Su Yunjin stepped out just in ti to see Wang ng returning after having consoled her second sister, Su Ningxiu. Su Ningxiu had been upset by their eldest brother, Su Muze, and had run out crying. It took Wang ng quite a while to cheer Su Ningxiu up.
Su Ningxiu no longer wanted to stay at the Su Family ho and wished to leave. Wang ng was bringing Su Yunjin back now to bid farewell to Mrs. Shen and Su Zhongshi.
After saying goodbye, Wang ng would take his young bride and leave the Su Family ho. Upon seeing Su Yunjin, Su Ningxiu asked in surprise, “Little sister, you’ve co out too?”
“Second sister, I’m coming with you to leave as well,” Su Yunjin guessed that Su Ningxiu and Wang ng had returned most likely to say their farewells, and thus she stated her intent to leave with her second sister.
Understanding her younger sister’s words, Su Ningxiu nodded, “Little sister, then let’s go back together.” Su Ningxiu took Su Yunjin’s hand, and the two sisters waited outside for Wang ng.
And let Wang ng go in alone to take his leave.
Su Xiaofu sneaked back into the courtyard, unaware that soone was hiding in the date tree, nor that this person had been watching her for so ti.
The man in black attire in the tree was a subordinate of Young Master Chu, assigned to protect Su Yunjin at all tis. Ever since Su Yunjin had returned to the Su Family, the man in the tree had followed suit.
If today’s mischief by Su Xiaofu had not been coincidentally disrupted by Mrs. Tao’s unexpected appearance, the man in black would have intervened to save Su Yunjin. Young Master Chu had ordered him to ensure Su Yunjin’s safety, and the man in black did not dare to neglect his duty.
Had he failed to protect Su Yunjin and allowed her to experience an accident at the Su Family ho today, his young master would certainly not have let him off easily upon his return.
Su Xiaofu returned to the courtyard in a huff, furious and regretful. If only she had known better than to plot against Su Yunjin. Now, she had attempted to steal the chicken, only to lose the rice instead.

“Who’s there? Who’s plotting against ? If you have the guts, show yourself! What kind of man hides in the shadows?” Su Xiaofu cursed while looking around.
Hoping to catch the person who was plotting against her.
There was nothing in the courtyard.
Su Xiaofu looked around but found no clue; it was eerily quiet, so silent that the sound of the wind rustling the leaves could be heard. There was nobody around.
Then what was the reason for her falling down twice in a row?
Could it be that she was seeing ghosts?
Su Xiaofu looked puzzled as Mrs. Tao walked in from the outside, muttering under her breath after having swallowed her frustration at the hands of Su Zhongshi and his wife. Mrs. Tao was completely displeased.
Especially now that the household of Su Yunjin was beyond her control.
It was no use for Mrs. Tao to be angry.
Outside, Su Ningxiu listened to Su Yunjin’s words, imdiately clenched her fists in anger, ready to avenge Su Yunjin, “Little sister, I’ll go settle the score with that Su Xiaofu right now.
