Chapter 1317: Chapter 1317: Fear Afterwards
The woman that Big Brother fancied had a dubious character; thus, there was no need for Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu to keep watching. After returning, they had to think of a way to sever Big Brother’s infatuation with that woman. If Big Brother were to marry such a woman, it would not lead to a good outco. Initially, Su Muze had sold himself into servitude to save her, signifying his deep commitnt. Now, as it concerned his marriage, Su Yunjin still hoped that Big Brother would find a virtuous woman to beco his wife.
The sisters held hands, preparing to leave. Su Yunjin, with her pregnant belly, found it inconvenient to move, so Su Ningxiu took it upon herself to support her as they walked. “Xiuxiu, there are many loose stones up ahead, be careful not to slip; I’ll help you.”
They were about to set off.
Two n who looked rather unsavory approached them; both had the air of ruffians, and one even had a blade of grass dangling from his mouth.
Su Ningxiu wore a look of vigilance.
Instinctively, she positioned her younger sister behind her, protecting her. The n seed quite taken with the appearance of Su Ningxiu and Su Yunjin, whose delicate skin looked soft enough to squeeze water from, casting them desirous glances.
What a treat it would be to savor their grace.
The two n swallowed hard in unison but did not advance any further. Gu Ya and Wang ng were not far from sight, and the ruffians recognized them. Viewing the direction in which Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu were headed, it was evident they were moving towards where Gu Ya and company were.
Without doubt, these n had surmised the identities of Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu, aware that they were the wives of Gu Ya and Wang ng, especially Su Yunjin—her status as the sister by oath to the wife of the King of Rui was town-wide gossip.
These two were known dockside rascals, oftentis hearing such news before others did. Despite their avarice, they wouldn’t dare cause trouble in broad daylight with the sister by oath to the wife of the King of Rui.
Unless they had a death wish.
As the two passed by Su Ningxiu and Su Yunjin, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret. Su Ningxiu stood in front of Su Yunjin, and even though the ruffians did not linger in their gaze, the look in their eyes still profoundly disgusted Su Ningxiu. Had it not been for her younger sister behind her, pregnant and defenseless, Su Ningxiu would have called out for Wang ng and Gu Ya to co and give the ruffians a good beating.
After the two ruffians had walked past Su Ningxiu and Su Yunjin and moved away, Su Ningxiu turned around, ready to lead her sister away, when she noticed that these n were heading toward none other than the very girl that their older brother Su Muze was enamored with. Su Yunjin also noticed this scene, and both sisters were startled.
“Xiuxiu!”
“Yunjin!”
Realizing sothing was amiss, Gu Ya and Wang ng hurried over at this mont, each going to their respective wives’ sides. When the two ruffians approached earlier, Gu Ya and Wang ng had been deep in a conversation and hadn’t noticed the vagrants walking by. But now, seeing the situation, the two n were alert and swiftly rushed to their wives.
Gu Ya and Wang ng were both intelligent n.
Sensing trouble, they quickly ran to their wives, inspecting them with concern. Gu Ya had a look of concern, “Yunjin, are you alright?”
Those ruffians didn’t seem like decent folks, and as they passed by their wives, it was uncertain if they had done anything detrintal.
Both Su Yunjin and Su Ningxiu shook their heads at Gu Ya. Su Ningxiu was the first to speak, “Brother-in-law, rest assured! Xiuxiu and I are fine. Those n were just passing by.”
Though that was what they said,
Wang ng and Gu Ya simultaneously felt a chill run down their spines.
Those n had the mark of dockside scum, and it wasn’t unusual for won to be harassed by such riffraff in this place—more so when the wives and the elder sister were quite eye-catching.
