Chapter 663 Hotel room key card
'What's with the key card?' Bai Jun thought to herself. She ca here to et Mark in his room, but she got the card to his room instead, 'Did he step out?' She asked herself.
Bai Jun took the key card from the receptionist and was about to walk away when she got a reminder to co down before noon. Bai Jun was too confused to pay attention to her, so she made her way straight to the elevator while trying to dial Mark's contact.
The reason the receptionist reminded Bai Jun to co down before noon, was because their hotel rule was that every noon, was the ti for hotel room renewal. If you don't check out before that ti, you will pay for another 24 hours.
In the elevator, Ba Jun pressed the floor of Mark's room number, before dialing his contact, but she got a voice mail instead, which said that his number was not available.
Bai Jun wanted to know where he had gone without notifying her, but she couldn't get an answer.
Getting off the elevator, Bai Jun walked down the hallway and went straight to the right room door. Unlocking the door, she made her way in and turned on the lights.
She looked happy as she toured the suite. It was almost ti for lunch, so she went to the refrigerator to look for sothing to eat, but she only found an orange juice with a note on it.
'Quench your thirst, order food, I will be back soon, my battery is down.'
Bai Jun smiled to herself and took the drink out of the refrigerator and started sipping it. Since Mark has explained the reason he couldn't be reached, she only had to wait for a little while for him.
"He should have texted instead of making worried. What if I didn't open this refrigerator, I would never have seen his note." Bai Jun sulked like a child.
It was specifically because Mark knew how she would act if there was no one in the room, that he did that.
Since Mark said she could order so food, Bai Jun totally forgot what the receptionist said to her about coming down before noon, and went on to order food.
Before the food was brought over, she had already finished the orange juice and discrete the plastic cup in the waste bin.
After serving the food, the waiter so that the waste bin was full, and carried out it as he was leaving.
Bai Jun took pictures of the food and posted them before she began to eat. After she had finished eating, she beca a little restless, because Mark was still nowhere to be found.
Still, she called for room service to co and take the empty plates away, while she toured the suit again. This ti around, she entered the bedroom and went on to check things out.
When she couldn't find any of Mark's belonging around, she beca suspicious. She opened the closet door, but nothing was there. Not even a shirt or an empty travel bag was seen.
As she looked more, she discovered that not even a pin belonging to Mark could be found. At this point, Bai Jun began to panic. She used her phone and tried to reach Mark, but she couldn't reach him.
Quickly, she used the intercom and dialed the reception desk.
"Hello, Miss, is there sothing you need help with?" The receptionist inquired.
"Where did my friend go to?" Bai Jun asked imdiately.
The receptionist was confused at that question because she thought that Bai Jun should know Mark's whereabouts, so why was she asking about it?
Thinking that Mark must have not told her his whereabouts because he wanted to surprise her, the receptionist smiled and said to her, "He already checked out, and because he had sothing to give to you, he instructed to hand the key card to his room over to you."
"What did you say?! He checked out already?" Bai Jun quivered. She was truly scared right now.
"Yes, is everything okay?" The receptionist asked with a slight frown.
"Do you know where he went to?" Bai Jun inquired as she was starting to lose her mind already.
"I don't know where he went to, but you have 5 minutes left to hand over the key card to that room, or you will foot the bill for another 24 hours." The receptionists said before dropping the call, and just then, many reporters and journalists trooped in and headed straight for the elevators, after overpowering the security.
Bai Jun was still in shock by the latest developnt, that she collapsed on the bed. Now, she was thinking if Mark was playing a prank on her or taking revenge on her.
Actually, she was thinking if she had to foot the bill for the full course al she ordered or not. She was wondering if Mark paid for it already before checking out and then wanted her to co over to eat It which could signify the gift the receptionist ntioned.
No matter what it was, Bai Jun was very uncomfortable and didn't want to remain in that room anymore, so she got off the bed and went straight to the sitting room to pick up her bag to leave.
Just as she opened the door, she t face with the reporters who imdiately sward over her, and began to ask her questions she couldn't make aning of.
Bai Jun tried to evade them by going back into the room, but they imdiately rushed in before she could slam the door shut.
She could tell that sothing was not right, and her doubts were confird when she heard the question she was asked next.
"Miss Bai, is it true that you are into drugs now?"
"Miss Bai, where did you hide the drugs you bought?"
Bai Jun was almost going crazy with the flashes from the caras, and the crazy questions she couldn't make sense of.
"Are you all crazy?? How did you know I was here, and who told you that I am into drugs, are you blind or do you want to end your career for the false accusation?"
