They continued to look around until Kai spotted one that caught his eye. "How about this one? In the financial district of the town, so criminals need to be caught. Since they have mana, the guards are having a hard ti catching them."

"Cool, let’s go." They took on a request that needed help with catching low-level criminals, thinking it would be fun.

"Excuse , we’re adventurers who accepted the request to catch so criminals. Is this the right place to be?" Kai asked, arriving at the town security office.
"Ahh, yes. You’re license, please." A man doing paperwork asked.
They handed the man their license.
Once looking at it, the man confird Kai and Gwen were at least a D-Rank adventure, even catching notice of the ten orbs that were beneath Kai’s rank, signifying that he was also a Hunter, a damn good one at that.
Nodding, he handed the two of them back his license.
"We are looking for ten people who reside in the eastern part of town. It’s a small gang of criminals, newly ford. They have been causing trouble for months, stealing, harassing, bribing, and even assaulting people. They want to make a na for themselves."
"I see. Anything I can go off of to know who they are? Kai asked
"They all wear a jacket with a sword logo on the back with a sword tattoo on either their face, arm, hand, or chest. They have a small place they go to as their hideout."
"Why haven’t you caught them yet? They shouldn’t be a problem if they are a new gang, especially with all these adventures in town." Gwen wondered
"Sigh." The man leaned back in his chair, rubbing his eyes and nose ridge. "Their leader is the son of the Mayor, and no one wants to get on the Mayor’s bad side. Because of this, no one accepts this request, and even the Mayor allows his son to do what he does. Not to ntion, the gang has mana, so it’s hard to put them in their place."
"The Mayor works for the Noble in charge of this territory, right? Couldn’t you just send a letter to the Noble of this land, telling him about this situation?" Kai wondered
"They’re brothers."
"Ahh, I get it now. Don’t worry, we’ll handle everything without spilling any blood or causing any trouble."
"I pray you are successful. Just a heads up, everyone who has ever accepted this request didn’t make it out so pretty afterward. You can back out if you like."
"Nah, I got this." Smiling, Kai teleported out of the building alongside Gwen, appearing in the sky.
"What the fuck!?" The man yelled with confusion in his voice

Gwen knew Kai was powerful after seeing him effortlessly handle the trolls, but to see his magical prowess like this was sothing she wasn’t expecting.

It was easy to spot where the gang was. It was the most rundown and closed-off area on the eastern side of the town. Barely anyone lived there, and those who did were all indoors, not daring to leave their hos.
The gang was in the largest building in the center of the area. Kai sensed ten individuals inside and then used his x-ray vision to look past the obstruction, spotting what he was looking for.
"Heh, let’s have so fun." From the sky, he rocketed into the building, breaking through the roof at high speed, making sure to use a barrier to protect Gwen.
"Woah! What the fuck was that!" A boy yelled.
"Hey, boss, that looks like a person."
"Oh great, another adventure is here to ’arrest us’." They all laughed at the thought of that happening.
"Are you the son of the Mayor?" Kai asked, looking at a young man, around 23, who was tall and muscular with black hair.
"I am. What of it?" The boy asked
Kai smirked, "Sweet! So, do you want to do this the easy way, or the hard way?"
"Haha, bro, he thinks he can scare us. Hey man, what’s the easy way?" One of them asked
"You co with and turn yourselves in." Kai announced
"Hahaha! And the hard way?"
Gwen spoke this ti. "You all die."

"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!"

"That’s the funniest shit I heard this whole week!"
"Listen, dude." A tall boy walked up to Kai. "Don’t co here on our turf making demands like that, you hear ? Maybe I’ll listen to you if you let us have so fun with this hottie, though." He turned to Gwen, licking his lips.
She gave him a disgusted look, clearly not interested in his fantasy.
"So what option are you choosing?" Kai asked, ignoring the guy in front of him.
"This bitch!" The guy in front of Kai swung with all his might, punching him in the face. He had mana and was training to be a warrior. He wasn’t afraid of anyone. But when his punch landed, the only thing everyone heard was *CRACK*, and the guy’s arm broke, his bones shattering in multiple places.
"ARGHHHHHHHHHH! MY ARMMMMM! MY FUCKING ARM!!"
"The fuck?! What did you do?!" They demanded, getting their weapons ready.
"I did nothing. He’s the one who broke his arm on my face." Kai smiled.
"Let’s get him, guys!"
They all attacked, charging at the two of them with their weapons drawn, looking for blood.
It was obvious that they were amateurs, and they were used to having the power to do what they wanted.
Gwen easily dodged an attack coming her way, jabbing her staff in the back of one guy’s head, knocking him out.
Another one ca at her from the front, but she pointed her staff at him, shooting a fireball at his chest.
The others attacked Kai, but he unloaded all his mana onto the area, watching as each of them collapsed to the ground under imnse pressure.
’We fucked up! We fucked up big!’ The Mayor’s son yelled in his head as fear crept into his body.
Releasing so stress, Kai and Gwen brutally beat everyone of them except the Mayor’s son.
