Chapter 1773: Chapter 1773: Take Off Your Clothes

“Younger sister, isn’t it supposed to be the Magistrate who judges the case? Why is it that Ning Wang is personally involved?” After feeling relieved, Su Ningxiu quickly had questions again.

The reason Ning Wang was involved was because Gu Ya went to seek his help, and it was only then that Ning Wang intervened. Su Yunjin didn’t know what thod Gu Ya used to persuade Ning Wang, so when Su Ningxiu asked this question, Su Yunjin instinctively looked towards Gu Ya, waiting for his explanation.

Following Su Yunjin’s gaze, Su Ningxiu also directed her gaze towards Gu Ya. Wang ng asked, “Brother-in-law, was it you who went to find Ning Wang?”

Wang ng knew a bit about the acquaintance between Gu Ya and Ning Wang, so it was natural for Wang ng to associate it with the connection between Gu Ya and Ning Wang.

“Yes, I indeed went to see Ning Wang,” Gu Ya nodded. However, Gu Ya only acknowledged that he had visited Ning Wang; he clearly had no intention of further explanation.

Having known Gu Ya for over a decade, Wang ng understood his character well; since Gu Ya didn’t want to speak about it, it ant he didn’t want to talk, and Wang ng tactfully stopped asking. With Ning Wang’s help in the matter, there was surely no surprise. Miss Leng plotted against his younger sister, and Ning Wang would certainly handle the matter impartially and grant justice to his younger sister and brother-in-law.

Wang ng, being a man, didn’t have the ticulous thoughts of his little wife, Su Ningxiu. Once assured that Leng Jingxian would be severely punished by Ning Wang, and that his younger sister and brother-in-law were no longer in danger, Wang ng stopped worrying about the matter. Su Ningxiu continued to question Su Yunjin about the case, which Su Yunjin mostly answered, casually brushing off only a few questions.

With the Wangji Rice Shop’s business doing well, Wang ng, having figured out the truth, and knowing his younger sister and brother-in-law didn’t need any help, decided to return to his rice shop to work. After sitting in Su Yunjin’s house for a while, Wang ng left. Su Ningxiu originally wanted to stay longer to chat with her younger sister, but Wang ng found a pretext and took her away as well.

Finally, when her second elder sister and brother-in-law left, Su Yunjin felt sowhat tired, and once back in the room, she collapsed onto the bed, “Husband, I’m going to nap for a bit. Can you check if Little Tiangua and Little Yuanbao have woken up?” Su Yunjin hadn’t yet seen the two little ones today after returning from the courthouse.

Since Gu Ya was ho, she asked him to check. Gu Ya sat down by the bed; though his little wife asked him to see the children, he did not go. Instead, he leaned forward, touching his forehead to hers, his voice gentle and low, “Yun-niang, are you tired?” As soon as she ca back, his little wife started yawning, clearly exhausted.

Su Yunjin closed her eyes, not opening them, and unconsciously embraced Gu Ya’s waist, her voice slightly drowsy as though she had just woken up.

“Mm, a bit sleepy.” Even though Su Yunjin had slept well last night, she was inexplicably very tired after returning from the courthouse. Gu Ya touched his little wife’s forehead with his hand, “Yun-niang, are you feeling unwell anywhere?” Gu Ya’s voice was concerned, as her forehead seed hotter than usual.

Su Yunjin didn’t feel sick, just a bit sleepy. “Husband, I’m fine, just need to lie down a bit.” Snuggling her little head into Gu Ya’s embrace, Su Yunjin felt even sleepier, lulled by his comforting scent.

Gu Ya frowned.

His little wife was lying down without taking off her clothes and shoes—how could she sleep like this?

“Yun-niang, be good, get up and take off your clothes.”
