"Wait, what? Why are we running?" Everyone followed Kai and started running for their lives. They didn’t understand why, but they assud Kai had a reason for not staying to fight since he wasn’t one to run away from a fight.
"I have no idea! I just wanted to run!" Kai laughed like a madman as he looked behind himself, seeing all of the pirates chasing them.
"What?!" Amaya was offended. "We can take them! We don’t need to run!"
"I know, but this is going to be so much fun!"
"Fun? How is this going to be fun?" Kyana felt the urge to shoot so of the pirates in the head, but Kai stopped her. She didn’t get his reasoning and thought he was being weird.
"Because we’ll be fugitives! We’ll send the pirates on a silly goose chase until they get pissed as fuck. We can also take this ti to destroy parts of their fleet. It’s genius!"
"No, that’s extrely dumb. We could just get rid of them right now." Gwen conjured fire arrows and let them fly at the pirates, cutting so of them down.
"Gwen! What are you doing?! We’re supposed to be running away, not attacking them!"
"If Kai says we run, then we run!" Karumi wasn’t even running. She was still on Kai’s neck.
"Shut up, you fox. I’m staying behind to fight!" Amaya stomped her foot, using earth magic for the first ti. She then heated them up until they beca lava balls, then launched them at the pirates while taking out her sword to cut them down as well.
"Wait! Aamay! We need to run!"
"Sorry, Kai, but I’m fighting as well." Kyana’s water and lightning spirits combined their power with her bow, and a volley of powerful arrows rained down on the pirates.
Nadya forced all of their enemies into one space, not allowing them to escape the lava balls and arrows. She smiled at Kai, who was shocked to see her join the others.
"Oh yeah! Help out, Gwen!" Sasha turned her hamr into a staff and spun it so fast that it created a tornado. Gwen added her power to it, making it a flaming tornado, and they launched it forward.
"Oh, co on! It’s not like I was saying we are running away because I’m scared. I just wanted to play a ga of cat and mouse."
Karumi rubbed her head on Kai’s cheek to calm him down. She was on his side and would do anything he asked. She also took the ti to sll him because she loved his scent.
"Thanks, Karumi, you’re the best. I’m gonna pump 100 kids into you."
Hearing those words, Karumi transford back into her true form and hugged Kai so tight that he was nearly suffocated.
"Yes! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We’ll have super-strong children! A divine spirit and the child of a god, our kids will be the best ever!"
"Now’s not the ti to get all lovey-dovey when you’re in the middle of the battle."
Kai and Karumi turned to see one of the pirates, who was half burned, pull up to them with a lted sword.
"Who the fuck is this clown?" Kai felt bad for the poor man. He was half burned, had a lted sword, was clearly tired, and was already on the older side. And now, he’s going to die.
"Don’t interrupt us, you lowly vermin." Karumi’s tail flew directly into the man’s head and killed him without a second thought.
"Whoa! Just like that? Wow." Kai had never seen Karumi kill a person because when he saved her, the only person they had to battle was the demon lord. So he didn’t know how she felt about taking a life. But now he has his answer.
Then again, she was always talking about strength, so he should have expected this.
Over in the void realm, Cassie had Leo in a leg lock while watching Kai on the screen.
"I like that girl. While she may not be a deity, she’s a divine spirit, so that’s close enough. And her personality is perfect for my little boy."
"I yield! I yield!" Leo tapped out, allowing Cassie to win their little battle.
Back on the surface, Gwen and the others completely exterminated the pirates and were now taking anything of value that they had, at Sasha’s request.
"That was fast. They took them out in like three minutes!" Karumi was impressed by the power Kai’s other girls possessed. He had told her that she would beco as strong as well in due ti, and she couldn’t wait.
She was already stronger than a tier-10 torrent and was on the level of a demon lord. Carleen was just stronger than normal, being at the level of a baseline demon king.
Amaya kicked a head like it was a ball for fun. "See, Kai. We could have taken them out easily!"
"Yeah, I know. I just wanted to play around a bit. Well, since this is definitely going to co bite us in the ass. Let’s get a move on. We’ll travel to Gazonga...Nah, let’s find where the leader of these pirates is. We’ll show ’em who’s boss!"
"Is that a good idea?" Barry asked
Kai slapped Barry on the back. "Man up, pussy. It’s ti to put on your big boy pants. We don’t run away from fights. Ti to set sail!"
Kyana’s ears twitched. As an elf, she had really good hearing, but sotis, it could be her downfall. "No! We’re not getting back on the water! Kai, please! Please let us take the carriage! I’m begging you!"
"Kyana, it’s okay. You’ll be fine."
"I’ll be damd if I get back on that fucking ship!"
"Well, hello, Damd, nice to et you. I’m Kai."
"Don’t you DAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"
Kau grabbed Kyana and took off into the air until he found the river. He threw his ship into the water, teleported everyone on board, then landed with Kyana in his arms.
"Cornelia! Set a course for...Just follow the river, and if danger arises, we’ll handle it!"
"Aye, Aye, Captain!"
"No, Kai! Please let off! Please! The trees are calling ! I need the tr-"
Kai knocked her out so she could get so good sleep.
