After stepping out from her parents’ room, Su Yunjin noticed that Gu Ya had been staring at her, puzzled. Su Yunjin asked Gu Ya, “Why are you staring at ?”
Inside the room just now, the little wife’s words seed innocent enough, but Gu Ya had detected that every sentence was teaching her parents to stand up for themselves, to resist being bossed around and manipulated by her step-grandmother.
Fortunately, he had been worried about the little wife today and had followed her to her parental ho.

Su Yunjin was nonchalant, “Sort of! Not very familiar; my father arranged the match, and he called it off a year ago. After that, he and I had nothing to do with each other.”
The little wife spoke indifferently, and Gu Ya could see that the little wife really had no connection with that Fan Wenxuan. He didn’t pursue the topic further, but suddenly took Su Yunjin’s hand in his. Feeling her hand suddenly enveloped by a slightly calloused, large hand, Su Yunjin instinctively wanted to pull hers away.
Gu Ya, however, held onto her hand and wouldn’t let go.

Su Yunjin glared at Gu Ya, but he kept holding her hand as if he hadn’t seen her glare.

Since Gu Ya didn’t let go, Su Yunjin just let him be.
After the fuss caused by Su Xiaofu and her step-grandmother, the room for her and Gu Ya hadn’t been tidied up yet. So, Su Yunjin decided to go back and clean up the place they were to stay in that night.
Gu Ya and she returned to the room she used to live in. There was quite a bit of dust in the room, and Su Yunjin decided to first dust the room before sweeping the floor.
The bed and other things in the room also needed to be wiped down, otherwise it would be impossible to sleep there at night.

“Yunjin, what are you doing? I’ll help you clean the room.”
“Husband, aren’t you going back?” Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya with a puzzled face, not understanding why he had changed his mind about leaving.
Gu Ya didn’t explain to the little wife, simply saying, “It’s not urgent now. Let help you sort the room out first. It won’t be too late for to return to the Gu Family afterward.”
