Su Yunjin gave Gu Ya another playful kiss, but Gu Ya left without telling her, making Su Yunjin’s eyes widen in frustration. Gu Ya laughed heartily as he left.

So infuriating.

Thinking of how Gu Ya teased her, Su Yunjin angrily tugged at the stool in front of her. As a result, because she used too much force, the stool toppled over, and Su Yunjin grimaced in pain.

"Hiss—!" That really hurts.

Su Yunjin looked down at her foot, regretting her impulsive actions. Little Tiangua woke up after a short nap, and upon realizing this, Su Yunjin hurriedly went to check on the child.

After applying dicine to Little Tiangua yesterday, the red marks on the child’s arm had faded quite a bit. However, it still looked a bit red, and Su Yunjin felt a twinge of heartache as she held Little Tiangua’s arm.

Taking out the dicine, Su Yunjin decided to apply it once more to Little Tiangua. The cooling ointnt felt pleasant on the skin, and Little Tiangua continued to smile as Su Yunjin applied it.

It seed the child enjoyed it.

Just as Su Yunjin finished putting away the ointnt, she heard Mrs. Chu’s voice.

"Sister-in-law." Mrs. Chu ca to see Su Yunjin, carrying a bottle of dicinal soup given to her by Mrs. An. Mrs. An had concocted the dicine into a soup from the herbs she obtained at the pharmacy. To prevent Su Yunjin from discovering it, Mrs. An had deliberately put it in a small bottle, thinking Su Yunjin would never notice.

Mrs. An knew that Su Yunjin would definitely not let Little Tiangua take the dicine she provided, so before Mrs. Chu left, Mrs. An repeatedly instructed her not to tell Su Yunjin. Trusting in Mrs. Chu’s honesty, Mrs. An believed that since Mrs. Chu agreed, she wouldn’t disclose this to Su Yunjin. Seeing Mrs. Chu arrive, Su Yunjin stood up with a smile, "Sister-in-law, what brings you here? I heard that your and Fifth Brother’s bun shop is doing extrely well now, what about the shop while you’re here?"

"Sister-in-law, Fifth Brother is watching over the bun shop! I heard that Little Tiangua was ill, is she feeling better?" Su Yunjin was holding Little Tiangua in her arms.

While speaking, Mrs. Chu glanced at Little Tiangua in Su Yunjin’s arms. Little Tiangua had only been coughing earlier, but with Su Yunjin’s ticulous care, she had long since recovered.

Now, there were no signs of illness on Little Tiangua. Instead, her eyes were bright and her cheeks were rosy. "Sister-in-law, Little Tiangua has already recovered."

Little Tiangua thought Mrs. Chu was teasing her and raised her chubby arm, smiling again. Seeing the red marks on Little Tiangua’s arm, Mrs. Chu exclaid in surprise.

"Sister-in-law, what happened here? How did Little Tiangua get hurt?" Despite being minor, the redness on a child’s tender skin looked particularly alarming.

Su Yunjin’s smile faded slightly, and she spoke to Mrs. Chu in a neutral tone, "It was Mother’s doing."

"What? Mother did it?" Mrs. Chu looked at Su Yunjin incredulously and blurted out, "How is that possible?" Mrs. Chu knew better than anyone else how much Mrs. An cared for Little Tiangua; there was no way she would harm her. Mrs. Chu didn’t believe it.

Just as Su Yunjin was about to explain, soone outside called for her, so she left, leaving Mrs. Chu in the room with the child. Aunt Bao brought in a bowl of water, saying it was for Little Tiangua to drink. Seeing the small bowl, Mrs. Chu rembered the dicine from Mrs. An, and instinctively took out the small bottle from her clothing.

Aunt Bao was cooking a nourishing soup for Su Yunjin. Little Tiangua had been fed water personally by the lady these past two days. After placing the bowl down, Aunt Bao left again.

Mrs. Chu opened the little porcelain bottle, hesitated for a mont, then poured the contents into the plain water ant for Little Tiangua to drink.
