since she had already spoken, Su Yunjin still pretended to go pour a cup of water.

The water on the table was cold. Su Yunjin found the perfect excuse to slip away.

“Hubby, there’s no water in the room. I’ll go to the kitchen to get so.”

Su Yunjin grabbed the teapot and cup and ran away, leaving Gu Ya in the room with his handso face looking even worse.

There were maids in the residence, so matters like adding tea and pouring water didn’t actually require Su Yunjin to do it herself. However, Su Yunjin felt guilty for her wrongdoing, and to avoid Gu Ya, she decided to do it herself.

Su Yunjin ran outside, not expecting Aunt Bao to co over.

“Madam, Aunt Liang is here. She wants to see you.” Aunt Bao was approached by Aunt Liang who said she wanted to see the lady. When Aunt Liang insisted on leaving, Aunt Bao was actually upset with her, but since the two had coexisted for several months, there was still a bond.

Unable to resist Aunt Liang’s pleading, Aunt Bao agreed to help relay the ssage.

As for whether the lady would see her, Aunt Bao made no promises to Aunt Liang.

Aunt Bao first had Aunt Liang taken to the side hall before coming to the inner courtyard to find Su Yunjin.

Su Yunjin was stunned upon hearing Aunt Liang had co, then curiously asked, “Why has she co?”

Since Aunt Liang left last ti, Su Yunjin hadn’t seen her again. Today, with Aunt Liang suddenly showing up, Su Yunjin was understandably surprised.

Aunt Bao said, “Madam, Aunt Liang said it was her mistake to leave last ti. She wants to co back to serve you, and hopes you can give her another chance.”

Aunt Liang’s intention was to return to work at the Gu Residence.

After leaving Su Yunjin’s house, Aunt Liang found several other jobs, but none were as good as working at Su Yunjin’s house. Not only was her work there not tiring, but the masters were kind and respectful, especially since the monthly pay was higher than at other places.

The other jobs Aunt Liang found couldn’t compare to Su Yunjin’s, as not only were the masters demanding, but the monthly pay wasn’t high either.

Regretting her decision, Aunt Liang wanted to return to work at Su Yunjin’s house. In Yangcheng, Aunt Liang heard that Zuixiang Restaurant’s business was booming, and now most of the city’s taverns were using Zuixiang Restaurant’s wine, making her even more eager to return.

“Madam, Aunt Liang is waiting in the side hall now, will you go see her?”
