The nourishing products Su Yunjin sent to her second sister Su Ningxiu last ti have all been eaten.
Wang ng ca over to get more, so Su Yunjin prepared so for him again.

To pass the ti, she was making small clothes and shoes for the baby.

"It’s beautiful, it’s beautiful." Su Yunjin held the small clothes to have a closer look, and then said, "Second sister, you’ve got such skillful hands. I could never make these."
Su Ningxiu teased Su Yunjin with a smile.
"Little sister, you have maids and embroideresses at your ho. What do you need to make by yourself? Just give an order and it will be done."
Su Yunjin ignored her second sister’s teasing and put down the needle and thread in her hand. She then looked at Su Ningxiu’s belly.
Last ti she saw her second sister, there wasn’t any noticeable pregnancy. Now, she could see the slight bulge of her second sister’s tiny belly.
Su Yunjin placed her hand on it.
Su Ningxiu chuckled, "Little sister, it’s still early days. What can you feel?"
On the table, there were candied fruits, of the sweet variety.
Su Ningxiu picked one up to eat, and then asked Su Yunjin if she wanted to try one.
"Little sister, want to eat?" Su Ningxiu held one out to Su Yunjin.
She rembered her second sister didn’t like sour flavors. Su Yunjin tasted the candied fruit.
Indeed, it was very sweet!
After Su Yunjin beca pregnant, she craved sweets, while Su Ningxiu didn’t care much for sour things. The sour treats Su Yunjin brought last ti, Su Ningxiu hadn’t eaten any yet and had put them away.
Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu chatted inside the room, while Wang ng was in the kitchen preparing so food for the sisters.
Gu Ya returned ho after being busy all day, only to find his wife wasn’t there.
Aunt Bao said that his wife had gone to visit her second sister.
Since his wife wasn’t ho, Gu Ya decided to go to the study.
During the ti in the study, Gu Ya called soone to bring him tea.
Usually, the maid would leave after serving the tea, but today the maid stayed nearby and didn’t leave.

He looked up at the maid beside him and for the first ti noticed she was unfamiliar.
It was his first ti seeing her.
"Who are you?" Gu Ya asked, his tone a bit displeased.
The maid initially seed a little scared but quickly forced herself to remain calm as she explained to Gu Ya.
"Sir, I am Qiangqiang, originally from the laundry in the backyard. Today, since Qiaoqiao from the study fell sick with a cold, I ca to take her place."
