Chapter 203 - I Can Handle It
After a little battle with her mind, Jia Li finally revealed who was calling. "It's Li Huan"
Jia Li was afraid Fu Hua would be jealous and beco angry because he asked her not to get close to Li Huan.
A frown appeared on Fu Hua's face as his brows furrowed. He was annoyed that a man was calling his wife so late at night.
Hadn't it been soone Jia Li used to like, he wouldn't be so bothered.
"For now put your phone on silent mode, you can return the call after dinner." Fu Hua said to her and continued to eat.
Jia Li did as he said and continued to eat while wondering what his thoughts were.
The two continued their dinner in silence with only their cutlery making so crisp sounds against each other.
After dinner, Jia Li took her drugs but before it Fu Hua had already disappeared because he was avoiding the sll of drugs.
Jia Li thought he was still annoyed with Li Huan calling her and felt a little moody. She didn't like him ignoring her but she misunderstood this ti around.
After taking her drugs, Jia Li went to their bedroom to return Li Huan's call.
"Hello, Brother Huan" Jia Li greeted after the call was answered
"Jia Li, how are you?" Li Huan asked when he heard Jia Li's soft tone.
"I'm fine." Jia Li replied.
"Did I disturb you?" Li Huan asked in a gentle tone. He was calm and composed now.
"Not really, I was having dinner when you called earlier." Jia Li replied as she walked towards the couch to go and sit.
Since Fu Hua was not in the bedroom, she could freely answer the call without worrying about his reactions.
"I'm sorry about that. I wanted to ask about the date for your graduation." Li Huan said. He knew about Jia Li's graduation and wanted to attend, so he asked for the date.
"It's next week Friday." Jia Li replied.
"Okay. Sorry for disturbing you, good night." Li Huan said and ended the call after that.
Jia Li glanced at her phone before keeping it aside. Li Huan did not tell her the reason for asking about her graduation date but she guessed he might want to attend it.
Jia Li sighed and kept the phone aside before getting into bed. She was feeling drowsy before dinner but now as she lay in bed, the sleep seems to have disappeared.
She had so thoughts going through her head, while indirectly waiting for Fu Hua to co back to the room.
Fu Hua was currently trying to round up so work on his Laptop ???? and had no idea of Jia Li's thoughts. But he didn't work for long before shutting his system down.
When Fu Hua went back to the bedroom, he saw Jia Li lying in bed and still wide awake.
"You're not sleeping yet?" He asked with a frown.
"I can't sleep." Jia Li replied with a tired tone.
Fu Hua turned off the lights and left the lamp on the bedside but he dimd them.
He got into bed and hugged Jia Li from behind. He kisses her neck before keeping his head on the pillow with his hands still wrapped around her.
"Why can't you sleep, what are you thinking about?" Fu Hua asked in a low tone.
"I was waiting for you." Jia Li replied in all honesty as she turned over to glance at him.
A smile appeared on Fu Hua's face and he leaned in to kiss her lips.
"I'm here now, you can sleep." Fu Hua said as he brought her into his arms.
Jia Li lay her head on his chest before speaking up slowly, "I returned Brother Huan's call. He asked for my graduation date."
"Does he want to attend?" Fu Hua asked as he caressed her hair.
"I think so, but he didn't say anything about it." Jia Li revealed.
"It's okay." Fu Hua said to her.
After waiting for a while, Jia Li looked up and asked, "Are you not angry?"
Fu Hua was taken aback by the sudden question. "Why do you think so?"
"You left imdiately after dinner without saying anything, I thought you were angry that he called." Jia Li replied while gazing at him.
Fu Hua chuckled softly and kissed her forehead. "Although I wasn't happy your childhood sweetheart called you so late but I didn't leave because of that."
"Oh! Why did you leave?" Jia Li asked as her gaze beca curious, if he didn't leave because of Li Huan's call, then what else made him leave?
"I don't like the sll of drugs and I hate them." Fu Hua confessed.
Jia Li stared at him wide-eyed. She was stupefied by this revelation. Since those drugs were prescribed for her, she has been taking them during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and she never noticed he didn't like to see her take them. This was a huge surprise for her.
"Why didn't you tell about it?" Jia Li asked worriedly.
"There is no need. I can handle it. If I can't, I just have to leave when you're about to take them." Fu Hua said without worries.
Jia Li felt bad and thought she wasn't considerate enough to him.
Fu Hua guessed that she was feeling bad and said to her, "Don't think too much about it and sleep on ti. If you are still not feeling sleepy, then I will have my way with you. I haven't been inside of you for more than a week now and I miss it."
Jia Li who was feeling bad for him almost glared at him. He really knew how to ruin the monts. How could he be thinking of when last they had s*x and he was even keeping counts of it.
She wondered if that was the only thing he always thought about.
Jia Li tried to push him away but she heard him laugh from above her head as he held her in place.
"Jia Li, you're still owing for helping with project work. When will you pay ?" Fu Hua asked with a smile.
Jia Li rembered their deal and asked, "What do you want?"
"I want you." Fu Hua said directly without hiding his intentions.
"My stomach is heavy." Jia Li said as she closed her eyelids. She ate too much during dinner and can't handle him tonight.
"Another ti... Sleep.." Fu Hua said as he closed his eyes while patting her back.
