Chapter 182 - Li Huan's Call...
When Jia Li woke up from her nap, she felt so comfortable with her eyes closed. She smiled and stretched her hand.
When she discovered how comfortable she was, she opened her eyes only to see herself lying on the bed. She sat up imdiately and t a cold gaze locked on her.
She managed a smile and asked, "When did you co back?"
"Why did you bring your dog inside the house?" Fu Hua ignored her question and asked with his gaze on her.
Jia Li pretended as if she didn't understand the question and looked elsewhere. She was guilty of disobedience.
Fu Hua got up from the chair and walked towards the bed. Jia Li saw him coming and imdiately got out of bed from her side.
Fu Hua stopped in his steps and asked as he put his hands inside his trouser pockets "Why are you running away?"
"Nothing... I'm sorry about bringing Ocean into the house. I was bored and wanted company so I brought her with . I promise that Ocean will not cause a commotion, she is obedient and well trained." Jia Li vouched for Ocean with a harmless look.
"Shouldn't you be telling you wouldn't bring her inside the house again? What's with you trying to convince of how obedient she is, don't tell you still have the intentions of bringing her into the house next ti?" Fu Hua asked with creased brows.
"That... Fu Hua, I will be right back, I need to use the bathroom." Jia Li said and quickly rushed into the bathroom without waiting for him to say anything.
'Did I just let her escape?' Fu Hua thought to himself as he glanced at the door to the inner room.
Actually, this was how Jia Li managed to escape replying to that question. She needed to pee and had to use that opportunity to escape that question.
She didn't want to stop bringing Ocean into the house, so she didn't want to promise what she couldn't do.
The next morning, Jia Li woke up to her phone ringing aloud. She squinted her eyes as she glanced at the side next to her, but Fu Hua was already gone.
She sat up and stretched her hand towards her side of the nightstand and picked up her phone. Glancing at the caller ID, sleep completely disappeared from her eyes.
She answered the call imdiately and greeted, "Hello, brother Huan."
"Hello, Jia Li, I have good news for you. I am currently in your city, please can we et up around 10 AM, I have sothing important to share with you?" Li Huan asked in an excited tone.
"Oh..." Jia Li said unsure of what to say.
"Good, see you in a few hours, bye." Li Huan said and ended the call after that.
'Brother Huan is here and he wants to see ?' Jia Li thought to herself with a confused look on her face.
She tried guessing what the important thing he wanted to share with her was all about, but she couldn't think of anything.
Apart from that, Jia Li thought that eting up with his would be the right opportunity to tell him about the changes in her life.
She almost forgot about that and thanks to this call, she rembered she had to take care of sothing important.
Jia Li got up and went to wash up. During breakfast, Fu Hua who had been in the study ca down for breakfast dressed in his normal work attire.
While eating, Jia Li was distracted and Fu Hua noticed it.
"What are you worried about?" He asked as he put so food on her plate.
"I'm...it's my project, I'm thinking of when we start working on it." Jia Li replied as she glanced at him.
"We will start working on it from tomorrow. We will go to the textile industry ???? to select the materials we will be needing for it." Fu Hua said to her.
"Thank you!" Jia Li said with a slight smile and continued to eat.
Jia Li waited patiently till arete breakfast to tell Fu Hua that she wanted to leave the house for a while.
"I'm going to see a friend."
"Go ahead, dress properly it's cold because of the snow, call the cab driver and be careful." Fu Hua said to her before leaving.
He didn't ask about the kind of friend she was going to et and the reason for it, and Jia Li was glad.
When the ti for the appointnt reached, Jia Li got dressed and called the cab driver. The cab driver was allowed into the premises as per Fu Hua's instruction.
When Jia Li got to the café where she was supposed to et up with Li Huan, she asked the driver to leave first, she would call him later.
Jia Li walked into the cafe with her gaze looking everywhere in search of Li Huan. Her mind relaxed a little when she heard a familiar male voice calling out to her.
Jia Li smiled as her gaze t Li Huan's then she walked towards him.
Li Huan was all smiles when he saw Jia Li and stood up from his seat. When she was close enough, he hugged her with a warm smile.
Jia Li was surprised by his actions and called out to him in a soft tone, "Brother Huan..."
Li Huan recovered from his excitent and let her go as he apologized, "I'm sorry, I was so excited to see you. Please sit down and order what you want."
Jia Li managed a smile and sat on the chair he pulled out for her, without knowing that soone has been watching her since Li Huan called out her na.
With the na being called out like that in public, it was normal for soone who knew her or have heard about her to glance over in curiosity.
Jia Li not knowing that she was being watched and so scenes being captured with a phone cara, placed her drink order.
She ordered tea, while Li Huan ordered a cup of coffee.
