Chapter 299 - Godmothers Visit
Fu Hua understood her worries. He smiled and brought her into his arms. "We have a new model to fill in that space, she will be revealed two weeks to the Autumn Fashion Show."
"Why are you taking so long to reveal her?" Jia Li asked.
"There is a strategy behind that and it wasn't easy picking her from amongst the best." Fu Hua replied.
"Oh, I see..."
"When do you want to start working? Tell once you're ready and I will help you make so arrangents." Fu Hua said to her. He couldn't wait for her to join FJ and showcase her talent.
"I will tell you but I don't need your help. I will get in through my efforts." Jia Li said with determination.
"If you say so... go to sleep, you need so rest." Fu Hua said to her. He didn't agree with her about getting in with her efforts as it won't be an easy fit but he just had to agree with her at the mont.
Jasmine woke up with cries more than 5 tis in the middle of the night and her parents didn't have a good night's sleep.
The next morning, Jia Li slept in while Fu Hua placed Jasmine in her portable carrier and took her downstairs for breakfast.
The little girl laid obediently in her carrier as her father carried her downstairs. Her sight was literally everywhere and settled only when her carrier was placed on the dining chair next to her dad.
"Princess, you didn't let your mother sleep a wink last night, you have to be obedient and let her get so sleep before getting hungry." Fu Hua said to the little girl in a soft tone.
Jasmine looked so innocent but you wouldn't believe that she was the sa person that robbed sleep off her parents' eyes last night.
Fu Hua smiled and started eating while moving his cutlery ???? gently. In the middle of eating, Jasmine yawned and made small noises. She smacked her lips and sucked on her fingers.
"Are you protesting? Are you hungry?" Fu Hua asked with a smile as he thought the aroma of his breakfast was making his little daughter hungry.
Jasmine moved her head to the side and opened her mouth and closed them again. That was a sign of hunger that Fu Hua understood.
"It looks like you're hungry." Fu Hua said with a frown and began to eat quickly before Jasmine starts to cry.
Quickly, he finished eating and asked Housekeeper Zu to get things for Jasmine's bath ready in the nursery. He wanted Jia Li to get enough rest.
While watching her daughter taking a bath, Fu Hua felt his heart lt because the little girl continued sucking on her fingers. Jasmine was already hungry and it was a good thing she wasn't crying yet.
Imdiately she was dressed, He carried her in his arms and went to Jia Li's bedroom only to see her dressed in new clothes and was eating.
"Is she crying?" Jia Li asked with her gaze on them.
"Not yet but it wouldn't take long before that, as she is already moving a lot." Fu Hua replied as he got close to her.
"Good thing I have freshened up already." Jia Li said and continued to eat.
"I wanted you to get enough rest but it looks like it's not possible." Fu Hua said to her. He was really surprised to see that she was already up, as had the ti to bath and dress before Jasmine started with her troubles.
"Thank you but there is no need." Jia Li replied. What was the need of sleeping in when that little girl would get hungry any mont? It wouldn't be right if she didn't have her bath and eat before then.
Jia Li finished eating quickly and took Jasmine to breastfeed her. If Jasmine could talk, she would have protested against her parents for torturing her with the aroma of their food.
First, his father ate in her presence and next, it was her mother. They really starved her.
As Jia Li's friends were coming over today, Fu Hua made so arrangents for them, while the kitchen prepared lunch.
At noon, the three of them landed with excitent. They all had gifts in their hands for Jia Li and Jasmine.
Jia Li was thrilled to see them as she made her way downstairs with Jasmine in her arms.
"OMG! Our girl is a mother now!" Chang-Chang said excitedly.
The three ladies felt like screaming when they saw Jia Li and the baby but Jia Li hushed them on ti. They knew better than to behave after the last incident of startling their goddaughter.
"Congratulations!!!" Her friends chorused in a soft tone as they imdiately surrounded her and the baby.
"Thank you!" Jia Li replied with a smile.
"She is so cute!" Chang-Chang said with her hands on her cheeks.
"She is beautiful!" Daiyu said.
"She is so peaceful." DanDan added.
Jia Li finally made her way to the sitting room with her friends following her about before sitting on her special seat.
"Can I carry her?" DanDan asked happily.
"Present your gifts first." Jia Li said as she sat on her chair like a Queen giving commandnts to her people.
The three ladies chuckled and pointed at the gifts they ca with. They didn't ntion what they ca with and only asked her to unwrap the gifts herself
"Da-Xia looks just like you." Daiyu comnted.
"Exactly and she is so quiet." Chang-Chang said.
"Quiet? Jasmine is not quiet. You need to spend ti with her at night to know what I'm talking about." Jia Li said.
"I know how newborns are. You can't get so sleep at night because you have to feed them." Daiyu said with a smoking gaze on the sleeping baby.
"Jia Li, you can't complain. You need to feed our little girl and make her more chubby." DanDan said to her.
"How can I complain about my precious child, I was only saying that she is not quite as it looks. If you ladies trouble , I will send you out and call in my pets. I haven't seen Ocean and the puppies for 3 days now." Jia Li threatened.
The three ladies began to fawn over her. How could they accept her threat? They haven't spent ti with their goddaughter, so how could they leave?
