“Hmm!” Su Yunjin nodded while looking at Gu Ya.
She did want to ask Gu Ya about Linglong. Su Yunjin wanted to know if Gu Ya was also involved in this matter. Why hadn’t Gu Ya said a word to her at the ti?
Su Yunjin didn’t want to be kept in the dark. If she hadn’t known before, then so be it. But now that she knew, Su Yunjin wanted to understand everything clearly.
Gu Ya knew his little wife’s temperant. He knew that once she wanted to know sothing, she wouldn’t rest until she found it out. Gu Ya no longer planned to hide it from his little wife. Ever since he introduced Linglong’s identity to her, Gu Ya had decided to simply explain the matter to his little wife, so she could understand the whole story.
“Yunnian, back then, the King of Chu was planning to abduct you. To confuse them, the Duke of Ning arranged for Miss Linglong, who has a similar build to yours, to temporarily stay at our house in substitution. That night, on the very evening after I had sent you to the mountain, the King of Chu’s n ca to our house to abduct you. It was on that night that Miss Linglong was taken away by the King of Chu’s people in your place.”
Su Yunjin was completely stunned.
She couldn’t believe that the King of Chu had abducted Linglong on the very night of her escape to the mountain. If she had been ho at the ti, she would likely have been the one abducted.
And at this mont, Su Yunjin had to marvel at Gu Ya’s ability. Gu Ya was truly impressive; right after he let her leave, the King of Chu had arranged for soone to co to their house to take her.
Su Yunjin asked Gu Ya, “Husband, I’ve already taken the two children and hidden away. Even if the King of Chu’s people ca to our house, they wouldn’t find . Why did you and the Duke of Ning still arrange for Linglong to take my place?” Su Yunjin’s eyes were filled with confusion and puzzlent.
After a mont of silence.
Gu Ya explained.
“Yunnian, the person that the Duke of Ning had placed by the King of Chu’s side said that the King of Chu was determined to take you away this ti. If he didn’t succeed, he wouldn’t leave town so easily.”
Following Gu Ya’s words, Su Yunjin continued, “So, husband, you and the Duke of Ning arranged for Linglong to replace , so that when the King of Chu’s people ca, they would take her instead?” Su Yunjin analyzed as she looked at Gu Ya.
Gu Ya nodded, “That’s right. The Duke of Ning and I arranged for Linglong to take your place to hasten the King of Chu’s departure from town and to reduce the danger to you and the children as soon as possible.”
“Husband, why didn’t you tell about this?” Gu Ya managed to do so much back then, yet he didn’t tell her any of it?
Gu Ya said, “Yunnian, I had everything planned out.”
“Husband, was it precisely because you had everything planned out that you didn’t plan to tell ?” Su Yunjin stared at Gu Ya. Gu Ya did not deny it.
That was exactly how Gu Ya thought.
And that’s what he did.
Su Yunjin suddenly felt a bit aggrieved. Gu Ya was like this; as long as he thought sothing was right, he would rather keep it from her than tell her.
Seeing the little wife unhappy, Gu Ya sighed and said, “Yunnian, since telling you these things would only make you worry.” After a pause, Gu Ya added, “I didn’t want you to worry.”
Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya, a bit dazed.
But Gu Ya pulled his little wife into his embrace.
Slling the familiar, comforting scent of Gu Ya, Su Yunjin also wrapped her arms around Gu Ya’s waist and buried her head in his chest, her voice muffled.
“Fool!”
