Gu Ya’s large hand landed on Su Yunjin’s recently bumped head.

"Does it still hurt?" Gu Ya’s brows and eyes showed concern and tenderness.

After what just happened, Su Yunjin had lost all mood to act spoiled toward Gu Ya.

She huffed angrily, "No, it doesn’t hurt!" Even if it did, she wouldn’t tell him.

His little wife was holding a grudge?

Gu Ya found it sowhat amusing.

Su Yunjin didn’t look at Gu Ya again and turned her head to the other side.

She was absolutely holding a grudge!

"Young master, madam, we’ve reached the town. Up ahead is crowded; the carriage can’t go any further," the coachman stopped the carriage, ahead was a dense crowd of people and vendors.

Gu Ya knew that the Lantern Festival in town was always packed with people—vendors selling goods and flower lanterns, filling every corner of the streets.

It was hard enough for pedestrians to pass through, let alone a carriage.

Su Yunjin had been looking forward to getting off the carriage to stroll around, and the mont she heard they’d arrived—

Su Yunjin was excited and eager to jump off the carriage.

Having learned his lesson earlier in the day,

Gu Ya wasn’t about to let his little wife wander off away from him again.

"Yunjin, wait for when you get off the carriage. Don’t run off."

Gu Ya clasped Su Yunjin’s wrist and quickly jumped off the carriage after her.

Su Yunjin looked down at where Gu Ya was grabbing her wrist and rolled her eyes.

He had her held like this.

Where could she possibly run off to?

Though that’s what she thought, Su Yunjin decided to comply for once and didn’t go anywhere.

She obediently stood still in place.

Gu Ya quickly gave the coachman a few instructions before turning back to his little wife.

"Yunjin, let’s go. We can start browsing now." The coachman would wait there, and they could ride back once they were done exploring.

Su Yunjin’s gaze was already drawn to the lively scenes of the town.

Just as she’d imagined, the entire street was lined with brightly lit flower lanterns.

Countless flower lanterns illuminated the night as brightly as day.

The dazzling lights almost gave Su Yunjin the illusion of a modern city.

The lanterns were varied and plentiful, so much so that one couldn’t take them all in.

Besides the flower lanterns,

Su Yunjin also noticed a short distance away in town there were street perforrs and opera singers. Temporary stages had been set up, with both male and female perforrs wearing thick makeup. After a song, little girls with copper plates would go around soliciting tips.

The crowd enjoyed the performances enthusiastically and weren’t stingy with their money.

Many reached into their pockets and tossed a few copper coins into the little girls’ plates.

The sound of the coins clinking against the plates echoed, and the little girls looked overjoyed as their faces flushed red with happiness.

Su Yunjin wasn’t particularly interested in the performances. The operatic singing didn’t make any sense to her, and she hadn’t understood a single line. But the little girl was adorable, and when she approached, Su Yunjin generously handed over so copper coins.

"Thank you, pretty sister!" Seeing that Su Yunjin had given more money than everyone else, the little girl’s sweet words were extra complintary.

Although Su Yunjin knew the praise was due to her generosity, she still enjoyed hearing it.

Gu Ya, amused, glanced at his little wife. "You’re really that happy being praised by soone?"

"Of course I am!" Su Yunjin blinked playfully at Gu Ya.

Smiling brightly, she added, "But, if you were the one praising , I’d be even happier!"

"Oh? Is that so?" Gu Ya raised an eyebrow.

Su Yunjin nodded earnestly, waiting for Gu Ya to praise her beauty.

"Husband, hurry up, say it!" Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya expectantly.

It seed like she’d never heard Gu Ya complint her before.

Gu Ya remained expressionless. "Say what?"

Su Yunjin fell silent.

After being stumped by Gu Ya’s response, Su Yunjin imdiately turned and walked ahead.

Forget it!

She and Gu Ya talking was like a chicken trying to talk to a duck!
