Chapter 398 - Thursday
Before anyone could say a word to admonish her after giving her that disgusting gazes, Bai Jun added, "But that was in the past, not anymore. My family and his family were very close, so I know him on a personal level."
"You don't expect us to believe that do you?." Marié asked while rolling her eyes.
"I don't care if you know the Big Boss outside of work, but you should mind your actions. He is married, and I'm sure everyone heard clearly when he said no one shouldn't have ideas about him or the consequences will be dire when caught." Linda said with a frown.
"I'm serious, I don't have any ideas about him." Bai Jun said with creased brows. Deep down, she was annoyed that she wasn't able to deceive them.
"Stop trying to fool us. We watched the video of you getting hit because of your crazy ideas." One of them said while rolling her eyes.
"We are aware of the reason you got married, it's because of this. I don't want to waste my ti with you, so please leave, or I will leave the table." Marié said with a disgusted facial expression.
"Jun, you are such a good liar. We heard you and your friends confronting each other, and I bet you didn't know we were sitting next to their table." One of the male newbies said.
The others started to complain and talked in a hushed tone. Bai Jun was embarrassed that she was asked to leave. Hearing them ntion that video, and the fact that they were sitting next to her friends when she exchanged words with them, made her know that there was no low she could tell that would make them forget everything they heard and saw.
With anger boiling in her heart, she stood up with her tray of food and said to them, "It's fine if you don't believe , this is not the first ti I will suffer from people misunderstanding ."
After saying that, Bai Jun walked over to another table to sit and eat her food.
"Is she trying to bla us?." One of them asked in disbelief.
"She has just shown you how shaless she can be." Another said.
"Why is JL not here?." One of them asked as she looked around.
"She is probably eating sowhere else since she normally cos with ho-cooked food, or maybe she is still working," Linda said.
"She is really passionate about this stuff."
"All of us are passionate about it as well," Marié said and picked up her spoon and began to eat.
Jia Li who they were talking about, was eating sowhere else. There are two places to stay and have lunch in FJ, so Sunny asked JL to join her for lunch in the place reserved for the directors. And as they ate, they conversed about matters related to work.
"You can now go to the Boss's office on my behalf when I can't make it, his assistant approved according to the Boss's instruction." Sunny revealed.
Jia Li nodded in understanding. She knew this was Fu Hua's doing, as this would be a big opportunity for them to see each other during work hours. Jia Li smiled inwardly and continued to eat her food.
Soon, Thursday arrived, which was Valentine's Day. Most ladies wore a red outfit to work today, to celebrate the day of Love.
All the staff in FJ heard that their Boss allowed them to get off work by 3 PM, so they were very excited. Those that had dates to go to, we're more than excited, because they now had ti to rest a bit after work before going on a date.
Rumors had it that the Boss of FJ wanted to get off work on ti to celebrate Valentine's Day with his wife, so he allowed the staff to leave work on ti as well.
When Bai Jun heard the rumor, she gritted her teeth as she gazed at Jia Li in jealousy. She hated how Fu Hua flaunted his love for her.
As everyone was in a joyous mood, Jia Li had the sa feeling as well, but she put in a lot of effort with today's task so she could leave work much earlier.
Before leaving for work, Jia Li went to take permission from Sunny to get off work on ti for the upper week.
"Why do you want to leave work early next week Thursday?" Sunny asked curiously.
"I have sothing to organize in my family, so I needed to get off work on ti." Jia Li said in a nervous tone.
Sunny gazed at Jia Li for a while before saying, "You know that work should co first, and that's a priority in FJ, your personal affairs can't affect your work here."
Jia Li thought that she didn't ask her question well, so sue rephrased it, "I am aware of that. So I want to ask if I can leave work before ti if I finish my tasks?."
"If you finish your tasks before ti, then you are free to leave. But mind you, Thursday may be a busy day." Sunny reminded her.
"Thank you!." Jia Li said with a smile before leaving her office.
Working back to her desk, Jia Li sat down ???? and sighed. Exactly a week from today which is next week Thursday is Fu Hua's birthday, so Jia Li wanted to get off work on ti to organize a lot sothing for him. But after speaking to Sunny, she knew she had to start making preparations on ti and not bank on the D-Day.
While getting her things ready to leave for work, Jis Li got a text from Fu Hua asking her to go wait in his car in the underground park as he wanted them to leave together.
Jia Li was surprised by his request and imdiately phoned him while waiting for the elevator.
"What if soone sees ?." Jia Li asked in a nervous tone.
"Nobody will, Zimo will make sure of that. He will call you now and help you get to my car without anyone seeing you.." Fu Hua said from the other end of the phone.
