Chapter 1466: Chapter 1466: Raising an Army to Demand Justice
“Brother Gu!”
Fan Xiaolian’s eyes lit up, and she seed even happier to see Gu Ya than Su Yunjin was. ng Da was also quite excited; ng Da and Gu Ya had known each other from studying together at school.
In school, ng Da and Gu Ya were on good terms; on one occasion, ng Da had even helped Gu Ya out of a tight spot. It was after that incident that Gu Ya beca friends with ng Da.
However, later on, Gu Ya had injured his leg and lost interest in pursuing an official career, hence he stopped attending school, making encounters with ng Da rare.
The last ti they t was a year ago. Seeing a long-lost friend all of a sudden, ng Da was genuinely delighted, “Brother Gu, Xiaolian and I have co unannounced; you won’t hold it against us, will you?”
“Brother ng, don’t be ridiculous, please co inside and take a seat,” Gu Ya, unaware of the reason behind ng Da and Fan Xiaolian’s visit, nor that his young wife had just had an argunt with Fan Xiaolian.
With ng Da’s visit, Gu Ya greeted them with a smile and invited them into the house. Su Yunjin observed the smile on Gu Ya’s face and secretly thought that this ng Da must have a decent relationship with her husband.
It was no wonder that earlier, when Fan Xiaolian had urged ng Da to take her side, ng Da hadn’t complied. He probably deed it wise not to rush into things out of respect for Gu Ya.
Fan Xiaolian was determined to have Gu Ya take up her cause. Before even entering the house, she rushed up to Gu Ya to complain, “Brother Gu, that woman with the surna…” she halted in the middle of her sentence under Gu Ya’s gaze. She had initially intended to call Su Yunjin an annoying shrew.
But recalling that Su Yunjin was, after all, Brother Gu’s wife, Fan Xiaolian refrained from using the earlier term and instead addressed her as sister-in-law.
“Brother Gu, you don’t know what your wife did to bully when you were not around,” said Fan Xiaolian, who was almost in tears as she spoke.
She looked as though she had suffered the greatest injustice.
Su Yunjin tsked in admiration. This Fan Xiaolian sure knew how to act; in front of ng Da, she was as fierce as a tigress, but now in front of Gu Ya, she appeared as pitiful as a little lamb. Such seamless role change was indeed a waste if she didn’t put it to use in acting. Gu Ya’s brows furrowed.
Gu Ya had a clear idea of what kind of person his young wife was. If nobody provoked her, she wouldn’t be soone to act irrationally.
Fan Xiaolian claiming she was bullied by his young wife likely ant that this Fan Xiaolian had done sothing to displease her. Gu Ya remained silent, and at this point, ng Da also spoke up to defend his woman.
“Brother Gu, Xiaolian and I ca with good intentions to pay a visit, yet your wife insulted Xiaolian by saying she looks old, even calling her ‘Auntie’ in front of . Although Xiaolian has gained so weight after bearing children these past two years, she is about the sa age as your wife. To be precise, your wife is only two months younger than Xiaolian. Isn’t it too much for sister-in-law to treat Xiaolian this way?”
As ng Da spoke, he also gave Su Yunjin a glance full of discontent. Previously, with Gu Ya not around, how could ng Da say anything negative about Su Yunjin behind his back?
Now that Gu Ya had returned, ng Da spoke without reservation, recounting Su Yunjin’s actions, so that Gu Ya could see her misconduct and obtain justice for them both in his presence.
Fan Xiaolian and ng Da, both with complaints and accusations, waited to see how Gu Ya would reprimand Su Yunjin. Especially Fan Xiaolian, with a smug look on her face; she couldn’t believe that Brother Gu wouldn’t punish Su Yunjin in the slightest after hearing both her and ng Da’s side of the story.
