Chapter 640 – Last Person To Be Saved
A new year began with a new atmosphere. The Fu family remained at peace with each other. They chatted, ate, and celebrated in harmony.
ixu ended up inviting Shi Qiao to the Fu Family’s house officially after Grandfather Fu asked for him.
Grandfather Fu cared about his grandchildren, and always wanted to know who they were dating, not minding if they would end up together or not.
Shi Qiao was given a warm welco by the Fu family mbers, and finally, he got to see what they were like in private.
At first glance, Fu ChuHua appreciated Shi Qiao, and when she got the chance to pull ixu away in private, she said to her, "You really got my good genes."
"How?" ixu asked with her gaze focused on her smiling mother.
"You’ve got good eyes, you managed to pick up a young good looking man from a good background. This is exactly how I picked up your father." Fu ChuHua said as she chuckled with a hand over her mouth.
"You picked up Dad?" ixu asked with an unbelievable expression on her face. "Don’t let grandfather or dad hear you say that, or you might be in big trouble."
"Why, am I wrong? Is it only n that can pick up ladies? Won can also make good choices themselves." Fu ChuHua said with an unapologetic tone.
ixu sighed and said, "The way you said it, had a different aning. It was as if you really targeted Dad because of his family background."
Fu ChuHua did not say anything again, she looked away with her hands folded below her chest area.
"Thanks for your complint, but I ha e to go back in there before anyone finds out that you brought out here for gossip," ixu said before going back into the sitting room.
After exchanging pleasantries and chatting for a bit, Grandfather Fu invited Shi Qiao to join them in the dining room, but he declined, with the excuse that he needed to go back ho to have dinner with his family.
ixu had to say to him in a gentle tone, "Don’t reject the goodwill of my grandfather."
Shi Qiao smiled and finally accepted to stay back to have dinner with them.
After Shi Qiao left, FangSu got the opportunity to have a conversation with ixu.
"Wow! So that’s the man you like? Can you tell how you got to like him?"
"Why do you want to know about my love story?" ixu asked.
FangSu found her language usage funny and couldn’t help chuckling out loud. "Did you say your love story? Well, it doesn’t make much difference, it’s just that it’s weird that you actually love soone."
"How is it weird for to like soone? Don’t you think it’s weirder for you to like soone?" ixu questioned with furrowed brows.
She didn’t understand the reason she was being laughed out for loving soone, or is love a specific kind of clothing that doesn’t suit everybody?
FangSu leaned in to say with a small smile on her face, "Do you want us to draw a questionnaire so the fans can tell us who live fits between the two of us?"
"Not funny!" ixu said and started to work away.
FangSu imdiately followed after her while asking, "When are you making the public announcent concerning your relationship status?"
"Why are you concerned about my matters lately?" ixu asked with stopping in her steps. Her voice didn’t sound concerned or curious either. It was more like she was just asking an unimportant question.
"Because I love and care for you with all my heart," FangSu said with a big smile. She didn’t feel that she was shaless by lying head-on.
ixu scoffed and said, "You are really shaless! Not a mber of our family will trust what you just said now because we all know ourselves."
"Is it so hard to believe ? Wow! You really don’t believe that I can change!" FangSu said with a tinge of regret in her tone. The regret in her tone was obviously faked, as she was pretending to be pitiful.
ixu stopped in her steps and turned around to say to her with a straight gaze, "If everyone in this family were to be drowning, and I’m asked to save everyone, you will surely be that last person I will help out of that water, don’t you know?"
FangSu shrugged, "I’m not surprised... that’s a given! I will also do the sa if I were to be in your shoes. I will save you last because you are the least person I love in this family."
ixu was left dumbfounded by her words. She just stood there and gazed at her wordlessly, not k owing what to do with her, or how to reply to her.
For a second, she almost took her words seriously, almost forgetting how crazy and annoying she could be at tis.
FangSu saw her staring at her wordlessly, and couldn’t help asking in a low tone, "Why do you look speechless? Don’t tell that you don’t believe ! ixu, you’ve got to know that I won’t lie. Although you are the last person I will save, it doesn’t an that I don’t love and care for you."
Watching FangSu spew those words with that faked worried look on her face, ixu felt like stitching up her lips, but she ended up turning around and walking away with a word leaving her mouth.
FangSu just smiled and watched ixu walk away, after annoying her to being speechless.
"I guess my skills are improving!" She said out loud.
"Yes, they are increasing, but don’t get into trouble because of it!" Jia Li said with a smile behind her.
FangSu got a huge scare when she heard the voice from behind her, but when she saw it was Jia Li, she rubbed her chest and said with a painful facial expression.
"Sister-in-law, do you that you almost caused a heart attack? I’m still too young for that."
Jia Li smiled and took a few steps closer to her.. "If you stop looking for trouble, why would you care about having a heart attack? You wouldn’t be one if you don’t bring trouble to yourself."
