Chapter 1700: Chapter 1701 Admitting Mistakes

“What else, what else…” Su Yunjin tried hard to think about why Gu Ya was angry. But after a long ti, Su Yunjin still couldn’t figure out what she had done to make Gu Ya upset.

Today, she had privately left the Gu Family, which was the reason why Gu Ya was so angry. She had already admitted to this mistake, so what else did Gu Ya want her to confess?

As Su Yunjin was puzzling over it, Gu Ya suddenly let out a sigh, with eyes showing helplessness and indulgence, “Yunjin, listen to , never make worry again.” Gu Ya was a man who never feared anything, not even when he fell off the mountain and broke both his legs. But when it ca to matters related to his little wife, Gu Ya would lose his composure, fearing anything might happen to the woman in his arms.

Under the oil lamp, Gu Ya’s handso face appeared exceptionally gentle, completely shedding the cold and angry deanor from earlier. Su Yunjin obediently nodded at Gu Ya, “Husband, I understand. I won’t do anything to make you worry anymore.” In Gu Ya’s embrace, Su Yunjin was being extrely well-behaved.

Holding the little wife in his arms, Gu Ya’s anger had mostly faded away. As long as the woman in his arms was safe, everything else didn’t matter.

Su Yunjin quietly leaned against Gu Ya for a while, then suddenly lifted her head with a justified expression, “Husband, actually, I went out today for an important reason. Besides, I succeeded in it.” Su Yunjin’s eyes sparkled as she spoke.

Feeling sowhat proud, Su Yunjin didn’t realize that Gu Ya’s face was growing darker. He had thought the little woman truly knew her mistake, but it seed he was wrong.

“Yunjin, do you need my praise?” Gu Ya’s voice was squeezed out almost through his teeth, and Su Yunjin quickly sensed sothing was amiss.

She shook her head hurriedly, “No… No need!” Seeing Gu Ya’s handso face turn dark again, Su Yunjin felt a chill down her back.

However, Su Yunjin still mustered up the courage to explain, “Husband, here’s the thing, didn’t you tell Prince Ning would find evidence today proving Leng Jingxian poisoned Little Tiangua? I suddenly thought of soone during the day, soone who could likely serve as a witness to prove Leng Jingxian’s poisoning. So…”

“So, you went out without listening to ?” Gu Ya continued her words, his tone hard to discern whether it was happy or angry. Yet Su Yunjin could clearly see from Gu Ya’s expression that he was very upset.

Especially the way he looked at her, chillingly. If looks could devour people, Su Yunjin felt she would have been devoured by Gu Ya several tis over, pulverized and mashed up before being consud.

Su Yunjin silently stepped back a bit, guiltily nodding at Gu Ya, feeling the cold aura emanating from him beco even chillier as she attempted to defend herself once more.

“Husband, I was helping you gather evidence as well, and after my investigation, Shopkeeper Wu can indeed verify that the person who poisoned was Leng Jingxian and her servants. Leng Jingxian and her servants bribed him to place the toxic vines into the herbs that mother gave to Little Tiangua.” Su Yunjin finished in one breath, seeing Gu Ya remain silent, she assud he didn’t believe her.

Su Yunjin further said, “Husband, I’m telling the truth. If you don’t believe , you can ask Xue Chu and Hong Wu, they all…” Su Yunjin hadn’t finished her sentence when she was suddenly pulled into Gu Ya’s arms, looking at him in a daze, “Husband, I—!”

“Yunjin, rember, nothing is as important as you.” The investigation was his responsibility; he would handle it and didn’t need his little wife to worry.
