Chapter 1727: Chapter 1727: Mastermind

“Sister-in-law, King Chu indeed isn’t the master of that group of assassins.”

This ti it was Prince Ning who spoke. Su Yunjin looked at Prince Ning, and Gu Ya continued, “Yunjin, yesterday that group of assassins was completely captured by King Chu’s people and handed over to Prince Ning. Those people are now detained in the dungeon of the Prince Ning Residence. Today, the Prince has already interrogated them. Although they haven’t fully confessed who ordered them to assassinate you, both the Prince and I are certain that those people are definitely not under King Chu.”

If those people were under King Chu, he wouldn’t have handed them over to Prince Ning for disposal. Also, both Gu Ya and Prince Ning have received solid information that King Chu was seriously injured by those people yesterday. If they were all his subordinates, how would they dare to injure King Chu so severely?

Both Prince Ning and Gu Ya confird today that that batch of assassins wasn’t from King Chu. However, who is truly behind these assassins remains unknown. Up to now, Prince Ning and Gu Ya have not been able to extract the truth during interrogation. The assassins are tough, and despite various punishnts, they refuse to confess.

Fearing that further torture might kill the assassins, Prince Ning temporarily halted the interrogation and locked them back in the dungeon. Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya and Prince Ning in surprise. She had assud King Chu was the mastermind behind the assassins, yet it turned out that King Chu really had little connection to them.

“Brother Gu, even if King Chu isn’t closely related to the assassins, the people who ca today were indeed sent by King Chu. This is a fact,” Xue Chu said angrily, clenching his fist.

Hong Wu followed, “Young master, today the people sent by King Chu tried to take the madam, and both I and Xue Chu were poisoned by them.” The poison used by Wang Mang was known to Prince Ning’s n, and Prince Ning had the antidote. Prince Ning signaled with his eyes to the attendant beside him, and the man imdiately stepped forward, took out a porcelain bottle, and handed it to Gu Ya, “Master Gu, the antidote is in this bottle. Quickly give it to these young brothers to take!”

Gu Ya took the porcelain bottle, casually opened it, and poured a pill for Xue Chu. Then he did the sa for Hong Wu. After taking the dicine, Xue Chu quickly regained so strength, as did Hong Wu. Besides Xue Chu and Hong Wu, a dozen other people were also poisoned, so Gu Ya continued to feed the antidote to the others.

Those who took the antidote recovered in turn. Gu Ya walked over and returned the porcelain bottle to Prince Ning’s attendant. Su Yunjin said, “Husband, Prince Ning is an honored guest, so we shouldn’t stand outside. Let’s invite Prince Ning inside to sit!” Saying this, Su Yunjin turned to instruct Aunt Bao to prepare tea and snacks.

Receiving the order, Aunt Bao swiftly ran back to the courtyard. Gu Ya also politely invited Prince Ning inside. Seeing that although everyone had been detoxified, they were still injured, Su Yunjin rembered there was so wound ointnt left in the house. She decided to take it out and distribute it to everyone, so they could apply it to their wounds.

With Gu Ya taking care of Prince Ning, Su Yunjin wasn’t worried about neglecting their guest. Gu Ya invited Prince Ning to have tea in the main hall, and Su Yunjin delivered ointnt to Xue Chu and the others. Aunt Bao returned, telling her that Gu Ya wanted her to go to the main hall. Su Yunjin nodded and walked towards the hall. Once inside, she discovered that both Gu Ya and Prince Ning seed to be waiting for her, as if they had sothing to ask.

“Yunjin, co over.” Gu Ya spoke up. Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya and obediently walked over to sit beside him.
