SHAWN
Uriel and I had surrounded the mansion the mont Ethan ca face-to-face with the Alpha.
And with the guards closing in on him, we slipped in, imdiately scouring the maze-like house. After years of running through the hallways and corridors and trying to hide from our father, we breezed in like ghosts.
However, Uriel was imnsely worried while my face was a mask of coldness.
"What if Ethan isn’t able to get out?"
"It’s simple..." I shrugged. "We get Davina out and go to him."
We moved, finally seeing through a trail of blood that led up to a room at the end of the hallway. It could be a trap set by the Alpha or the guards.
But as we got closer, her scent was heavy in the air. My wolf stirred, as after being starved of his mate, he was on the brink of going feral.
We swung the door open, and were hit by the thick sll of blood, sweat, and gri, and at the end of the room, lay a frail body, with eyes staring soullessly.
"Davina?" I gasped, rushing into the room and pulling her into my embrace.
She was almost weightless, with dried up blood, tears, and mucus all over face.
"What did that bastard do to you?"
Uriel was looking out the window at the sa ti, checking for any incoming guards.
"Shawn..." A tear slipped from her eyes, as she clasped my chin in her dry palm. "I almost killed a person."
"Aria...she almost died in my arms."
My brows creased, realizing that a lot must have happened behind closed doors. They must have t each other, a eting that shouldn’t have happened only if our plan didn’t spiral out of control.
"Aria is not dead..." I wiped her tears off with my thumb. "You don’t have to bla yourself for whatever happened."
However, she shook her head, "I don’t recognize myself anymore. I go crazy, rebellious, and even want to kill."
"What’s happening?"
I desperately wanted to tell her nothing was happening but I also seen that change in her that night. She held down, proving to be stronger than my Alpha abilities.
But this wasn’t the ti to discuss this or continue to reassure her.
Uriel took up on his feet, "We need to leave!"
At the sa ti, I carried Davina in my arms, rushing out of the mansion.
But I could feel Ethan’s fear at this mont, the sinking feeling he had too.
"We are done here. Get the hell out of there!" I said.
However, he couldn’t move an inch as the guards had surrounded him. Uriel could feel it too, the growing worry inside of us. But the most important thing was that we had Davina now.
I set her down on her feet, her body still frail against mine.
"Can you leave for your mother’s house?"
"Huh?" She blinked, staring back at us. "Why? Aren’t you coming with ?"
"Is Ethan not waiting for us?"
"Of course, he is..." I lied. "But we have to clean up a few things."
"Do you have the keys to the house?"
She shook her head, "Don’t worry, I can get in without the key."
Quickly, I nudged her forward, begging her to leave. Her mother’s house wasn’t the best place to hide because the minute the Alpha would realize she was gone, that was most likely the spot they would go to.
But that was the only place for now. She had to recuperate while we held our father off.
My chest tightened, as I watched her limp away. I couldn’t breathe for a mont, as my soul bond with my wolf tightened too.
He almost snapped, to go after her. To keep her safe and wrap her up in our embrace.
But Uriel pulled away, back to the mansion. We had a resolution but our faces were grim. It was either life or death now.
Barging into the mansion from the front gates was easy. As the guards spotted us, they pointed their guns and daggers at us.
We walked amidst the growing danger, and finally, we ca face to face with the dramatic scene before us.
Uriel almost laughed out loud when he saw Aria hugging Ethan like a clutch.
And the Alpha, had a gun pointed at his own son. The coldness in his eyes, was freezing. A feeling of damnation, no fucking care about what would happen and I knew that feeling too well.
"We can’t move rashly." I mind-linked the brothers, with my fists tightening.
And finally, the Alpha looked at Uriel and and his lips curled slowly.
"I guess the family is all complete."
"Family?" Uriel sneered. "Maybe like a circus show, father."
"Well, we could say that." He shrugged, as he started to circle Aria and Ethan, but then stopped before us.
Imdiately, Uriel and I had to be on character.
"I gave Ethan a condition. Your lover, or your lives."
"Choose."
"Are you going to shoot us all? Really?" Uriel asked.
"Of course..." He shrugged. "But you can redeem yourselves, if you tell the truth."
At that mont, his face hardened even more, and even though he tried to hide it, there was a deep curiosity in his mind.
However, there was nothing in the world that could make us tell him the truth about our wolves. If he wanted to find out, it would be at the brink of his death while our canines dug into his flesh.
And with a snap of my fingers, Ethan pushed Aria to the floor.
Bang!
Her body rolled straight to the Alpha’s feet, and she struggled, eyes wide in fear. Her pale face thrilled , as that was the sa expression Davina had during countless months of bullying.
This was our ultimate goal. To give her a taste of her dicine.
The Alpha looked up at us, in shock, and at that mont, my lips curled wickedly, mirroring his.
"Kill her."
"What?" Aria and the Alpha gasped at the sa ti.
Ethan shrugged, as he ca to stay at our side, and at that mont, we started to move out of the mansion.
"Since we have given her to you. We can leave freely, right?"
We didn’t wait for an answer, as we turned on our heels to leave. However, we knew stepping past the gates was never going to be easy.
"Stop those brats!" The Alpha yelled, and quickly, the guards ca rushing at us.
Was this the mont? The mont when we would finally reveal our true selves?
