Chapter 542 - Familiarity
After Alix returned to her bedroom she destroyed so many things there in order to vent her anger before leaving the house.
When Mr. Suarez learned of the commotion, he sighed and asked the servants to replace everything she destroyed before she returns.
Feng Alix in anger drove straight to a small familiar villa. It's been a long ti since she was there but she was able to recognize the road from one of the texts from an unsaved contact in her phone.
After she got to the small Villa, she parked her car and got out of it. Because she was already popular as the young wife of Mr. Suarez and also because of the relationship the owner of the house has with the Suarez family, she was allowed inside and taken to the sitting room to sit and wait over a glass of wine as per her order.
Although the person she ca to find wasn't there, she had the patience to wait because she knew exactly where he was but chose to co to his place to confront him.
About 40 minutes later, the young lawyer of Mr. Suarez returned to his house only to see the familiar car parked outside of his villa.
He stepped out of his car and walked to Alix's car to take a good look at it. "She is definitely living a good life."
When he walked into the sitting room with his work bag in one hand and the other hand in his trouser pocket, he saw Alix drinking a glass of red wine with her legs crossed and the bottle of wine was on the stool next to her.
"When last did you co here and you are already making yourself at ho, Mrs. Suarez?" He asked as he ca to stand before her.
Alix glanced at him and asked in an annoyed tone, "What took you so long to co back?"
"After you made a ss of your room, you ca to mine to make a ss of it or what? What did you co to see for?" He asked with a smirk on his lips.
Alix downed the remaining content of the glass and put it on the stool before gazing at him to ask, "What is the content of my husband's will?"
The lawyer stared at her in surprise for a few seconds before laughing out loud. "I have been thinking the reason you rembered to visit after a long ti and it turns out that it's because of the will. Mrs. Suarez, I'm sorry to disappoint you but my conversation with Mr. Suarez about his Will, it's confidential information, so I can't tell you about it. But if you want to know about it so badly, you can go back to your ho and ask him directly about it."
Alix smiled and poured another glass of wine for herself. As she swirled the glass gently, she said to him with her gaze on the wine. "He said not to give any company shares. He said I'm not allowed to work in the family company. He is only planning on leaving with money and a villa I can't sell? What does he take for, a mistress?"
As Alix said the last sentence, she turned to glance at the lawyer with reddened eyes.
"Actually, $10,000,000 and a small villa with servants at your beck and call, it's a lot to give to a mistress." The lawyer said as he sat on another couch.
Alix glared at the lawyer and said to him, "Carlos, I am already pissed off as it is, don't infuriate further."
"Since you know what he Willed to you, what did you co to my place for? Don't tell you suddenly find my embrace a comfort zone?" Carlos asked with a wicked smile.
"As if!" Alix snorted and looked away.
"Don't you miss the good old tis between us? I must say that you really are an ambitious woman for dumping and jumping right into Mr. Suarez's arms." Carlos said as he stared hard at her.
"You were not what I was looking for when it cos to terms of wealth and power." Alix said.
Carlos scoffed, "As Mr. Suarez's lawyer, can't you tell that I have connections and power? But you wanted more than that. You were greedy for more wealth, so you dumped and ran straight to him after I told you he was my Boss in the last party we last attended together."
Alix and Carlos dated for a short while before Alix t Mr. Suarez at a party she went to with Carlos. There, Carlos had introduced Alix to Mr. Suarez as a big business tycoon.
From their conversation, Alix caught the man's flaw. He liked younger won and any young woman that manages to catch his attention would forever be lucky.
When Alix heard all that, she gave a shot at it and she was lucky enough to catch the attention of Mr. Suarez.
"At least I got the benefits of getting married to Mr. Suarez. Money to spend whenever I wanted, connection to get whatever I wanted done and the public attention, it was sure that it." Alix replied and looked away.
Carlos decided to taunt her after what she said, "What about the great s*x and this young rock-hard body, didn't you miss it for that soft pot belly and probably bad s*x?"
"Don't remind of my ugly experiences in the bed. I didn't marry that old man just to receive this penny after his death." Alix said angrily.
Normally, Mr. Suarez would only play or keep the young won he liked as his mistress but Alix suggested they have a marriage because she thought she would receive a lot of benefits from his will if she beca his wife.
Now that she wasn't given any shares, the anger in her heart knew no bounds. She felt that she has been short-changed. A young woman like her in her early 30s (31 years) married a man in his late 70s, that was definitely not love.
She wanted to use him but it looks like she failed.
