Gu Ya packed his things and went to Yangcheng, while Su Yunjin accompanied Mrs. Shen and her second sister back to the Su Family. As for the two children, Su Yunjin considered that the Su Family would be too noisy today with so many people. If she brought the children back, they definitely wouldn’t be able to rest well, affecting their dayti sleep, so Su Yunjin decided to leave them at ho.

Aunt Bao and Aunt An are taking care of the children, which makes Su Yunjin feel at ease. Additionally, she also told Xue Chu and Hong Wu to stay at the Gu Family, so with two more n around, Su Yunjin was even less worried.

Her elder brother’s engagent had been settled, and her second sister was very cheerful, laughing and chatting all the way. Su Yunjin thought about how her elder brother might still have lingering feelings for Xiao Yu, and couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

"Little sister, I think the Gu Family girl marrying our elder brother is just perfect. Much better than that Xiao girl. Back then, elder brother was practically blind to have taken a liking to that Xiao woman." Even now, ntioning Xiao Yu’s na, Su Ningxiu still felt sowhat angry.

Su Yunjin chuckled.

"Second sister, don’t ntion this anymore. Today is brother and Guo girl’s engagent day. If soone from the Guo Family accidentally hears what you said, wouldn’t it be bad?"

Su Ningxiu instinctively covered her mouth with her hand, and faced Su Yunjin’s teasing expression. Realizing this, she imdiately laughed, "Little sister, we’re in the carriage now and the Guo Family isn’t here. How could they possibly hear what I’m saying?"

Su Yunjin also laughed.

Wang ng was driving the carriage outside, hearing the words of the young wives inside, and happily pulled the reins, causing the carriage to speed up suddenly.

Perhaps because the Su Family was having a joyous occasion, everyone’s face was filled with happiness. Especially the second sister, so happy she could hardly contain herself. Su Yunjin had brought gifts today, prepared earlier, just waiting for her elder brother’s matter to be settled before giving them out.

Now that her elder brother and Guo girl’s engagent was officially settled, she could finally hand out her gifts. The carriage soon arrived at the Su Family, and it was bustling inside and out. With the Su Family’s joyous occasion, everyone ca to enjoy the celebratory sweets and share in the joy. Su Yunjin saw several children from Su village chasing each other in the yard, each holding a piece of candy in their hands.

Su Yunjin saw the children happy—truly, children are easily satisfied. A few candies can bring them imnse joy. Adults, however, are different. Adults want many things, and the more they want, the harder it is to satisfy them.

Mrs. Shen was cooking in the kitchen. Upon hearing Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu had arrived, she wiped her hands and ca out, "Yunjin, Xiuxiu, you’re here?"

"Mom, where’s brother?" As soon as Su Ningxiu arrived, she was looking for Su Muze, searching all around, but didn’t see Su Muze in the yard.

Mrs. Shen smiled gently, "Xiuxiu, isn’t that your brother over there?" She pointed behind Su Ningxiu. Instinctively turning around, Su Ningxiu imdiately saw her elder brother and Guo girl walking in from outside.

"Brother, sister-in-law." Su Ningxiu squinted her eyes, smiling while staring at Guo Qiulan. Today the two families were formally engaged, and Guo Qiulan was dressed in festive red, looking very bright and cheerful. Being stared at like this by Su Ningxiu, Guo Qiulan, not officially married yet, suddenly appeared a bit shy.

Mrs. Shen gently scolded Su Ningxiu, "Xiuxiu, what nonsense are you saying? Your brother and Guo girl aren’t married yet. How can you casually call her by that title?" Mrs. Shen, considering Guo Qiulan’s feelings, pretended to chastise Su Ningxiu.
