"Yun Niang!"

Gu Ya wanted to walk over to Su Yunjin, but he found that the woman beside him seed to be unsteady. Afraid that the woman might fall, Gu Ya had to continue supporting her.

Su Yunjin walked in, and the woman glanced at Su Yunjin. Before she could speak, a mouthful of foul blood suddenly spurted from her mouth. Fortunately, Su Yunjin dodged in ti, almost getting splashed by the blood. The woman looked at Su Yunjin apologetically upon seeing that the blood she spat out was black.

Su Yunjin stared at the woman and asked, "Are you poisoned?" Su Yunjin, skilled in dicine, observed the woman’s pale face and bluish lips, confirming her suspicion of poisoning.

Gu Ya helped the woman to sit on a nearby bench. The woman weakly nodded at Su Yunjin. Curious about the woman’s identity, Su Yunjin turned her gaze to Gu Ya.

After Gu Ya helped the woman sit down, he introduced her identity to his wife, "Yun Niang, this young woman is Linglong, a female guard from the Prince Ning Residence." Linglong was not only skilled in martial arts but also adept with poisons. In the Donglin estates, besides highly skilled shadow guards, female guards also possessed extraordinary abilities.

The female guards were graceful and talented, able to achieve tasks many n found difficult. This was the reason why royal estates would keep female guards.

Su Yunjin had considered many guesses but never thought the woman would be a female guard from the Prince Ning Residence. She recalled that Gu Ya had gone to the Prince Ning Residence early that morning, having said that the prince needed him. Could it be that the prince called Gu Ya for this female shadow guard?

Several questions instantly arose in Su Yunjin’s mind.

Knowing his wife’s curiosity about Linglong’s identity, Gu Ya further explained, "Yun Niang, back then, Linglong was assigned by Prince Ning to impersonate you. At that ti, you were hiding in the mountains, and the people of Prince Chu, unaware that you had left, mistakenly captured Linglong as if she were you." Initially, Gu Ya had not planned to tell his wife about this incident.

Now that Linglong appeared in their ho and was poisoned, Gu Ya feared his wife would overthink things, so he disclosed the truth without hiding it any longer.

Su Yunjin was shocked imdiately.

"Husband, are you saying that Linglong once impersonated and was kidnapped by Prince Chu?" Su Yunjin stared at Gu Ya in disbelief, never knowing that Prince Ning had arranged for soone to pretend to be her and was then captured.

Having regained so strength by now, Linglong weakly addressed Su Yunjin, "Madam Gu, I ca today under Prince Ning’s orders to inform you and Mr. Gu that Prince Chu and his n have returned to their territory. Now, their land is overrun by bandits, leaving Prince Chu too occupied with his troubles to return or have the leisure to plot against you and Mr. Gu."

Outside, Madam Bao heard this and felt a wave of guilt. It seed she had indeed misunderstood the young master and that woman. It turned out the woman was a female guard from the Prince Ning Residence and had once helped the young master and his wife. Earlier, she had wronged her outside out of misunderstanding.

Madam Bao regretted privately.

If only she had clarified the truth first.

Now things have beco more complicated.

Linglong rose to her feet, "Madam Gu, Mr. Gu, I have delivered my ssage, and now it’s ti for to return to the Prince Ning Residence."

As Linglong got up to leave, Su Yunjin quickly stepped forward to support her.

"Miss Linglong, you are so weak, why don’t you rest a bit longer before leaving!"
