Chapter 684 Fu Ling renders a great help
By the ti Fu Ling had finished eating, Xiulan was already close to the hospital.
Fu Ling had thought Xiulan would co to clear the plates since she served him, but that didn't happen. Thinking that nothing was wrong, he went to the desk to pay his bill.
After paying his bills and still didn't see Xiulan, he was forced to make a move. He asked one of the female writers about Xiulan.
"Xiulan just left her now, she had an ergency." The waited replied anxiously.
"If you don't mind asking, what kind of an ergency is that?." Fu Ling inquired with a slight frown.
The last ti he ca and asked about her, he was told the sa thing, and now he was wondering if she was in any sort of trouble.
The waiter didn't hide Xiulan's trouble. She imdiately spilled everything out. While speaking, Fu Ling's facial expression changed. He was now worried for Xiulan.
"Which hospital did she go to?" Fu Ling asked.
The waiter didn't think that anything was wrong and imdiately told him. Before rushing out, Fu Ling tipped her. He didn't even bother to wait to hear her thanks before leaving.
'Why did she have to quit working for when she knew her financial situation best?' Fu Ling thought to himself as he ignited his engine and drove away.
Right now, he was thinking that Xiulan made the worst decision in her life by quitting her job because she had feelings for him. He thought that it wouldn't have hurt if she hid her feelings and continued to work for him.
Fu Ling gave up on blaming her and focused on trying to reach her. He still had her contact number on his phone, and so he dialed it, but no one answers the phone after several rings.
"Where did she leave her phone?!" Fu Ling thought angrily. He was trying to reach her, so he could help her as soon as possible, but she wasn't answering at this mont.
The reason Xiulan could not answer the call was that she just arrived at the hospital and had to rush into the theater to see her mother.
The operation has not yet started because they were waiting for her, and he'd part paynt.
Seeing her mother lying on the bed with different tubes connected to her, tears dropped down her eyes. Taking quick steps to her mother's side, Xiulan took her hand and squeezed them gently.
"Mum, please hang on, I will do sothing about your condition. I'm sorry that I'm useless when you need the most. I promise to double my efforts if you hang on for a little." Xiulan cried.
Her mother was her only family, and if anything were to happen to her, she didn't think that she could continue living.
She was beginning to bla herself for not having any friends who could help her out in this situation. She blad herself for not having a good job, and for quitting the good job she had before.
She blad herself for not having enough savings. If sis did, she would have at least been able to pay the 50% money required for her mother's surgery.
Fu Ling was almost close to the hospital. It was not a surprise since he was speeding. Since he was not able to reach Xiulan on phone, he had no choice but to speed up.
Not long after, he got to the hospital and hurried inside. At the reception desk, he asked for Xiulan and ntioned her surna since he didn't know her mother's na.
Being a mber of the Fu family, Fu Ling was recognized, and he was imdiately attended to.
When the doctor in charge of Xiulan's mother was brought, Fu Ling had a short conversation with him.
Fu Ling asked him to go ahead with the surgery, as he would foot the bill right there, and right in his presence, Fu Ling cleared the bill Xiulan was owing.
Seeing Fu Ling's enthusiasm, the doctor imdiately made a call for the surgery to comnce imdiately.
Since this was an ergency surgery, the doctors and nurses required for the surgery, all ca rushing out of their offices and towards the theater.
Xiulan was still crying when the doctor in. charge of her mother walked in with the rest. She was surprised to see them dressed and ready to perform the surgery.
"Miss, please can you leave us, we are about to start performing the surgery on your mother. She is having internal bleeding so her life is in danger." The doctor said to her.
With tears in her eyes, she asked, "Doctor, please save my mother, and thank you so much for helping when I do not have up to 60% of the amount for the surgery."
The doctor turned to her saying, "We will do our best to save your mother, and you shouldn't be thanking , because soone paid to have your mother's surgery done imdiately."
Xiulan was shocked by this miracle, and she couldn't help but ask about the identity of her helper. She wasn't expecting anybody to help her, worth more coming down to the hospital to clear her bills.
Because of ti, which the doctor made ntion of, which was assent to save her mother as too much ti has been delayed already, he only told her to et the person down the hallway.
Xiulan was sensitive enough to leave the ER imdiately for the surgery to be perford on her mother.
While thinking about the person that helped her out in her desperate situation, she followed the path down the hallway but didn't see anybody there.
She had to start asking questions, but nobody knew to who she was referring. Worrying about missing her helper, and her mother who was being operated on, Xiulan was frustrated and almost broke down in tears again.
Well, she did because when Fu Ling who had left to go and buy so things ca back, he saw her familiar figure squatting on one side and crying seriously.
