Chapter 701 Working for him again
It turns out that Fu Hua thought that she would be sad with seeing how a proper formality was done in marriage since she never expected that because her parents died before that could happen.
Jia Li couldn't help smiling and hugging Fu Hua to her chest. "It's true that I may feel sad because I miss my parents, but it's only for a brief mont because know that they are in a better place."
"Okay, I get you! But making rest my head on this soft pillow, isn't it a little too much? It's making crave for sothing wild." Fu Hua teased with a smiling gaze on her.
Jia Li smiled and said, "Oh! you are already craving sothing wild while I was seeking your warmth? I'm sorry to disturb you, but you can't get the wild candy tonight because the baby doesn't permit you."
"You lie. Our baby would want as the father to be happy, so, let's go for one slow and steady round." Fu Hua said and imdiately moved his head away from her chest and pounced on her.
Jia Li couldn't help giggling as he tickled her and showered her with kisses on her face, neck, and chest. Jia Li really thought that he had really wanted to get the wild candy, but she now ca to understand that he was only teasing her.
When the few monts of play were over, Fu Hua brought Jia Li into his embrace before his hand went to her abdon.
"I can't wait for our baby to grow up quickly and co out already! I miss holding Jasmine when she was still so little. See how quickly she grew." Fu Hua said with a gentle gaze.
Jia Li liked the sensation she felt as he caressed her abdon. She also felt so blissful knowing that she carrying another life in her.
"I also can't wait to see our baby as well. It's really taking its ti to grow. If anyone sees my bare abdon, they would never know that I am pregnant." She said with a smile.
"You are right, the baby it's really taking its ti to grow. Maybe your bump wouldn't be as big as the ti you were carrying Jasmine. Let's wait and see." Fu Hua said as he slipped his hand inside her clothes so he could feel her abdon more.
Jia Li closed her eyes in satisfaction and soon fell asleep in his arms.
When Fu Hua was able to hear her even breathing, he knew she was already deep into sleep, and so, kissed her forehead before closing his eyes to sleep next to her.
The next morning, Jia Li woke up feeling so much better. After receiving warm hugs from her daughter and her husband, she felt energized and ready for the day's job.
After the normal breakfast with the entire family, everyone went about their daily business.
Fu Ling arrived at work at the usual ti and was told that Xiulan has been waiting for him. He has asked her to co over for the matter pertaining to her debts, but he was surprised that she would co in the morning.
As he went into his office with Xiulan tailing behind him, he said to her, "When I told you to co, I didn't an this morning. I ant during lunch break or sothing."
"I didn't dare to waste ti for my benefit as well. I was really restless and couldn't wait to hear how I would repay my debts." Xiulan replied as she sat on the couch he pointed out for her.
Fu Ling noticed the fear in her tone and couldn't help smiling. "Why are you so worked up? I'm not going to ask you to kill anyone in other to pay off your debts, so you can sigh in relief."
Xiulan really took deep breaths to calm her nerves because her boss was usually unpredictable.
"What thod would I use to repay my debts?" She asked with a curious gaze on him.
Fu Ling relaxed on the couch opposite hers and said with crossed legs, "You ntioned taking 2 months' advance paynt from your workplace. It wouldn't be right to return the money even though you didn't use it, so I will give you 2 months to work off the advance paynt and then co work for ."
If there were other ideas that Xiulan had about her form or mode of paynt, this was surely not part of it.
For the next few seconds, Xiulan was silent. Fu Ling watched her silently, waiting for her response. For him, it's not like she had any choice, so there was no need for her to try and refute him.
Truly, Xiulan had seen that she had no choice, but deep down in her heart, she was thinking of the reason her ex-boss wanted her to work for him again.
'Has he forgotten the reason I asked to resign?' Xiulan thought to herself.
There was this conflict in her heart because of that thought. Fu Ling noticed it and asked her to say whatever was in her mind.
"Can you tell what you are thinking right now? Do you have any objection?"
Xiulan glanced at him and said with sincerity, "Sir, have you forgotten the reason I quit in the first place? I don't want to be conflicted with my emotions and end up delaying my work progress."
With his gaze fixed on her as he shifted comfortably on the couch, he said calmly, "I haven't forgotten the reason you left, and that should not be a problem. You will not be working closely with this ti around, and we will rarely have contact with each other. But if your feelings remain the sa, then we will do sothing about it."
Xiulan did not expect this kind of reply, and she didn't understand everything he said. She looked a little conflicted.
'What did he an that they would do sothing about her feelings if it doesn't change? How would he know what she was thinking of they were not going to work closely?'
