Capítulo 1988: Chapter 1988: Excitent

Mrs. An, having decided to find a concubine for her son, began the search.

Now, everyone knew that Zuixiang Restaurant was the largest tavern in town. Upon hearing that Mrs. An wanted to choose a concubine for Gu Ya, many people eagerly sent their daughters to her.

Mrs. An selected a few whose looks and figures were outstanding, believing that no man would dislike those she chose.

Her son Gu Ya was also a man. No matter how much he liked Su Yunjin, after a long period, any couple would grow tired of each other; unlike these attractive new faces that entice.

Joyfully, Mrs. An noted down the nas of the girls she had chosen, planning to send them to the Gu Residence once her son Gu Ya agreed.

Mrs. An knew that Gu Ya’s father would surely not approve of this; so her plans to find a concubine for Gu Ya were all carried out in secrecy, behind Gu Chengxiang’s back.

These days, even though Gu Chengxiang noticed Mrs. An leaving early and returning late, he found it strange but did not question her further.

Once the number of concubines for Gu Ya was confird, Mrs. An decided to sound out her son’s thoughts today, to see what he ant.

Mrs. An knew her son’s heart was wholly set on Su Yunjin now, and he mostly wouldn’t agree to taking a concubine. So Mrs. An wasn’t in a hurry; she could take her ti.

Today, Su Yunjin accompanied Gu Ya to the Prince Ning Residence.

Gu Ya had gone to et Prince Ning, while Su Yunjin waited in the side hall with tea.

Originally, Su Yunjin had intended to visit the Commandery Princess today, but she wasn’t there. So Su Yunjin could only sit in the side hall and wait for Gu Ya.

Su Yunjin had a piece of dessert at Prince Ning’s, but it wasn’t very good—sticky and overly sweet.

Su Yunjin didn’t like it and stopped eating from the table.

Bored, Su Yunjin sat there waiting for Gu Ya; fortunately, it wasn’t long before Gu Ya ca to find her.

“Husband!” Seeing Gu Ya, Su Yunjin ran over joyfully.

Prince Ning followed behind Gu Ya. Seeing Prince Ning, Su Yunjin politely greeted him.

“Greetings, Your Highness.”

Prince Ning nodded, and Gu Ya said, “Yunnian, Prince Ning still has matters to attend to, let’s leave now!”

Su Yunjin left with Gu Ya from Prince Ning’s, and as soon as they were outside, Su Yunjin couldn’t wait to ask.

“Husband, how was it? What did Prince Ning say? Did things go smoothly?” Su Yunjin looked nervously at Gu Ya.

Seeing his little wife full of curiosity, Gu Ya didn’t answer directly but wrapped her hand in his and continued walking forward.

“Yunnian, let’s discuss it in the carriage.”

Once in the carriage, Su Yunjin asked Gu Ya again, “Husband, can you tell now?”

“Yunnian, Prince Ning just told that Prince Rui wrote to say that everything in Jincheng is under our control. The Emperor has reclaid the fief from Prince Chu, who has thus gone to Jincheng.”

The first step in the plan devised by Gu Ya and Prince Ning was successfully completed, and the second step was unfolding bit by bit according to their plan.

Su Yunjin looked happily at Gu Ya, “Husband, does this an your plan is about to succeed?”

“Yes!” Gu Ya nodded at his little wife, his gaze softening.

Delighted, Su Yunjin embraced Gu Ya, resting her small head against his chest.

That’s wonderful.

If Prince Chu is sent to Xiangcheng by the Emperor this ti, their threat would be entirely eliminated.

Prince Chu would no longer have the chance to plot against her.

Perhaps from happiness, Su Yunjin’s cheeks were flushed.

As soon as the couple returned to the residence, they discovered a few unfamiliar won in the house.
